    Walking Minmay Doll

Vintage indeed. At the bottom of this list: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/imai/imai_orig.htm
  2. Blog post about the prototype, didn't transform it. http://ameblo.jp/digitamin/entry-11962978869.html
  3. Well speaking of breaking stuff, the moving arm of the gun of my VF-25A just broke. The little C clip: Is 90% broken off. I put tape on it to make sure it don't disappear until I get some ABS weld. That arm is always the tightest joint of the whole unit.
  4. Correct pre-tax (8%) price. Japanese local stores and magazines are legally required to list after-tax price.
  5. I guess HLJ's no discount is why ami-ami suddenly has VF-0D ranked #2 in popularity today. HLJ: closed Nippon-yasan: closed Anime-export: closed Ami-ami: open Hobby search: open CD Japan: open
  6. It got a new stand that is different from the same old fixed angle of the other DX.

    Hi-Metal R

I guess there will be no DX VF-1 now. Even the Spartan has a baton. Bring us all the Destroids please, and don't forget the Glaug.

    3P SD VF-1S

Yes JM was perfect transformation, since their head are not big like more modern SD Gundam influenced designs. Old Bandai Joke Machines: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/_bandai_hcfockers.htm http://www.chrisrifephotography.com/Toys/Bandai-VF-1S-Macross-Robotech Newer Bandai SD Infinity VF-25F: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10116609 http://blog.livedoor.jp/hacchaka/archives/51591430.html The old JM are very similar to 1:55 - nearly identical joints and movement range, legs on swing bars, has retractable landing gears, cannot attach gun in fighter mode. The biggest charm is the rolling canopy/heat shield gimmick. SD Infinity VF-25F is also perfect transformation, if I remember correctly. It come with two heads - one is bigger for the Battroid mode but it is fine with the smaller head too. This new 3P VF-1 looks very similar to the SD Infinity. On top of the bubble canopy it also don't have landing gears and come with a stand. Base on this pic from their facebook page, the nose opens up like a Yamato 1:60v2 to lock the middle swing bar. I am also not seeing any obvious attachment point for fast packs, but there facebook profile art has them so it's still hopeful.
  9. It's about double of the other two "Variable action hi spec" figures: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10250026 and http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10250016 2x modes, 2x price? They even haven't fixed the tiny cockpit!
  10. Well like many here I already have a good collection of Yamato 1:60v2 VF-1. To be able to market a new version of VF-1 for collectors, I think it need to have some significant improvements. I would like see these IMO minor problems on the 1:60v2 fixed: 1) Better range of movement of shoulder joint. 2) No more shoulder and wing blocking each other in gerwalk mode. 3) Better leg movement range for battroid mode. Extendable heap joint like the DX YF-30 would be neat. Awkward legs like the 1:72 model would be bad. 4) Leg again - the lower legs can be a bit shorter, like the wave models. 5) Fast pack connection on the back without needing an extra mount bracket, or at least less visible. But the 1:48 way that put a lot of weight on a small plastic hook is also not ideal.
  11. Yeah the toy is still missing the retractable refueling probe! Time to cancel?
  12. One step closer to YF-21? NASA Tests Revolutionary Shape Changing Aircraft Flap for the First Time
  13. I don't think Bandai will make transforming VF models again soon, not even new stuff from Macross Delta. 1:72 VF-25 was not that popular - they are expensive, difficult to build and fragile. If that line was a commercial success they would have continued with 1:48 or 1:72 YF-29. Even the 1:72 Queadluun-Rhea shown in shows was not released. Than 1 year ago Bandai try again with the 1:72 VF-1. The end product is fragile and have awkward proportion. It is again not a commercial success otherwise we would see at least a Hikaru VF-1J. I think with VF, Bandai haven't been able to attend a good balance between the toy-like quality of their gunpla and the detail level of military model. They try to appeal to fans of both side but was not able to. It will be interesting to see if they can do better with their new Star Wars models.
  14. Serious answer - we will probably see more at their Macross event at Nov 22-23: http://tamashii.jp/special/macross_sheryl/
  15. Yeah just look at the 20000 yen YF-30. This one is all new mold so it's not gona be cheap. What's the second rumor?
  16. Also ordered 3, but from AE since their price is lowest. AE need you to pay now but when the way gas price going it's better for us to pay now anyway. We can compare their shipping price to Canada in a few months.
  17. False. They can do way more than the launch arm stand or those from Bandai VF-25.
  18. They are showing a dark green version and a dark brown version in magazine, but only listed a dark brown version for pre-order. Is there going to be two versions?
  19. anime-export 31280 (must pay in advance) http://www.anime-export.com/product/22062 CD Japan 33120 (get 3% 993 points) http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-124116
  20. Yeah amiami price has been funny - 31400 is 85.326% of 36800. If it is like the Arcadia YF-19, HLJ would have 10% off listed and the Black Friday special would add another 10% off that price, making it 19% off. I haven't seen any better price for the YF-19 listed.
  21. Still available on CDJapan, and if you count the award points the final price is competitive. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOGDS-111209
  22. No idea if these two are reliable shops. http://chimungmung.com/product_info.php?products_id=2056 http://www.robotkingdom.com/pre-order-by-month/october-2014/mmsdf1.html
  23. So would any 3rd party consider making VF-1 Joke Machine reneweal, please? Same rolling cockpit, better paint job, gun mount in fighter mode and ball joints on legs? May be $60 each? Bandai already killed their SD DX line so there is no competition from there.
