  1. (with the VF-1J's super pack, mid pic is a close up shot of the head and upper chest, third pic is proof that I fail at posing things. XD) Just got mine from Over-Drive-Inc. My first purchase there. Great communication, very fast delivery, great service.
  2. If they do release ALL variations (including the VF-4, VF-2, 171, and 27), then I might consider getting one of each for the sake of a complete line of valks. I'm not going to pick one up after the other in hopes of Bandai releasing the rest, only to have them stop right in the middle of the line. Edit: VF-25 Questions... - That fighter-mode gunpod looks severely deformed. O_o Was it packaged like that? Or is it just the angle? - Can the ankles be pushed into the legs in fighter mode? - Can those antennae horns be pushed inwards for a more parallel look? like so: "| |" rather than "\ /" ? - How tall is this figure in battroid mode and how long in fighter mode?
  3. HLJ.com has the T-600 and T-700 up for Early Bird, but they are a bit pricey... T-600: http://www.hlj.com/product/HTT17253 T-700: http://www.hlj.com/product/HTT17254 T-700 Factory: http://www.hlj.com/product/HTT17251 On ET yesterday there was a short video showing nothing but brand new footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bt1ZV1bOJGs There might be a new trailer up at "Yahoo! Movies" on Tuesday, March 3rd.
  4. Interesting read. Wow he directed his first movie at 24? Makes me feel old...
  5. I can't wait for mine to re-enact the moment where... *drum roll* ... RICK HUNTER catches MINMAY. *dodges brick* Sorry, had to do that. *dodges tomato and runs off* Seriously, this is the ultimate valk for me. That scene will always define Macross for me, since I grew up watching the first volume over and over, staring in awe at what would become my most favorite anime, hell, TV show.
  6. The interactive/video game industry is recession proof, so I've heard. Hasn't effect me in the least bit. Still going to get all two-seaters VF-1, the VF-11B, amongst many other film related memorabilia this year.
  7. O_O Absolutely STUNNING! That thing looks perfect. Don't change it, Bandai (and turn it into a DX Chunkykin)! "And there will be in-scale Valks included." WOOHOOOO!!! This year will seriously brankrupt me - and I'll love it. Now if only they would release a 1/2000 scale Macross 7 and Macross 25, to place next to the Yammie SDF-1...
  8. Sorry for beating a dead horse but: OH MY F- GOD! O_O What's the expected price for this? Two, three - thousand? Alright, that does it. I'm turning the guest room in my house into: "The Yamato Shrine/Mini Temple" Seriously, I'm happy to see Macross get such an excellent company making high end products for it. I'm extremely grateful to see Yamato to pay so much interest in Macross, and making our dreams of owning these figures in perfect detail and craftsmanship, a reality. It's great to be a Macross fan.
  9. The VF-19 fire bomber looks really.... Wrong. :/ Thighs too long, legs too short, arms too long - proportions are way off. I fear the other releases. Hope it's only a prototype and not the final product.

    yamato's next move

Big? Transforms? No Monster? It must be the Variable Glaug! Ahh, wishful thinking at it's worst... Would obviously love a large scale SDF-1. If there is one, hopefully they will release two versions: TV and DYRL
  11. Just out of curiosity: Will Bandai fix the over-tight, exploding shoulder issues with Michel and Luca's valks? What other valks are planned after those two are released? The VF-27? Cannon fodder VF-25?
  12. HOLY SH!T I have but one question: WHEN? I'm definitely getting two of the Elintseeker and Ostrich. No doubt in my mind. Speaking of two-seaters, when is HLJ going to start offering the VF-1D?

    yamato's next move

If it does turn out to be the VF-4, I'll behave exactly like that kid, who just received a Nintendo-64 for Christmas... "YAMATO VF-FOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUURRR!!! OMG!!" *claws at the box* Sounds most excellent. Looking forward to hearing more.
  14. It's clearly obvious, the blue one is the VF-19. Not only does the color give it away - the chest, shoulders and head is what defines it. It looks nothing like the 27, especially with the pointy nose sticking out of its high raised chest, the organic shoulders and the round antennae, which the 27 lacks. The red one is more likely a VAJRA- Looks like claws, and is nothing similar to the japanese scribe in the Nyan Nyan logo. Note the head shape on the bottom of the pic. The Quarter is obviously the Quarter, Battle Frontier doesn't have the two towering cannons on its back. *hits buzzer* And that's my final answer, Bob!
  15. Just got Ozma's 25. He has "enough" neck to make one happy. Just have to play around with the shoulder and chest plates a bit. Almost all the production photos have the chest and shoulder pieces mistransformed, making the neck appear non existent. These are straight out of the box shots, no modifications at all: The neck looks longer in real life, about the same length as a Yammie YF19. No broken shoulders yet. (loosened the screws just in case)
  16. Perfect! Simply beautiful. Might have to break down and get 2. >_< Gotta love the heatshield mechanism. It's almost exactly as I had imagined it.
  17. For a moment there I thought Bandai was making the YS-19/YF-21. It's amazing how close the design and quality of the DX is compared to the old Yamato 1/72 line.
  18. My Alto's shoulder screw exploded straight out of the box, during the first transformation from fighter to gerwalk. Luckily half of the screw was sticking out, so I managed to twist that out and replace it with another one. Other than that, the shoulder joint is extremely tight. Paint chipping: Mine is still mint! I try not to let the thigh intakes touch any of the paint on the body section. So far so good. Getting Ozuma Lee's VF-25 this week (hopefully), and will replace the shoulder screws the moment I take him out of the box.
  19. The VF-25S has the same problem too? O_O Darn, I just ordered mine, and it should be here in a few days... Not so sure if I'm looking forward to opening it. :/ Best to remove all shoulder screws the moment you get the figure and replace them.
  20. Even if Yamato repairs the issue or not, the problem is so minuscule and so easily corrected, it’s not even an issue compared to what other companies are releasing these days… The VF-25 DX have ultra tight shoulders which break, leaving half of the screw embedded within the broken piece – making any repair attempts impossible. The 1/60s on the other hand only have a hairline crack which is easily fixed with some super glue, even if it breaks apart – hardly any cause for alarm. If one does encounter the crack, just hold onto the piece while moving the arm and nothing can happen. Both my 1st issue Roy and Hikaru have been transformed multiple times (Roy nearly 80 times – 3 to 5 times a day) with no crack in sight. Bring on the Vermilion squadron!
  21. I thought so. :/ By the time they have exhausted all possible VF-25, and VF-1 paint variants, we'll most likely see the VF-4, VF-27, etc - which may take over a year. Hopefully by then, technology would have improved and better sculpts at smaller scales will be possible.
  22. From my understanding the Macross 11 is a city built on entertainment (home to Lynn Kaifun), thus the decorations and other visual goodies. I could be wrong...
  23. Is there a simple way to loosen the shoulder joint? My Alto has an extremely tight left shoulder, which caused the screw to burst.
