  1. Interesting... http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-01864
  2. I've never thought that "pivot 90 degrees and make a huge backpack" was any worse than "fold strait down and make a ridged cape that hangs down past it's knees." personally I'm starting to miss plus era giant hip thingies.
  3. he's a cocky kid with blue hair and a lot of attitude, that's basically all the qualification you need to be an elite pilot in Macross.
  4. Yes, that's exactly my point. for what the series on BD is gonna cost I could be getting Delta toys that I'm personally gonna get more long term enjoyment out of, and the money still goes towards the franchise. anyways, May'n is a Walkure fan: https://twitter.com/mayn_tw/status/721703515064639488
  5. I hate it when the post office routs my packages through bronze age Byzantium; takes centuries to get here.
  6. not quite, looks like both arms form the dorsal spine and the ventral spine is just a gun that folds up on an armature. Basically the theme of delta is stuff sticking over the robots head via an arm attached to it's back.
  7. Yeah, $500+ for a whole series is pretty rough no matter how much you like it.
  8. the lack of purple drum is kind of a disappointment, but TW Mixmaster does have a wind up motor to spin his drum and spring fired launchers in his missile hat. as for the head, I hear that a lot where people say they don't like constructors head and Gravity builder did it better, but I feel the oposite way. I Like the Pharaonic mask look to it. I think you really need to think about if you ever actually intend to display any of these combiners uncombined though. I get the impression that the combined form of Gravity builder is more what you're looking for, and while you don't like the individual bots, if you're gonna settle anyways you should settle on the one that's works the best in the main mode of display for you. :edit: Also, just my personal opinion, but having missiles in your fists isn't nearly as cool as launching your entire fist as a missile.
  9. I generally do not approve of nightcore, but this is actually really cute and catchy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2B0OiLSUnE

    VF-11c

Saw this on Fb this morning, Was not expecting to wake up to porn on my timeline, not that I'm complaining.
  11. I want DX Itasha VF-31's
  12. missile boobs
  13. but I wanna be able to put a 31E and 31C side by side and have a picture of Makina and Reina making the W sign. You could even do one to the 31A with that picture of Mirage in her flight suit.
  14. I still like the VF-31, but I'm increasingly disappointed that they don't have giant pictures of their associated idols plastered all over them as part of their paint schemes.
  15. I know it goes against everything that has ever happened in Macross up to this point but could we please NOT have a likeable character die this season? I still haven't gotten over killing off Michael in frontier.
  16. It's 100% exactly the same ladder as on the F-18:
  17. because that crap is expensive, and we're no gonna be sticking it on grunt planes.
  18. That's not really an equal comparison though. The 25mm guns on the 25 only refer to the hip guns, which can be either shell firing or beam based depending on how the craft is outfitted. Those are most analogous to the REB-20/REB-23 beam cannons in the wing roots of the VF-19, which are presumably 20mm or 23mm bore based on the model number. The VF-25's actual gunpod is a 58mm. :edit: That said, the arm guns on the 31 seem (to me anyways) to be more functionally analogous to the hip guns on the VF-19/25 series than the gunpods anyways. The smaller bore internal guns are the main fixed-forward armament for fighter mode, but are secondary to the gunpod (which is presumably more powerful but shorter ranged) in battroid mode. it does seem a little odd that they'd go for a shell firing gun in that position when pretty much every other valk ever has had that equivalent roll filled by some form of beam weapon. :edit:2 BTW, I actually can't find a reference to the bore of the GU-15, so I'm not sure what size round that uses. the 30mm gunpod of the VF-11 is actually unusually small though. the VF-17 uses a 40mm gunpod and the VA-3 is noted as having a 60mm gunpod. :edit:3 honestly the VF-11 has always been kind of an odd craft since it's the only VF that has zero internal offensive weaponry when it's a jet. The only integral weapon is the head laser which has a super limited rearward firing arc in fighter mode. beyond that it's all externally equipped munitions.
  19. I know this is kind of backtracking a lot, but with everyone complaining about breakdance fights and riding valks and how none of this makes sense from a physics standpoint, why has nobody brought up that Frejya can apparently jump like 6 feet strait into the air with absolutely zero effort?
