    DX Chogokin Super VF-27

Some how Amiami choose the 2010 version of the comparison pic from Bandai as the main pic

    DX Chogokin Super VF-27

Probably the same half-body Ranka in the old one: http://gamu-toys.info/goukin/gouki/dx12vf27/01.html Looking back at the old one, one big improvement with the new one is the darker color of the jet nozzles.

  4. I doubt the seller actually get that kind of money. Here is the bidding list: http://pageinfo13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/show/bid_hist?aID=r102046759 The winner is a new account with no feedback. I guess the second highest bidder made a mistake when entering his bid, so he made a new fake account to outbid himself.
  5. When you change your mind, read the second page of this old thread http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=32213
  6. iShop2go seems to come back with a few Yamato VF-1 in stock at normal price. http://www.myshop2go.com/shop/products/yamato-macross---list_h---56------------------------------en.html I don't know if the new site/shop is reliable. It previously got a bad rep here for failed to deliver many Bandai VF-25 pre-orders.
  7. Announced releases: June 29, 4725yen (4500 yen before tax) for DYRL Hikaru VF-1A/1S June 29, 2100 yen (2000 yen before tax) for fast/strike pack And we got new scans: Back back still looks small for fighter mode. Like: Gerwalk legs can really point forward.

    Japan bound toys

Heh the VF-17S I just received from HKC last night do not have a Bigwest sticker, but the VF-17 fast pack that was shipped together has it. The VF-17S seems fine and transform OK with the usual Yamato quark. The VF-19S I got from HKC 2 weeks ago has the sticker.
  9. The basic: Yamato the toy company was closed recently. Some of their products were taken over but a new company but the status of their Macross product is unknown, so the price of many Yamato made Macross toys had shot up significantly. Current best transforming toys: VF-1: Yamato 1:60 version 2, Yamato 1:48, Bandai 1:100 VF-hi-metal. Made sure you don't carelessly bought a Yamato 1:60 version 1 from eBay. VF-11: Yamato 1:60 VF-11. VF-11B can still be found at good price at hkcollectables.com and eBay. VF-19: Yamato 1:60 VF-19. VF-19S and VF-19Kai can still be found at good price at hkcollectables.com and eBay. VF-17: Yamato 1:60 VF-17. VF-17S can still be found at good price at hkcollectables.com and eBay. I would not recomment YF-21/VF-22 to new comers. The others are too expensive now. VF-25/YF29/VF-171: Bandai DX renewal series. They are well made but due to Bandai being run by fools they are hard to find at reasonable price. There are older version of Bandai DX VF-25 - they are OK but probably not worth the price most sellers are asking for. If you just want some non-transforming action figures, HLJ is still selling some GN-U Duo at give-away price. Model: If you have the skill to build military jet model, there are many VFs from Hasegawa. If you want a toy-like model that is easy to build, let's wait for Bandai 1:72 VF-1 that is coming out in June.
  10. The launch arm stand had four versions. Original greenish gray, reissued a few times: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10139388 Black: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048004 Silver: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10048005 Dark blue: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10114747 Main problem with this stand is very high center of gravity with no hinge at the top, so it cannot hold the unit safely at extreme angles. They also made a smaller "Mighty block" stand: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10088025 Main problem with this stand is the hinges are not strong enough without some simple modification, and it is not tall enough for most battroid mode VF. Original YF-21 and all Sv-51 came with a very good stand, but it is not compatible with the stand adaptors in other VFs. They only have the "display base" left. They are just little shelves, no arm.
  11. Good luck with this one then. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261194039556
  12. The ebay one you linked is the old 1:60 version 1, and will not fit the current 1:60 version 2. For package picture of them, search for them in legit stores: TV fast packs http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00106/Act http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10080637 TV fast pack will be very hard to find since they have been out of production for a long time and saw fewer reissues. DYRL Strike/Fast packs 30th anniversary http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00241/Sci http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10198337
  13. LEGO. Seriously I would like to see Lego license expend to more than just major western movies and comics. And the Macross god himself use Lego for prototyping.
  14. So this one is also getting an armor pack according to the text in this new Hobby Japan scan.
  15. Also notice the pricing: 4725yen (4500 yen before tax) for DYRL Hikaru VF-1A/1S, 2100 yen (2000 yen before tax) for fast/strike pack, both to be released in June. Price is identical to the 1:72 VF-25 releases.
  16. Just to make a wider A stance, looks fragile. Also the back packs of fast/strike pack looks really small, for weight balance in B mode?

    1/60 VF-1 version 3?

++ on those if they want to me buy more VF-1 at 1:48 or 1:60 the articulation need to be significantly improved. 1:48 already had very limited waist joint. If the nosecone can move forward in battroid mode it would also solve the problem with the wings restricting the movement of the legs. The shoulder joints need to be able to pint the arms to 90 degree to the side, and not restricted by the wings in gerwalk mode.
  18. Meh on the SDF-1. Sure it looks nice, but with some many hand modified pieces it is more of a scratch build model.

    Is this for real?

He did change the item status to "shipped". Couldn't really do anything but wait and hope for the best. I mean you do catch good deals on eBay sometime.

    Is this for real?

I had purchased from one of those "1000% GENUINE" account before. It was an out of production robot spirits figure that typically goes for $200+ and it was listed for $40 free shipping. So I payed and of course nothing came after three weeks. The account messaged me and already offered full refund in the second message, but no admission of never actually shipped the damn thing of course. I just took the refund. I think some time later it was listed by one of those accounts at market price.
  21. Just saw it listed: http://www.hlj.com/product/MTBMB-23 http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-3111&page=top Previous discussion: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36352 Similar Macross product from that lines were all convention only limited release. The company also has a "MB Gokin" metal toy line released with co-operation with Yamato, for example, but no hint of if the toy line will include Macross.
  22. It's not hard for Bandai, seeing they have been putting different shades of white and gray on all over those RG sets just because they can. HG vs RG example.
