Awesome!! love your custom builds Since you'll be making the FP too, it'd be nice if you can make a proper clamping mechanism were the clamps go into the FP packs.

Soooooo much Macross! Amazing collection. I only have a v1 1/60, Revoltech, SD keychain, 2 unbuilt 1/72 Hasegawa, early release v2 1/60, v2 low viz and waiting for the new Arcadia 1S Roy.

Yep!, from what I understand, something like the VF-19A Raven scheme can be obtain from the VF-X game license because the scheme is particular to the game, but you can't make, let's say a VF-1S fokker, because the scheme is from SDFM/DYRL and not from the game itself. What Yamato did with the VF-4G was just obtain the license to make a valk featured in a game.

LOL! in the end we're all just poking fun at all this since it's been sorta boring! Damn it Arcadia, why won't you take my money now and start charging, I want my gazillionth VF-1S fokker now!!!
-
Knowing this was made to order, Arcadia should've taken advantage and made a "special" boxart. Three simple Tenjin sketches one in each mode, one sketch randomly placed as boxart so when you buy you don't know what sketch in what mode you're getting and then the crazies would have to buy 3 valks to get the 3 sketches. And then when people start demanding a reissue in the future, release a very limited weathered version with signed Tenjin boxart and sell for a ridiculous price. Arcadia profit. If you do this Arcadia, I want royalties!

Boxart competion, winner gets the valk for free? People are very creative.
-
Well, not that I like the boxart and the whole photoshop thing, but the more complicated the art the more expensive it becomes to mass print. Still, I plain gloss white box with a plain Tenjin sketch with yellow Fokker accent would be a ton better than that.
-
In Plus, Isamu pilots the 3rd YF-19 prototype, I assume the two previews pilots also bit the bucket.
-
I'm a bit underwhelmed, really wanted Tenjin boxart. Still a much needed improvement from the old Yamato design.
-
It's for the YF-19 that had that common problem on early releases, here's the link http://www.shapeways.com/model/840302/19-hinges.html?li=shop-results&materialId=6 Now it won't be locked in fighter, I also recommend that arm bicep cover. http://www.shapeways.com/model/1013242/19-bicep.html?li=shop-results&materialId=6 I have both and it gave new llife to my old YF-19, plus you also need Maiden Japan's awesome arm weapon for battroid.

what's do they mean by detonator? I bet it's the VF-9
-
nope!! all bundled VF-1 are prone to shoulder breaks.

Why are the prototypes made into black plastic anyway? Is it like car prototypes that add funky scheme and tape to prevent people seeing the real details?
-
nice!

Same as HWR, when this sort of stuff happens to me I remove all the paint, clean in warm soapy water and scrub, do some light sanding with 400 grit and then alcohol wipe, wait for a day that is not too humid and after priming I leave setting until the next day. But I think you might have a problem with your primer.

so......does MrK comment on how people dislike the LED on the foldildo implies they're working on a new one?
-
I like the LED effect on the old foldildo. I think the point of the pic was to show how the wing for high speed mode works.

MickyG's Yamato VF-1S Unpainted, Unassembled Kit Build
Valkyrie addict replied to mickyg's topic in The Workshop!
I totally get you on having plans but no time, I have 3 project half way done waiting for me to get enough time to finish plus any new ideas that you suddenly come up with and jump at it inmediately. From what I've seen, most aircraft intakes are white, don't know why? maybe it's the way it comes from the factory. Here are some shots of an F-18E, F-14 and F-16. Again, awesomeeee scheme, I'm a fan!
