  1. Rouge Zentran forces attack the Frontier colonies. Ranka is sent out to stop them, as she hops aboard a now fully grown giant Ai-Kun, armed with sound boosters and flashy disco lights. Reversal of the Fleet of Strongest Women, anyone? Bored and in need of a new hobby, Ozuma starts a Fire Bomber tribute band, with Bobby as the lead singer. Alto, sporting pink hair, joins as the band's bassist. Klan, in need of letting her anger and frustration out, joins as the drummer.
  2. Same here. I don't play with them, I merely display them. However the fact alone that my shelf is covered in them, is odd enough. XD Oh well.. Try telling others that each piece is a masterpiece & a work of art, costing no less than 200 bucks a pop - therefor them not being toys, but rather high end collector items? I predict an overpriced figure, costing $175USD complete with exploding shoulder screws ala DX. (kidding)
  3. It's so identical to the DX, it might as well be the exact same mold, just scaled down a bit. Even the foot thrusters need to be semi-closed for a decent gerwalk standing pose. In any case - looks great! Any word on how they plan on releasing the other valks? Will it be one valk(or type, i.e.: VF-25) a month or something?
  4. Gotta hand it to Yamato - They listen to the complaints and take action. Can't say that for many other companies out there. Awesome pics of the VF-0!
  5. For sure: - VF-1D If they ever get made: - Elintseeker - Ostrich - VF-1J Max - VF-1J Millia
  6. Hey, that works pretty good! Thanks! Alto has a much better neck now. Does the RVF-25 come with more than one ghost, like the model kit? :3 Regardless, the fact that one is (hopefully) included is AWESOME! Can't wait for March.
  7. Yikes. Not so sure about how to fix that. If it happened to me, I would have sent it back. Same here! That makes three accounts so far, with two of them leading to breaks. Anyone else have these shoulder issues with their DX's?
  8. It's an easy fix (if there is a little stub left, to grab onto and twist out): Replace the screw. First, try to twist out the broken piece of the screw - I used a pair of pliers to do this. Try to grab onto the broken piece as hard as possible, then twist & turn as if removing any other screw. The pliers kept slipping off, so a tight grip is needed. For a replacement screw: - Either ask at a hardware store - Or use a screw from another toy/figure. It may be hard to find the right one, though - I used a small screw which was located on the back of the head of a very old Bandai VF-17. The second casualty. I wonder how many others are defected.
  9. After transforming the Alto a couple of times, I found out that the wings were not bent, but they were incorrectly locked into position. @_@ *fails at transforming the VF-25* (thanks to all who offered tips!) Also, I fixed the broken shoulder screw. Simply took a screw from my old Bandai VF-17 (the one on the back of the head) and used it on Alto's shoulder joint. Fits like a glove, and the pieces hold together quite well!! Woo hoo!! If your shoulder joints are too stiff, weaken the screw a bit, it may last a bit longer. Overall, I'm lovin' the DX. The only thing which I find to be incredibly lame are the leg fins... Instead of tilting at an angle in fighter mode, they point straight down. :/ The transformation process is identical to the model kit, so those who own it will be transforming the 1/60 with ease. Also, where does it say that the DX is 1/60 scale? Haven't found it anywhere on the box, or instructions. Fins: Some more Gerwalk love:
  10. The two metal shoulder parts are held together by a philips cross-head screw - the DX is filled with em. I removed the broken screw stub by using pliers, twisting it out like any other screw. Will look for a replacement one later in the week. It looks roughly 5-7 mm in length.
  11. After close inspection: Nope, it's just the head of the screw, which holds two metal pieces together. It looks like a simple fix though: Replace the screw. The main question is, what type is it? The shoulder ball joint is REALLY tight, which may have caused the screw to break. In any case, aside from the battle-damage, the DX is quite nice! Gerwalk mode has it's limitations, and fighter mode has bent wings, but overall, it's pretty good. Wing:
  12. MY SHOULDER (screw) BROKE Check those screws! I didn't even get a chance to transform it from fighter to gerwalk, straight out of the box, without the screw head breaking off: Is this easy to replace? The screw is rather small, and I have 0 knowledge on hardware stuff :/ Just my luck... EDIT: Alto's sad now. "Can I has screw?" EDIT2: More pics - Gerwalk
  13. Is the fuselage a new mold? O_o Looks far more sleeker and less chunkier compared to Alto and Ozuma's... That, or they did a bit of Photoshop work... Amazing pics. @_@
  14. Those pics are rather old, but I haven't seen them at such a good resolution. Darn, Luca and Michel look MIGHTY fine. :] Love those Gerwalk poses! Good to see something other than those "hip-thrust" poses. Ozuma is a big fat PASS for me (unless they fix the neck, and release it as a super pack bundle with a cheaper price tag), but I might pick up one of those two above ^
  15. Darn! If only they were on sale earlier. Now I'd rather wait for the 1/60 V2 release of these two. (if that ever happens) I'm pretty much done with the 1/48 line. :/

    yamato's next move

Seeing how the 1/60 destroid line is the current trend, what are the chances of Yamato making a figure (line) of one of those "Orguss" cameos from the Macross TV show? Super Dimension Century Orguss figures, anyone?
  17. THANKS!! Amazing pics. My wallet cringed, just thinking about a possible M&M VF-1J relese - and now this! TV MAX! Do want! Might have to ask the boss for a raise. XD Looks like I won't be done with the VF-1 afterall...
  18. Wow, those colors are chipping away pretty fast. O_O Looks as if there won't be anymore after a few more transformations... As much as I am disappointed with the DX, I'm looking forward to getting my Alto for a more in depth look at this thing, and build my final conclusion. Also, Alto has one massive, MASSIVE gaping mouth there, as if he was doing this: =O Sorry if this has been asked before, but are the intake covers removable? They look as if they can simply pop in and out.
  19. It's just a small crack. Nothing a bit of glue can't fix. It's not like it's broken or anything. In any case, the best thing to do is to hold the piece tightly if you plan on moving the arm around in any way. Other than that it should be ok. That would be awesome indeed! I hope that these other variants are not only the double seaters, but also custom color schemes as well, like the 1/48 Low Vis Ver.2.
  20. Good to see Guld didn't want to be defeated by Myria. - My 1/60 YF-19 had a near-death experience after falling off a tall shelf in Battroid mode. The valk hit the floor and parts went flying everywhere: legs fell off, and the valk was split in two. Fearing the worst, I went in to collect the debris, only to see that the parts snapped snuggly back into their regular positions. Now Isamu is back on the shelf in one piece without a singly scratch or stress mark. - I had my 1/60 Destroid Tomahawk on my monitor, but one little knock of my knee against the desk sent him crashing to (what I expected to be) his doom. The gun barrels were scattered and those little caps behind the guns had popped off, but again, all pieces snapped easily together again. No scratches or anything!
  21. IA is insanely over-priced. They want Alto's 1/60 DX for $180, and $65 for the model kit.
  22. That 1D cockpit looks amazing. O_O Woo! A face on Hikaru!

    yamato's next move

Quoted for truth. Seriously though, it all depends on what licenses they still have. Macross DYRL, Macross Plus, VFX-2, etc... Predictions: - More destroids (gotta release em all! Perhaps even enemy mecha in 1/60 scale.) - 1/60 v2.0 Armor - double seater 1/60 v2.0 VF-1 valks such as the Elintseeker and Ostrich. - Re-issue of the König Monster, perhaps (seeing how they re-issued the Queadluun-Raus)? Quite a bit more to go. In any case, I do hope Yamato picks up the Frontier line. The sooner the better!
  24. No, unfortunately None (canceled my only preorder - The cockpit and pilot are absolutely terrifying. You can't even remove the "pilot" (blob of plastic)...) Bewbs
  25. Thanks a bunch for the review Graham!! The DX is a definite pass now. Absolutely disappointing in every aspect. I ordered Alto's VF, but it will not be placed anywhere near the 1/60 Yamato Valks. Won't be pursuing the 1/60 Frontier line anymore, and will instead invest in the model kits and perhaps the 1/100 line. Both are cheaper and look much better.
