Those are some sweet SHE models there! I'm working on a variable white VF-19-S, 1/100 Bandai. [attachmentid=40449] (top right pic has been edited to see how the final colors could look like.) The paint scheme will be like Roy's Skull Squadron (White, Black and Yellow). Still have to find the "Jolly Rogers" logo somewhere. =p

Thanks for the welcome everyone! That's a fantastic link, 007-vf1. Thanks for posting that! Here's my old VF-0D: Didn't take any close-up shots because the paint job was... lame.. very lame. (cloud photo was taken when I flew to Chicago on vacation, the VF0D was maniped slightly to give it a blur effect and to fix some paint errors.. All done in Photoshop.) That's it for now, time to get back to modeling.

I think the closest thing we'll see to Macross this year is "Engage Planet: Kissdom", http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21183 . I could imagine them doing a Macross Zero "Movie", like what they did with DYRL, Mac+, Mac7, etc..

Hi! I’ve been lurking the boards for a couple of years now and have finally decided to join up. As for me: I grew up watching Robotech when I was a kid (preferred it over Transformers due to the characters & story and quite obviously the Valks), but once I’ve watched Mac+, then DYRL?, I started to dislike Robotech more and more.. Now I’m a macros-nut, collecting Yammies, models and looking forward to each new thing related to Macross. :] (need to find a better job, those Yamatos are getting more and more expensive..) I’m not a good modeler, but I try to improve.. In any case here’s a WIP I might work on later: Got a few questions I hope someone might answer: - My next model is the 1/100 “Knight of Gold†from Five Star Stories, and I’ve been wondering: How do ya get that golden color? It shouldn’t be too shiney, just a little bit of gloss. Which colors should be mixed to get this gold? Should I paint the pieces while they’re in the tray, or build some parts together (like a leg piece, or a head) and then paint them? Any help would be great! -Oddy
