  1. Much appreciated. I can decode plastic model instructions easily despite known very little of Japanese, but even just the first step of this instruction confuse the hell out of me. Also do any one have access to good scanner to create backup? Would be great for fixing inevitable screw ups...
  2. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40552&p=1184732 0D is taller than a 25.
  3. It's a low quality knock off of the 1:55, with metal part replaced with plastic. Some google search result: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/submissions/jeremy_housdan/_carded_valkyrie.htm http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=12390 Back before year 2000 when Yamato Toys didn't exist yet, there were no new VF-1 toy or model coming out for many years, and a few here would hunt for those as cheap options.

    Hi-Metal R

My only real complain with my hi-metal VF-1S is the fighter mode body-to-leg tabs connect poorly, especially with fast packs on. I am only excited by non-VF units shown, but will probably get the GBP.
  5. It seem the tiny bit of glue was not attaching that piece to a painted die-cast part properly. The piece still attach back to the leg with a weak grasp. So watch out for tiny pieces falling off when you swoosh it around.
  6. Fighter mode - anyone managed to get all the tabs around the lower leg to line up and latch? There are wing-to-leg, leg-to-backpack, leg-to-arms, and body-to-leg tabs. In my unit I found it impossible to fit all the tabs, and best to leave the backpack out of the tab puzzle if I want to keep the gun straight.
  7. Just got mine. I need to remind myself to never use EMS when SAL registered is available - Canada custom always tax those EMS shipments. Some joints are freaking tight especially the intake hinges. The stand adapters has a hex hole that should be only compatible with the new Arcadia stand. Now how the F can I put the fighter mode adapter on without scratching it to hell? Arcadia YF-19 missiles works on it, except the big missile mounts are not attaching, but they already attach poorly on the YF-19. Edit: Damn thing is taller than the 25S. How massive will a 0S + armor be?
  8. Personally I would like to see a wiki for Macross products, kind of like the old front page stuff here but user editable so new info can be added quickly. I have thinked about just adding those to macross.wikia.com but never have the time.
  9. Huh? I still see "Add to cart" available on: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-1779921 May be they were editing the item to add the one per order limit. Just need to wait 5-7 days to ship, i.e. they have no immediate stock but can get more from distributor. Listed retail price is 1850yen or around US$15 today. Shipping starting from cheapest option at 700yen to US/Canada. 7pm EST: Now it is out of print at CDJ. Damn this thing is popular.
  10. Another step toward YF-21 "This Woman Flew an F-35 Simulator with Her Mind"
  11. Looks like amazon.jp has sold out of their own inventory, but I found it listed on CD japan and order from there. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-1779921
  12. Yes, Yamato gone bankrupt. Arcada is the new company that replaced it, seems to be run by the same people and retained some of old Yamato molds like 1:60 VF-1 v2, but their prices are a lot higher now. Bandai DX renewal - The market went crazy when the first release of YF-29, VF-25F renewal and VF-25S renewal became very hard to find and their market price blow up. They are now scalper's favourite and new release of popular units are being sold out within a minute. Yamato VF-17 vs Bandai VF-171 - avoid the CF-171 (i.e. the teal green one) due to quality problems. Personally I like my 171 a lot more than my 17, but primary because of the colour and shape preference. You can still get VF-17S and VF-19S at a good discount from here: http://www.hkcollectibles.com/10-macross-robotech-1-60?orderby=quantity&orderway=desc Alto VF-171EX is hard to get at normal price. Consider the new one coming out instead: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42136 YF-19 - The Arcada YF-19 is the 4th version of 19 from Yamato/Arcadia - 1:72 YF-19, 1:60 YF-19, 1:60 VF-19, then the Arcadia. Unless you can find a good deal on the old one or really like the fold drive I would prefer the new one. But there is a new Bandai DX VF-19 coming out in May that has a lower list price and may be a better choice, but it's another scalper's favourite too.
  13. That VF-1J already made the review and didn't made it to product. Given the fraked up situation with Macross international license I doubt even the most powerful brand of the world can make it work. https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/1-blog/post/11
  14. http://www.figures.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=20412 To be sold from Toynami under their Altimites line. Anyone know the price?
  15. Toynami at New York Toy Fair 2015 http://www.figures.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=20412 $70 is a bit too much for the GBP set?
  16. On topic huh? Bandai don't make the VF-19 mold to only sell one model. An Ozma VF-19 with or without fast pack would be nice.
  17. Quoting this again. Some of those ebay price are not crazy and should be good for backup. NY's next round will probably have similar price to those. Or just wait and see. It can end up like RVF-25/YF-25/VF-30/VF-27super - readily available on the release month.
  18. Missed HLJ, went with CDJ. Still nothing on Hobby Search, Anime Export or NY. Their staff may already leave work?

    What version is this?

That is the 1:48 Low Visibility put into the wrong box: http://anymoon.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/148-Low-Vis-2.jpg http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10031720 It was a "limited edition" but was available as a general release. It is currently rather hard to find, but they don't seems to go up to crazy price on ebay in recent months, e.g.: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Macross-1-48-VF-1A-Low-Visibility-Color-Limited-Edition-Ver-1-Robotech-/331365520059
  20. Official Hasegawa blog with clear pictures: http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/hblog/?p=1884
