  1. Some of your answers can be found here: Click here 1/48= Fast pack 1/60= None that I know of or experienced. 1/55 = Toynami = Non, just need little better QC 1/55 = None, I drop on off of high rise building and it still lasted (J/K)
  2. The VF-1J was the first reisssued by Bandai. it did not include the cover. Subsequent reissues were included with covers. I am guessing that Bandai did not see the use for the cover initially. :lol
  3. This is one of the main reason that makes this site fantastic..... (Various customs by talented members) Thanks,
  4. I hope that we can at least slow down the process of yellowing or eliminate it based on the feedbacks from other knowledable members. Thanks,
  5. Thanks Neova I forgot to ask one more question. Does it harm the paint or other material on the valks??? I have no idea on this type of things. Thanks,
  6. Pardon me for being lazy and ignorant for not reading other Transformer postings. One question is, are the Hasbro prime made of plastic or Metal. Based on the photos it appears that the chest parts are made of metal. Thanks,
  7. Does the anti-UV "Stuff" prevent Valks from turning yellow? If so how effective are they? Can you guys offer some name brands and names of those stuffs? I would like to give a try on those products. Thanks for any info in advance....
  8. Does anyone know how big (scale wise) those figures are, especially the Monster. It would be cool if it was around 1/300 at least.
  9. Sometimes you can search by key word "Jin-Roh" or "Jin ROh" There is two types of Dragon Kerberos figures. One is Japanese limited version, which is what you see on EBay for $100 or more and normal version Usually $70 to 90. The only diffrence is light up eye (Visor) on Japanese version. You can tell the diffrence based on the box. Smaller box is the japanese version: Here is the two ebay auction that ended recently: Japanese version Normal version For Sebastian: There was a thread posted on MW (old forum) regarding this figure last year. One member posted a store in the US that selles loads of Dragon figures and they had Kerberos for sale @ $64 or something like that. Maybe you can find that thread somehow.
  10. If you can ask more politely I may be able to post the photos tonight. Then again my camera is only a 2mg and I do not know if it will clearly show the yellowing.
  11. That is amazing. I know that bookend is great looking and all. But $600!!!! Hmmm.....
  12. I think most other countries have less harsh oversight by the Govt. (Correct me if I am wrong). For example, if a little kid (7-10) decide to poke his eye out with sharp object (Sword, spear) that was included with a toy. In the State, you have the parent suing the manufacturer and govt. for not doing enough of warning about potential hazard. Hence, Govt. gets a hit with liability. The parent becomes rich, end of that. Where as, in other countries, if the parent was not responsible enough to supervise the kid, the parent has to explain to the child, why he was hart. I am making this short as possible; I am not trying to make joke out of this scenario in any way. When a little kid looses sight or even become traumatize by the incident, it really gets me. Another reason is that most countries think toys are toys (Unless it is specifically intended for adults). Meaning, toys should be available to anyone that is capable of handling it. (I think 7 or above is in that category)
  13. Great Now I need to spend several thousand $$ to place awning for the windows. No wonder my G/F complains about "Where is my ring that you promised". She should indirectly know that her potential ring funds are helping my Macross collections stay safe from the environment.
  14. Today, I decided to take one of my valks out of the display case and transform it. I took one of my YAMATO VF-1A Hikaru 1/60 out of the display case and placed it on a coffee table, where a florescent light is hanging over. Surprisingly, what I notice was a yellowing around the area of the shoulder and arms (Where majority of the plastic is concentrated). First of all, this is by no means to alarm 1/60 collector into panic. Secondly, I do not remember if I bought this valk used (It might be that the previous owner had unusually greasy and/or sweaty hands) and never really noticed it, until now. Thirdly, My house is situated right in the hart of the San Fernando Valley, near California. Meaning, the sun is extreme through out the day and I usually leave the louvers (Shades) opened. I would like to know if any other 1/60 or for that matter, 1/48 Yamato collectors notice this problem. This only pertains to YAMATO. I think we all know about Bandai and Takatoku, etc…..
  15. I started to post here around October of last year (I could not post for personal reason before). I been lurking around and buying, selling and trading via PM, since around April of 2001.....

    1/48 VF-1J Custom

That sure is beautiful custom job. Thanks for sharing....
  18. I guess debates and bassings are still going on
  19. I think a lot of members will still agreed with you on that 1/60 Yamato still great. Because most topics these days are related to 1/48, newer collectors belive that 1/48 is the Macross toy. However, I prefer my 1/60 over my 1/48, unless Yamato added diecast to the same area as 1/60. Wishful thinking.
  20. 17D, it is rare. You sometimes find it on Ebay and it goes for around $55-80. I have set of old Bandai Macross7 and I got it for around $230.
  21. CID

    Which 1/48 first...?

Like it was posted earlier. The choice of the valk all depends on your preferences. The "Hot" item right now is "Low Viz". But, I prefer VF-1A Max or VF-1A Hikaru.
  22. Alot of the Yamato VF-11B had faulty construction/defect around the leg joints. Anyways, this caused many of the customers to return the items. Since, the store can not return the item back to Yamato or distributor, they had to eat the loss. That cause the change in their retrun policy.
  23. gundamstoreandmore is good store. They have very strict policy on returns. This was due to VF0-11B being return for Yamato's faluty leg joints. As for the bootleg items. It is rare to find nicely made valks that are boots. Although, there are few boots floting around Ebay and others, you can easily tell them apart from legit. When in doubt, post it on this forum and someone will have time and answer to your questions.

  25. Another unfortunate incident hits fellow MW members. Although, I am not a victim in this incident, it gets to me when I view this types of threads so often this days. Although, Tanmen is right about being outside of US enforcements jurisdictions (Techinically his is not, but......), there are many other avenues to get his attention, including, but not limited to the following: 1. In a letter or email from Tanmen, he stated that he currently or planning to work for Konami. .....As there was beyond good reputation about "1/144 the self-defence force series" of KONAMI, KONAMI tries to get an original model malker of "Thunder Bird Series" back to "1/144 The Self- Defence Force Series". I have some problems about that. Because I was asked to be an original model maker of KONAMI production..... It might be a good idea to contact his potential employer and let them know what had happen. konami is one of the company that are exporting their products to US and they surely will not want to tarnish their reputation by associating with unethical person, in this case, Tanmen. Even better, Tanmen is publicly stating his intention to affiliate himself with Bandai (We all know Bandai's market shares worldwide). It might be worth it to write simultaneous letters, including supporting documents, to Konami and Bandai. ....I'm ready to come back for BANDAI original model maker so that I can leave KONAMI whenever I want.... Althoguh, this might not be the best avenue to take, however, it can result in successful result. Sometimes these types of information can be leak to news media and get a shocking result. However, as stated in this thread or somewhere about, the decision has to be made among the victims in this unfortunate incident. Tanmen reminds me of some of the characters I ran into everyday (Those that think they are above the law and think only of their interest without any regards to consequences."
