I've seen 13.76 meters on mahq.net, which matches your chart more or less, but this guy has it at almost 15.5 meters. I have no idea which one would be more accurate, it would really depend on whether the VF-4's battroid mode is taller or shorter than the length of the fighter mode. all really LOL massive
-
the crusader is that big though, I have no idea why it's so massive but it's even bigger than the VA-3.
-
maybe it's just me but the VF-4 looks off in that chart. I think all the others are about right but the VF-4 just seems too huge. how tall is the VF-4 supposed to be?

Now that I've finally started watching Gundam 00, I can't break to mental conection between Michael and this image... (dammit, Tieria has the Gayest character design ever...)

yeah, but I consider loli-incest-bondage yuri a LITTLE bit different from strait ecchi. now replace Mylene with someone who isn't a kid and... RAGE!!!! J/K (it is a bullet though )

The legs on the TV version come strait back, the DYRL version are splayed out oddly, both have gaps but the TV version is much less prominent. As for the arms, the TV version looks a lot better with the arms laid as strait back and as close to the main hull as possible. The DYRL version turns the armd's sideways then has them stick WAY out. Like you could almost fit another ARMD in the gap between the arm and the Hull Like Mechinyun said, the DYRL version look like they just laid the attack mode on its stomach, in cruiser mode the TV SDF-1 actually kind of looks like a SHIP. Anyways, I find the TV version overall much more visually appealing, and while I'll definitely pass on this, if they come out with a 1/2000 TV Macross I'd consider it. I'd actually like to see a TV version with the option to switch between the Daedalus and Prometheus; and the TV version of the ARMD's 1 and 2 (the TV ARMD's were much cooler looking IMO)

The Macross Quarter. DX Chogokin
anime52k8 replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
the yamato SDF-1 cruiser mode is about 2 feet long, the Quarter stands about a foot tall in attack mode. so depending on how long the quarter toy is in cruiser mode, it's going to be between 1/1000 and 1/1500 scale. -
but they're already drawn with alto, isn't that good enough?

I have no idea, I figured out the approximate density and the diameter needed to equal an object of the SDF-1's mass the I went with it landed in sedimentary rock and just plugged in a couple best guess numbers for the angle of entry and velocity. it always said that it should break up on entry, but it ended up having energy equal to between a 4.5 and 105 megaton bomb depending on valocity and angle. (I think lowest was 11km/s with a 30 degree angle, and the highest was 17km/s at a 45 degree angle) :edit: post 1234, lol

I think it's towards the end of episode 11, where she asks Alto to accompany her to Galia IV and she talks about her awesome hopes and dreams.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4
anime52k8 replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
you mean where the head and the backpack meet up? I think the armor should at least camouflage it a bit since it it covers the whole middle part of the backpack. -
I am thoroughly disturbed by you. but your avatar's cool.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.4
anime52k8 replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
as long as the toy's still solid with the armor on. I think the only Frontier TOY I'll be getting as an armored VF-25, probably alto's though. -

what the hell is going on with his face? -
but how likely are we to get even a quarter of the comics half-nakedness in a movie? this movie will suck, although I liked the Witchblade anime... I wouldn't mind seeing them do a Fathom anime too.

What Current Anime Series Are You Watching? v2.0
anime52k8 replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
It's not really that they had deep motivations, it's more that they had semi-believable motivations. trying to shoehorn MacII into the main macross universe strips away any logic that the movie did have. MacII isn't good, but changing it to fit with the rest of the main cannon Just makes it such a worthless throwaway story that it becomes a waist of time to even bother trying to work it in. at that point all you'd get out of it are some mechanical designs that run form mediocre to complete crap -
Is it wrong that the first thing I did after seeing the link was to punch in numbers to simulate the SDF-1's impact?

that video actually makes me want to play a little bit more actually. It's so stupid and yet awsome seeing a A-12 doing those kind of maneuvers. Though I've got to ask, where are those missiles coming from? they just kind of pop out of the back of the plane I wonder if they actually put any thought into how the planes should actually perform at all.

wow... oh god...

the fact that you're a fcking dick.

or you can go out and buy either No. 5 or No. 6 birdshot so you don't have to mutilate perfectly good shotgun shells.

I can actually imagine putting the Yamato SDF-1 in a kids car seat and driving around with it.

because Leon is a loser, don't you remember 'legend of zero'? he needs the dorky Pete Rose haircut for the same reason they stuck him in khaki shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. you can't give guys like him cool hair.

Well, welcome back to the board and welcome to the money pit. First I need to ask, what is F&S? I honestly don't know what store that is. Anyways, with the VF-1's the hiki 1S is the newest out with strike parts. They are coming out with DYRL style Max and Kakizaki 1A's and a Max 1S next month, and you can buy strike parts separate for the new 1/60s so you might want to weight and get one of those. all v.2 1/60's should be free form defects as of the VF-1S hiki though so it's down to which color and head you like really. Personally I have to recommend the YF-21 though, it is absolutely amazing. They're beautiful looking toy and it's free of any major QC concerns, definitely something to get. (personally I got my YF-21 months ago, and I'm waiting for the Max -1S to start getting into the v.2) As for you're son, I wouldn't personally recommended any of Yamato's transforming toys for a kid. they're not nearly as fragile as people claim, but they definitely aren't meant to be manhandled regularly. The DX is a bit better, but it is a 12,000 yen toy. If he wants a transforming toy, I guess it would fit the bill. If you're willing to look at non transforming, the Yamato GN-U figures are nice, they're bigger, more robust, and nicer looking (in my opinion) than the Revoltech's but still fairly small and cheap. Bandai also has the VF100 line, their partsformers but they're cheaper than the DX. The first one is either already out or out within the next couple days. you know, I'd honestly say one of Bandai's Origin of Valkyrie toys would be a good bet. they're still just as indestructible as they were back in the 80's and those were made for little kids.
