  1. Complete: Mechanic: 7 UN 06B: VF-11C Thunderbolt: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M7 - gotta love those rear firing micro-missile launchers.
  2. Next issue (31). Apparently stickers are included for binders No. 4 & 5, and two sets of tiny label stickers for Mechanic and Episode. http://deagostini.jp/mcr/backnumber.php?id=38485&issue=31
  3. ER/RM++ Project: Character: M Zentraadi 06A Kamujin Kuravushera: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRcharacter/MCRcharacter.php#SDFM - the extra reports were informative; one of them even has a bombshell. Character: Ai 00A "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross Do You Remember Love?" Character Interrelation Chart/Triangle Timeline: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRcharacter/MCRcharacter.php#DYRL - probably the most interesting is on Minmei's fate. "Various varied opinions" just rolls off the tongue, eh? Timeline 24A: Kamujin's Insurrection (M): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtimeline/MCRtimeline.php - currently, I'm fascinated by the hints on how the New Unified Government tried to attain coexistence with the Zentraadi. This sheet's RMs provide a bit more hints on that. Alas, just as it starts getting good... it ends. History M 08A: Lynn Minmei's Debut: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRhistory/MCRhistory.php#SDFM - I found the RM on her relationships interesting. On the one hand, it rounds out the in-universe world a bit more, on the other hand, it brings back nostalgia about the idol phenomena. Technology 14A: Grand Cannon: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtechnology/MCRtechnology.php - quite interesting. Would like the time to finish a few more spots on it (though, aside from the mention of a built-in railroad, nothing jumped out when skim reading). If one wants to know how the cannon actually works, I believe the Tech sheet on Dimension Weapons provides the pseudo-scientific explanation on the guns technical workings. Oh, the RM also provides the "official" (in universe) name for the main guns on the SDF-1 et al. Neat.
  4. You guys do know that its the middle of summer holidays here, right? And that summer holidays are more or less a single week that everyone gets at the same time, and pretty much everyone travels somewhere, right? That said: Brad Pitt is a big draw, and summer is the time everyone goes to see scary movies. Let's not forget that Japan was the origin of the Biohazard (Resident Evil) zombie series, and that anime is all moe...
  5. Complete: Mechanic: Zero AUA 02A: Oktosu: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M0 - no changes between the 2 versions. Translation tweaked. Mechanic: D7 01B: VF-5000 Star Mirage: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#MD7 - there's one section changed in the revised edition. Otherwise, translation has been tweaked.
  6. Complete: Gallery 7: Macross 7 #30: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRgallery/MCRgallery.php#M7 ER/RM++ Project: Episode: 7 18A: Macross 7 Eps. 18 "The Fallen Devil": http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRepisode/MCRepisode.php#M7 - although I found the extra reports a bit lacklustre, the commentary was a good reminder of the directorial vision of the series.
  7. Complete: Goods 05: Drama CD: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRgoods/MCRgoods.php#05CG - I was hoping for a bit more depth than what we got. Nevertheless, it's a decent overview of the content.
  8. Sounds good. With my RPG stats, I attempted to keep them balanced with the other stats (which is where the missile payload numbers come from). The VF-22 stats are especially in need of an update, but in their present state, they are not game breaking in comparison to the other stats (though as 1 GM to another, limiting the load-out (ie no hard-point munitions) improves their balance). Anyhow, for an idea of what direction I was planning to take the stats (and some ideas for the non-game stat functions of the VF-22), take a look at my VF-1 stats: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/VF-1/VF-1.php Specifically the Defensive Systems, Wing Hardpoint optional munitions, Avonics, and Other Systems. Keep in mind: Green is official, Blue is extended (semi-offical), and black is best guess.
  9. With the materials I've read/translated, it hasn't been established one way or the other.
  10. Won't work, as the top and bottom (front and back in Fighter) separate to become the waist joint (lower torso and hips) and the upper part (front in Fighter) opens so that the nose can slot into it when transforming to Battroid.
  11. ER/RM++ Project: Mechanic: TF ETC 05A: Queen Frontier: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#TMF - overall I'm left disappointed with this one. On the one hand, the structure of the nest is interesting. On the other hand - not another ship/nest/base/fortress based off of the DYRL version of Bodoruza's Fortress that somehow the Bororuza Fortress is based off of.
  12. Here's the stats for it that I've been able to distill from other sources: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/ShipsUG-Carrier/ARMD-L.php (green is official, the rest is best guess)
  13. The 3rd pallet bay comes from the Macross Compendium. I have no idea what the source is for that information. http://macross.anime.net/mecha/united_nations/variable/vf22/index.html From what I understand, the gun pods are stowed in separate internal spaced, dedicated to the gun pods. Those other 3 are different. The image Valhary provided shows the large reaction missiles being launched from the positions where the gun pods are normally stowed. So, my current view is: all internal weapon bays or on the bottom. The smaller B-7 pallets are immediately in front of the larger gun pod or B-11A pallets. Where does that other B-7 sized pallet fit in (if it exists at all) - I always felt it was either in the nose or the rear of the craft between the two engine nacelles.
  14. I have only the VF-27, and 2 (two!) parts were broken before I had even finished assembling it! One of the shoulder joints (so, missing 1 arm in Fighter & GERWALK) and one of the alternate colour pieces on the gun pod - which is supposed to be removable as one has to remove it to open the gun up (it broke during the first test fitting). Later, one of the back joint broke while transforming. Suffice to say it remains in Fighter form. Same problem with the VF-27. Its a challenge to do it with the VF-27, but they must have fixed the problem by the time they got around to the VF-27. The VF-27 uses the same arrangement as how the GU-11 is attached to the VF-1. I've also built the Bandai VF-2SS and VF-19 Kai. Both also had stuff break during assembly (I think 1 piece apiece). On breakage factor alone, this VF-1 kit trumps all those.
  15. Agreed. It's not sci-fi, but science fiction (in the sense of telling a story set in the future about the implications of something because telling it in the present or past would make too many people upset about it). But yeah, lots of social commentary. That's not the *actual* social commentary.
  16. If memory serves, the ARMD-L has a two-level hangar deck arrangement, and a maximum of 80 craft. I think a better question to ask is what is a standard load? 50 to 80% of that maximum? And of those, how many are always prepped, how many are in maintenance/ready to be prepped, and how many are stowed away?
  17. This is what I and a few others came up with quite a few years ago regarding those internal weapon bays. It's designed for the Palladium system, but the number of missiles/bombs should be readily convertible. http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/Avionics/VFPallet.php
  18. Where was it ever advertised as Gunpla? I ask this, ESPECIALLY because Gunpla = ガンプラ = ガンダム プラモ (Gundam Plastic Model). Last I checked, Macross is NOT Gundam. Thus, there is NO WAY it could be ガンプラ. So what? Just because a plastic model CAN transform, doesn't mean it is designed as a toy.
  19. ER/RM++ Project: Worldguide 14C: Planet Eden: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRworldguide/MCRworldguide.php - a full translation might garner some goodies, but as it is - I'm a bit disappointed that the ER didn't elaborate on non-AVF development projects.
  20. Macross City could be anywhere on Earth. I'm being sincere. With the destruction of the land-masses, the near complete extermination of life, and the changes to the weather - let alone the boiling off of some or most of the oceans and the ensuing changes that come with the disruption of the sea currents - it could be anywhere, and all bets are off when it comes to comparing it to existent weather patterns on Earth.
  21. It is a model kit. Not a toy. I really don't understand why there are some people in these forums who think otherwise, and are disappointed when they "discover" its a plastic model (as advertised).
  22. ER/RM++ Project: History M 07A: First Contact: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRhistory/MCRhistory.php#SDFM - some interesting things, but I feel that most of the info has been covered on other sheets. Timeline 23A: The Race That Was Born To Fight (M): http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Trans/MCRtimeline/MCRtimeline.php - fairly routine, though the line on the original that they changed is eyebrow raising.
