  1. The ship feels like a starfleet take on the Klingon K'tinga battlecruiser as the music seems to be pointing too. And if the ship is supposed be a battlecruiser, then I think naming it Discovery seems inappropriate. And once again the mighty Galaxy class still stands the test of time and remains the best starship design ever for me. This design has no chance of being a favourite.
  2. Markedly better that the western version. Negatives for me would be - the feet ... maybe just transformed incorrectly? - the still hollow upper tighs - and the lack of a waist joint But honestly why dip into Titans/Legends version in the first place? Save the money and just wait for the proper MP version to come, it has practically been set in stone since that poll Takara did a while ago.
  3. Good news for Trek fans outside of USA and Canada, Netflix has acquired international licensing for the new show. Each episode will be available a day after premier in the states! Additionally TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT will be added to the library end of 2016. Source -> Netflix
  4. Only watched the first episode so far and definitely enjoyed it. And that 80's synth wave soundtrack, love it. Arrgghh... so little time to binge watch the rest. All that is missing for a great viewing experience now is takeaway hamburgers packed in styrofoam
  5. I was going to do a screenshot from Netflix, but that seems to be blocked nowadays. Anyway Millia can be seen in Ep. 1 just after Lance and Co. failed their simulation and the instructor starts giving them a mouthing (group of cadets). Roy can be seen twice in Ep. 1, just after the Millia scene there will be a frontal shot of the instructor and slighly left you can see him standing in the distance from an elevated position. Second time you seem him is when Lance and Hunk are sneaking out (can't really miss this one).
  6. Prime timeline sounds good, anthology I can live with. Some interesting season long stories could be events leading up to the Narendra III attack with the Enterprise-C. Or maybe someone getting trapped in one of those vicious parallel universes (not JJ like) and he/her having to manoeuvre themselves without getting discovered, dealing with difficult choices going against their ethics and morale. But Ultimately I do wish they advance the timeline after the events of Nemesis, maybe even another 100 year jump or something. Do we know who is handling the designs, is Andrew Probert free? Please not the guy that is in charge for the JJ-Universe.
  7. I wish Bandai would re-release the Ozma variant already.
  8. Is there anyone willing, capable and having time to maybe design side covers and neck cover for Hi-Metal R VF-1s? The gappy-ness and that floating head crest annoy me in Battroid mode, otherwise I think these things are great.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Finally some images of the -31 head designs. But wow, Kawamori must have already had a love-hate relationship with his lead character since inception, when he is assigning the uglier head design to Hayate. My ranking for the moment would be F > S > C, the rest is meh.
  10. With Iron Man in the mix I hope this is not foreboding that Spider-Man ends up with that red and gold talon suit.
  11. Nobody interested in the other two P-Bandai releases? First is the OVA/TV version of the Geara Doga Second is the Zeta Plus A1, heavy reuse of the Master Grade C1 I would say. Prominently missing of course is the Beam Smart Gun and the propellant tanks on the the Wing Binders. But I do like the red eyes (instead of blue on C1) and and the alternate white sensor dome.
  12. So with two different types of trailers being released, does that mean there will be two versions of this movie hitting the cinemas at the same time? Has something like that ever been done before?
  13. The only thing I would like to know is if CW/UW Devastator has killed any notion of there being a proper MP version from Takara - I hope not.
  14. Well I watched Gundam Thunderbolt too and like what I have seen so far. If I am not mistaken the episode was shorter than the regular 20 minutes, and considering that I think they did a good job with providing the gist of the story and the main characters. The Jazz music doesn't do anything for me - it is OK and not out of place, but I think I will always prefer orchestral soundtrack. So overall I am satisfied for the moment, only thing I am pondering is which side one is to be actually rooting for.
  15. Anubis some very nice modelling there, fantastic job! How do you go about doing the "used" edges on the kit? I am currently doing the same MG kit myself, so your Hi-Nu Gundam has just become a challenge for me to do good on mine and meet yours.
  16. Why are we poking in the air? The SW-XA1 is basically the updated version of the VF-1 and a more natural successor to the VF-0.

    Hi-Metal R

None, other that they share the same scale.
  18. Nice model kit and they didn't skimp on cockpit and pilot figure too. This would sit nicely with the R3 1/48 Layzner.
  19. From those planned RE/100 kits I am annoyed that they are considering the Xi Gundam. That should only be 26 cm of plastic MG Ver.Ka greatness. I hope they do not follow through with it in this line. And why on earth is the Jegan on that list? They make the Jesta a MG and the Jegan is not worth it? Ah, the "Wings of Light" effect parts, forgot that they could P-Bandai on that too. As for Assault and Buster packs, I think it will probably depend on how this base version does on the market. Hot item => retail release of MG Assault Buster V2 Gundam Not so hot => individual P-Bandai add-on packs
  20. I have the same mixed feelings about Hot Rod. Pros: - slick legs and feet, looks more screen accurate to me - better arms and hands (!) - no awkward shoulder joints - much nicer head Cons: - pelvis flap carried over from MP-09 - spoiler sitting way to far away from the main robot body, again carried over from MP-09 - the "belly-bonnet", IMO that should be flush with the waist Regarding the release annoucement in general, the real Autobot couterpart to go with Shockwave should have been PERCEPTOR!! Would have been so matching, the two science officers from each side.
  21. Funny you say this, but I thought Porsche did good with this concept, the boring oval headlights are gone and thin light strip at the back looks neat. But being a concept, you know it's never going to end up like that and we will probably be back to the usual stuff.
