  1. the original ver. Ka kit isn't worth getting. The OVA version and the HD Cage version are both improved versions and both have the new OVA style head (with little vulcan guns), new armor to give the knees a little more articulation (slightly more than 90 degrees instead of slightly less), a waist joint that can actually turn, and it comes with extra fixed V-fin. the HD Cage version comes with the OVA maintenance cage thing from the OVA that acts as a display base and storage space for the weapons; and the armor is a little darker. so if the having this (the display base): is worth $20 to you, go for the MS cage. otherwise get the regular OVA release.
  2. well, more like 1.25~1.5 meters. still that would be fine with me.
  3. ok, so we've got a release date for HG gera Zulu... when is the HG sinanju coming out?
  4. Hajime Katoki did redesigns for both the original and mid-season upgrade versions of every gundam from wing. the Deathscythe ver. Ka: vs the original: I do like the Katoki renditions, but I think I'd rather have kits of the ones from the anime.
  5. ugh... I feel like I ate some bad shrooms just from reading that
  6. damn... well I already primmed mine so it looks like it's getting another round of break fluid... I wonder how many times I can strip these parts before it screws up the plastic...
  7. well, obviously their are better airbrushes out their if your willing to pay several hundreds of dollars for a specialty brush (Iwata custom microns come to mind). But what I meant was consider getting a second brush that's better than the VL to go with your HP-C, instead of keeping the VL around. If your HP-C isn't cutting it for high volume work (which is the only thing I can think of that the VL would be good for), I'd say pick up something like an HP-BC or BCR. The HP-BC is just like the HP-C but with a wider nozzle and it's siphon feed so it can use larger jars. the BCR is from their Revolution series, it's like a stripped down version of the HP-BC so you don't get as many nice features, but it's still going to be much more precise and easier to clean up than the VL.
  8. sorry to derail this thread even further, but I had one last question about testors metalizers. do Metalizers work better going over a Gloss base or a flat base.(i.e. flat black vs gloss black.)
  9. Finally done (again).... except not really. I do think it looks much nicer with the flat clear coat. I think I'm going to go back and redo the gold details (they're starting to chip...
  10. fun. I'm looking forward to wing Zero even more
  11. clearly. Everyone knows there's nothing more aerodynamically efficient than giant robot limbs dangling from the midsection of your jet.
  12. ok, that one was kind of bad. but it does dedicate a fair amount of it's run time to Chara Soon and how batshit insane she is and that's always a plus. in the ways that matter at least. It's not quite fondling yourself while making an almost orgasm face, but...
  13. why would this be under the tamashii limited page, this is a Yamato product that you order through a magazine.
  14. wow, considering how much you love MacII I would have thought you'd be totally into SERIOUS BUSINESS shows about rehashed plots and uninteresting, cookie cutter characters. Seriously though, Gundam is way better than you make it out to be, especially 0079 and Zeta (but not SEED, SEED does suck). ZZ does have a bit of a Mac7 feel, but in a good way. Because Macross 7 is quirky and awesome, and so is ZZ. so if you like Macross 7 (which you should) you'll like ZZ, and You'll LOVE G gundam. and you should watch Wing instead of 00. it's the same show except wing has better mecha designs (better design and animation work in general, actually). also the second half of wing doesn't degenerate into a really, REALLY terrible rehash of zeta.
  15. as someone who has both a VL and an HP-CS, I say sell the VL. once you get the Iwata you'll find there's really nothing the VL does that the HP-C can't do better. The VL with the largest available tip can lay down more paint but that's about it and personally, I find that the HP-C is more than adequate for 90% of the stuff I do, and with the rest of the jobs I can get by with the HP-C well enough that it's not worth busting out the VL and having to deal with the mess and the difficult cleanup. If your not doing a ton of painting or super fin detail work, the HP-C is fine enough on it's own. And if you are doing so much work that the HP-C isn't cutting it on it's own, then it'll probably be worth it to pick up a second better airbrush.
  16. watch all of The Tomino gundam's first (0079, zeta, ZZ, CCA, F91, Victory). I would wait till after you've seen all the main UC stuff before watching any of the side story OVAs. None of them add that much to the overall UC storyline, and they end up introducing a lot of stuff that feels out of place compared to the rest of UC gundam (theirs a LOT of retcon going on in UC side stories). of the side stories 0080 and 8th MS are both quite good and worth checking out; 0083 isn't ok (characters suck, story is weak, but the animation and mecha designs are good so at least it's fun to watch.); MS Igloo is crap. of the AC stuff, watch turn A gundam and G gundam.
  17. wow, that's some serious BS right their.
  18. klan klan yummieness...
  19. from an animation stand point, they're close enough. (I Just watched Z and I'm watching ZZ right now, animation quality is about the same.) Yeah, that's a really good example of quality 80's animation, what with most of that footage being new animation from the Zeta movies that came out in 2005/2006.
  20. I'm not sure but I think the extra vents are paint apps and not molded detail.
  21. aww, why you gotta hate on Char, all he want is for us to go to space and become newtypes
  22. that's actually pretty cool, too bad I've got other things to save up for.
  23. Well that was random. If I wasn't so apathetic right now I'd actually bother to wiki some of this and figure out what the hell your talking about...
  24. more like $200 for an unassembled and unpainted conversion kit, plus the extra tomahawk you'll need to steal the legs and pilot from.
