Official 1/100 BANDAI VF Hi Metal VF-1J Valkyrie

tiny feet are tiny... Speaking of disgustingly fat people, have you ever seen someone who's got GIGANTIC ankles? Like grotesquely swollen elephant stumps standing on a pare of semi-normal feet? That's what it looks like, except that it's the tiny feet making the legs look fat and not the fat legs making the feet look small. -
How about we do this, I'll PM you my address and you take all your VF-1's and put them in a box and send them to me. You'll no longer be stressed by the toys, I'll have new toys to enjoy, and the toys will have a loving home. everybody wins

Official 1/100 BANDAI VF Hi Metal VF-1J Valkyrie
anime52k8 replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Toys
Sure it is. The Feet are too small and it looks horrible because of it. There, easy as pie. Easy as it's going to be to skip this one. Maybe someday they'll manage to do something in this line that's worth getting. -

well, stuff I liked when I was 14 include: Gundam 0080, 0083 and 8th MST Akira Tekkaman blade (I and II) The Patlabor movies Armitage III (the OVA and both movies) also the orginal GitS movie. (I never really got into the later sequals as much) also blue sub no.6, I f*cking loved that OVA as a kid. don't know which of these you want to show YOUR kids though.

alright, Just went to see Alice this afternoon; in a word... AWESOME! I thoroughy enjoyed this movie more than any other movie I'd had the chance to see in the last year. This movie must be seen if for no other reason than the art direction. the costume, set and character design is absolutely beautiful. I went and saw it locally so I didn't get to see it in 3D, but I'll definitely be going back to check out how the 3D looks. (oddly enough the local single screen theater is getting 3D at the end of the month, I'll have to drop by and ask if they'll still be showing this by then.)

I think it's obvious that the way to deal with such problems is to start lobbing nukes at the first sign of trouble. after all it's the only way to be sure.

The Macross Quarter. DX Chogokin
anime52k8 replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
hey, would anyone here who got a copy of the little concept art book with there quarter be willing to do a high res scan of these pages from it? many thanks and much appreciation in advance. -
I think it may be a bit of both. I just remembered this picture: so the drone may be a bit large, but the X-9 carries a different, smaller missile as well.

out of the three, valk's are the only ones where gerwalk mode doesn't look like crap.

personally I'd like to get the blue one if it comes with the sniper bazooka.

Like Donny Most, this thread rises from the mist once again I've discovered something slightly amusing. While browsing the M3 I noticed that the X-9 ghost doesn't have a length listed. The entry does, however, describe the X-9 as carrying the AIM-225 long-range high-maneuverability missiles and includes lineart depicting how the bay is arranged. Conveniently the AIM-225 is also carried externally by the target drones from Mac+ and those do have approximate length listed. however if you scale the internal bay diagram to the profile view of the X-9, then make the missiles in the diagram match the missiles on the drone fighter, you get this...

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
anime52k8 replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
So I decied to take a trip in the way back machine and skim through the old DX toy threads from before the things where even released and in amongst all the hilarious rage I noticed something truly mind boggling. pre-production sample final product I'm surprised that in the 4 threads since the release of the VF-25, not a single person has commented on the fact that not only does the pilot look like a poorly painted blob, but that it actually unimproved going from pre-production to final toy. seriously Bandai, what the f*ck? I've gotten over almost everything wrong with the DX toys to the point where I can almost consider buying one, but I just can't get over the fact that the pilot looks so absolutely terrible.
