  1. Yes, all it's going to do is break and not hold anything at all. The hands on PG gundams are 5 times the size of yamato hands and they still manage to suck at doing anything useful because of all the tiny joints. Having every finger jointed (even at just the first knuckle) will just make them break easier, and if it's just the first knuckle it wont make it any more possible anyways (unless you absolutely need your toys to be able to flip people off.) I say the should stick with the current PT hands but include a dozen or so fixed pose hands in instead. (and I want a left and right version of each hand style)
  2. wow... just... I can't even find words to...
  3. I know, I was so pissed when my VF-11 broke into 10 pieces then burst into flames. /sarcasm
  4. Saying that the joints on the production version will be tighter is a LITTLE bit different from saying fundamental flaws in the actual design and sculpt will be fixed. Just saying
  5. no, that's pretty much how it is in the show. not that it matters, she looks hot and that's all that counts.
  6. the RD Q-Rea isn't even 1/100 scale, it's like 1/120something or other. the Robot Damashii are all tiny. personally I'm not that big on either of them. I like the Yamato Q-Rau for it's for it's size (big and in scale with the yamato's other VF's) and the sculpt is good, but's really lacking in both articulation and extra features considering it's size, price point and the fact it doesn't transform. The Q-Rea is a very nice toy that mamages to do everything the yamato does while being smaller, more possible and cheaper. I'm just not all that in to the small scale figures. Overall I'd say the Q-Rea is a better toy though.
  7. because if it just folded down, the pilot would be dangling by the straps of his seat/ fall out of the mech if they opened the cockpit while under the effects of gravity. the seat doesn't rotate to keep the pilot sitting upright, the whole cockpit does.
  8. [rage] the crosstour looks like poo on a stick and so does the 550i GT-whateveritscalled. station wagons were cool when they were f'cking staction wangons. this bloated boat/car hybrid BS is already getting old. this goes for the X6, the vensa, and any other car that can't decide what the hell it wants to be too. [/rage]
  9. so the movie will be 3 minutes of action fallowed by a single still image for 75 minutes wile Beethoven's 9th symphony plays in it's entirety, then cut to black.
  10. yes, it's dead. Yamato got sick of listening us complain about broken shoulders, so instead of more VF-1's we get basara's clown valk. This is why we can't have nice things...
  11. can we just merge this with the cracked shoulder thread and call it the "Official Yamato FAIL" thread. I mean really, excluding a bunch of repaints that should have been out last year, the only thing we can expect from Yamato are an ugly, Overpriced, lump of cheap vinyl and a homosexual clown valk... well fuck you too Yamato.
  12. I've been downloading it for the last week, shit's huge... (1.35 gigs) and I'd rather be playing something than waiting on the download... once I have it I'll try it though. Also bioshock 2 comes out tomorrow. is anyone else going to be picking it up? I'm really looking forward to trying multiplayer.
  13. I don't know, I don't care. I WANT IT! Boobies... O___O
  14. wow, less than 4 hours after we find out about something and we're already bitching and RAAAGE! about it. golf claps all around MW
  15. you know, other than being really skinny the modified style looks more like the RX-78-2 in the show than the "TV style" does.
  16. all mine are 500x333, 1024x768-ish is a good size too. If you use photobucket, you can post thumbnails that link to full size versions but the thumbnails are tiny. for my pics I use Flickr, which lets you upload large images and view them at different sizes. I just copy the direct link for a medium size image, use an image tag: url goes here[/ img] then use that as the text for a hyperlink to the larger picture: small image's URL[/ img][/ url]
  17. except an AIM-9X of today looks considerably different from the AIM-9B that entered service in 1956 the idea that a missile would be introduced, taken out of service (replaced by the AMM-1) then 50 years latter reserfice looking absolutely identical is a little hard to believe. The missile argument actually makes more sense as a justification for why the Cheyenne II is derived from a 50 year old mech. If the fundamental design works, no need to reinvent the wheel. Just build one incorporating better systems and weapons.
  18. I think we're all missing the most important issue. And that is, will it be able to reverse the orientation of it's wings while doing a nose down flip?
  19. I would say the most violent one was
  20. Oh wow... you funny We'll see 100 foot tall fighting robots long before that ever happens.
  21. I'm pretty sure the first two are part of a steam punk virtual reality thing they're going to have going on.
