  1. After seeing reviews and having expeience with Yammi GBP, I think that the Bandai GBP is far more superior that the Yamato GBP. The Bandai GBP was made nearly 20 years ago and it still fits tightly on Valks and detail is pretty good for even today’s standard. In my opinion, Yamato needs to improve their Quality when releasing new toys. With today’s resources (Computers, better materials, etc.), Yamato should have made the GBP superior than Bandai GBP. It is shame that a company that can make such beautiful looking Macross toys can not correct its oblivious quality problems, before releasing it to the consumers.
  2. Get the one that is right for the type of toy you want to display. As for me I prefer long rod with square base. In addition, Yamato is going to release its own display stands for its Macross series. If I were you (Unless you need to have a stand right now). I would wait few more weeks until, you had the oppertunity to compare Yamato stand with the regular display stnad that you are referring to.
  3. There was this article I found on one of the site I rarely visit. It talks about some of the Japanese stores in Japan, etc. Click here
  4. I don't think that's a 1/60 custom. It has the tow hook and a line across the front hip joint placement. It's most likely a 1:48 custom even though it's on the 1:60 page. EXO, can you let me know what is the name of that magazine you have it posted on this thread?
  5. Here are some photos of VT-1, VE-1 and Max with GBP
  6. I think that its going to look goofy, but, I will post some photos later this evening, unless someone does it before me.
  7. Yes, the original TAKA GBP.... I think GBP will make any Bandai Valks look 10000% better I acquire several sets during last few years, I have them on each VF-1J, S, As'. It really makes them look as if they were ready to kick some zentradis' (Might be wrong spelling) Axx. Thanks for sharing......
  8. If I were you, I would save the money on other Minmay dolls or figures. That Matchbox, even for that time, was poorly made and represent nothing more than barbie look a like. However, I know some people want to complete their Matcbox robotech line........... For example me I pass those dolls.

    TOMY

No, I was just saying why cant other companies make one that is 9" tall or larger.

    TOMY

Thanks for the pics. I guess, I am going to give in and get several sets. Why can some other companies make Monsters that are nice looking and around 9 inches or so long......

    TOMY

For those that had or have the TOMY kit. What is the size of Monster (Length and height)? Is it nice for display piece? Thanks in advance.
  12. I am going there before all of you and buy it all for my self J/K Good luck in finding the Mospeada alpha(s) and cyclone(s). The item looked really great and new based on the photo.....
  13. That was interesting and nicelydone. Who ever made it, good work!!!

    1/55 FP

The good price will be free. However, if you had to buy one it would be based on the MKT rate of VF-1S - VF-1S super (Both reissues). I would say around $30 to 35 + shipping. Plus minus $2
  15. I do not think its a bootlegg at all. Everythinbg looks legit. The seller probably did not know the mkt value of the item he was selling and the meber was there at the right time. Secondly, why would some one or a company make a bootlegg with a such exceptional quality (Based on the photo). If he or she had that much of a talent to make Gakken alpha boot, that person would more than likely use that talent on some other collectables that are far more profitable, before making boot or Gakken alphas or cyclone. The last possibility is that it could have been the one and only AARAFAT, the one and only MW member (I should say former member) that has tree that grows macross and robotech items, espicially Bandai GBP armors, in his back yard. He might just have visited the PMX to share his wealth with other collectors. (Gosh, I wish I had some time to put some fear into that iditos soul).
  16. Very nice work, thanks for sharing.....
  17. WHere did you get those uniforms those lego figures are wearing. Are they painted by you or did Lego make those uniform for some other set?

    1/60 Gbp

Thank you for the great review; especially during the time you are busy with your family and with a soon to be a family member. As always, your review is detail and informative, without any bias. Although, Yammi’s QC has been declining with newer releases (My own opinion), I will still get several for my 1/60s (Yammi is the only game in town). I was hoping that Yammi put great deal of effort into their projects this time around and not just rushing products out the doors with obvious flaws.
  19. Does anyone know how big or what scale this item will be?
  20. Pat, did you get the book?
