  1. Well, to be fair, I think that is the only instance in Frontier where Ranka "shows of skin" - and to my eye, she isn't showing off skin, she's showing off curves Pete
  2. As usual, Cent, you (like other people often do) manage to make my point for me in one sentence... whereas I need about a paragraph - and it still comes out incoherent But that really was basically my point. The DX is priced like an up-market collectible but made like it was supposed to compete with Megazords for the attention of little kids... yet somehow at the same time pretend to appeal to "collectors" (because ooo ...it's "1:60 scaled" and ...ooo...it is more precise than a megazord"...or something....) I'm probably being unfair to the DX - but I was expecting more - although - I am happy we got the models. Can't wait to get mine Pete
  3. Hm. I guess. But for the longest time, "Cyclonus" made me think of Motormaster- because Motormaster had a cyclone rifle, and in fact all of the stunticons had Psi based weapons, which I thought was so cool. Cyclonus on the other hand had nothing to do with wind or psi based weapons - yet he got that name. No wonder Daniel called him "Cyclownus" once... Pete

    1/48 GBP-1S Set

I expect the 1/60 GBP V.2 to beat it. How? 1. Tampo Printing 2. Weathering (would be nice) 3. Better and more stable attachment so that it can allow for smoother posing We'll see Pete
  5. But the children and their parents WILL buy a 100 dollar toy that is ugly, fat, has crooked lasers, can't stand properly in Gerwalk mode, has a pilot that looks like a booger hanging from a two year old's nose, doesn't have poseable fingers, can't store its' shield anywhere, need an erection to be attached to its' back in order to hold its' gunpod in gerwalk mode (thereby making it also look ridiculous from behind) and has metal screws with the durability of toothpicks? I never understood that logic. However - I suppose you're right. Supreme Movie Transformers Bumblebee was equally retarded - yet parents paid for it and kids loved it - even though it cost obscene money for the low quality it had. Same with BM Supreme Cheetor. By "obscene money" I mean comparatively speaking - when you could get something far more beautiful, with better details, quality etc etc for pretty much the equivalent. But that's just me... Pete
  6. The USA of course. They're vets who become mercenaries and fight the real enemy - namely the government that sent them into a jinned up excuse for a war and also fight to protect people in America from bad guys in local settings - and they usually manage to pull it off without killing anybody, instead using good old fashioned American ingenuity and whit. If done right, this movie would be AWESOME. I am a BIG A-Team fan because I think the basic premise of the movie was sound - it was like a classic American western with vigilantee pioneers always doing what was right. Although - of course - nothing can top The Man who Shot Liberty Valance with the dynamic duo of JOHN WAYNE and JIMMY STEWART. If you haven't seen it - you're missin' out dude Meanwhile; hope the A-Team gets made. I would see it and buy it and chear it on. Pete

    1/48 GBP-1S Set

Yeah - I have the original DYRL? Armor too. Although, I think the Woodland color GBP is GREAT and my Woodland 1A is naked without it... Pete
  8. YEAH! And you smell like poo poo! But we still love you, especially me, since you and I share a love for Katsudon Pete
  9. You know - I usually can't stand remakes, and I'm usually scared of them. But and SDF TV remake with the same quality animation as Frontier would be wonderful. Pete
  10. Hm... Well, I only have 1 Super/Strike pack (the Stealth one) in the 1/48 scale - as well as the strike "boosters" from the GBP armor - neither have any trouble going into any of my 4 1/48s... anyways - a picture would help. Pete
  11. Sorry to butt in prior to getting an answer to the Henkei Dinobot question - but I need to come clean with something that's been bothering me for 25 years now, but I always felt that it would make me look stupid to ask...er...so now...at nearly 30...I don't feel...stupid asking it ... ahem - namely: Why doesn't Cyclonus have anything to do with cyclones? Or hurricanes? Or cyclon guns - or was it cyclops - and like...cy means one? but then "clonus" as in "clone" means two? Like Unicron made two of him? What gives with that name? I noticed that the movie characters all have really childish names if you think about it. RC (Race Car). Kup (PicKup truck), Hotrod (a hotrod is a race car like ..er...like Hotrod). Ultra Magnus got the only decent name, but really the just wanted an analogy to "Optimus Prime." Springer - I think they "gave" him his springing ability in the tech-spec after giving him that name. The alternative was to call him? What? Helicar? Anyways - yeah - why Cyclonus? Scourge I can sort of understand - there's lots of sweeps - so their like a "scourge of locusts" - only they're not, because ...they're hunters? I'm confused. Pete
  12. I'm actually also somewhat surprised by how even the Basara detractors are making well concieved arguments rather than just "look at those ass chap pants! (or whatever they were called Pete
  13. Wait - it has vampires in it? My girlfriend recently got into vampire novels and wants to take me to a vampire movie - but she says it's a comedy about vampires who only suck animal blood vs. vampires who suck human blood. Maybe I should take her to see return of the Lolicons - if it's got vampires that is. Do the vampires play a big role in this movie? Pete
  14. As a side note - I have the original first one and the figure is so totally NOT loose. I never saw these reports, and since I bought mine about 5 months ago, it might be that I got a "later production run" with "fixes" - but in any event - no looseness. In fact - The ball joints and swivel joints all hold the poses very well and the arms are ratchet jointed. The head also has a special maneuverability joint because it has to be attached to the rest of the fighter (which is on the back) while moving. In any event - no need to be on the fense about either one. Personally, I prefer the original ones' colors - but apparently it can't transform into that ground based mode... So - just for the extra mode I'd go for the new one if I were you - but the old one is good. Pete
  15. So... can anyone explain to me how to assemble Minmay's stand? Not that she needs it - as she can stand on her own very well, but still - in the event that I ever need it... how do all those pieces go together? What goes where? Pete
  16. Did this movie even come out? Other than this thread I haven't heard anything about it. And I haven't read anything but the thread title either - just noticed it was supposed to come out in 2008. It's now 2009 and I haven't seen this movie anywhere. How could I have missed it? Pete
  17. I think the first film is being released here in Poland now. I had no clue this existed - but suddenly when I saw the sub-heading, that it was hald Rise of the Lolicons (or whatever) then I recalled seeing a Rise of the Lolicons poster in the metro a while back - something about all wars having their beginning - so I gather it was the first thing.. although...it was called Rebellion of the Lolicons - which is like Rise... so maybe it is Rise? Who knows. I don't really know what I'm talking about, but I guess this film isn't as obscure as I thought Mr. Lingerie

    VF Girls

Lucifer looks lovely. Great job If I ever get married, instead of a wedding dress, I'd like the bride to wear that Lucifer costume instead Pete
  19. As for the boosters - it is impossible for me to concieve how they can be loose... Are you sure you're plugging them in all the way? The groove is very very very deep and the die-cast metal latch on the booster which you shove into the groove isn't exactly something that will "come loose." Also - remember that both boosters have to be perfectly and fully inserted into the groove otherwise the Backpack will have undue stress put on it due to excess weight. Any pic of your boosters in the backpack? Pete
  20. Proto-Garland added to list of "must get" ... too bad the list is already way too long Pete
  21. The intakes in fighter mode...meaning the ones at the tip-top of the legs when in battroid? Or the ones literally connected to what becomes the battroid chest? One of my intakes on the battroid chest on my Stealth 1J has a tendency to come out if I rub her the wrong way - it's not broken and it doesn't fall out or anything without reason - but if you apply small pressure to the area then it does. However, because there is no reason for it to be loose, you can super glue it into place. I don't/won/didn't because it really happened only once or twice and it's not a critical failure problem. If you're talking about the intakes on the tip tops of the legs - that's another issue. All of my 1/48s have super tight intakes and no problems on that front. My YF-19 has one intake which likes to jump out and wander around. But then again, I also have crooked gunpod syndrome. My YF-19 was likely one of the very first ones to come off the assembly lines - I got it literally the same week it came out for the first time. I have to get a second one - hopefully its' gun will be big and straight and its' intake cover won't come off. hmm... that just sounds wrong Mr. Lingerie
  22. Just because it crashes on you, does not mean it crashed on "them" - and the order probably went through the first time. This is why I use citibank's mobile phone service, wherein citibank immedaitely sends me a text-message automatically whenever my credit card is charged. Generally, this is mainly so that if it is ever stolen and someone uses it for something - whether to buy luxury goods or a can of coke at a gas station - I immediately get the info on my mobile phone and can block the card. However, it is also a good function for when you purchase something on line and the computer crashes on you. If the purchase went through anyways despite the carsh, you'll get a text message on your mobile phone right away with the amount charged and to whom it was charged. This helps avoid the type of situations you described. Congratulations on now having 2 YF-21s. Just take 'em both and be happy. Pete
  23. I was actually looking into this one. That's a good idea. Didn't think of that. Might be worth checking out. Nothing in Poland is cheap except for prostitutes. Everything else is expensive as hell. The exchange rate isn't good anymore - but even if it were, importing a car from the USA or anywhere else is sort of pointless because of customs taxes, as well as the highest VAT in Europe (or at least one of the highest) which exists here. Thanks for the tips - I think I'll have a look see at that Subaru and the RAV. Mr. Lingerie
