  1. Ah. Thought so. But cyborg implants does not make a cyborg, does it.
  2. I don't remember it being mentioned that "most of the population are cyborgs". Where does that information come from? IMHO, the main reason that the Macross Galaxy Fleet is different, is so that it is visually different from the Macross Frontier fleet, so that the average viewer doesn't get confused. It's the same reason why we don't see Zentraadi ships in a Super Long Range Emigration Fleet. They're the enemy ship, and portraying them as otherwise will add confusion.
  3. In Japan. Otherwise, you're stuck with the mark-up that ALL imports from one country to another face. You may find that a reseller is offering recently released goods for less than the cost of a bookstore or other importer in your area of residence.
  4. And RPG stats: http://www.macrossroleplay.org/Sketchley/S...00E/F-3000E.htm Can't be bothered to dig up the page numbers, but it's in one of the earlier collections.

    Macross on PS3?

Because there's a larger PSP market? It's cheaper to make games for the relatively low-resolution of the PSP? It's the game manufacturer's forte?
  6. Buy it?
  7. Got side tracked from the next project by an interest in the Air Combat Pod. Finished: Mechanic: SDFM Zent 09b Zentraadi Forces' Pods http://www.macrossroleplay.org/forums/inde...g37921#msg37921 Details are few and far between, but there's a couple of decent nuggets of info. Probably what's most surprising is the anti-aircraft and ground gun turrets on the Large Landing Pod!
  8. Not a license per se, it's his military ID. Pg 92 (English on form) "UN Spacy Volunteer Soldier", and pg 93 (Japanese text) "I enlisted". I think what's more interesting is that just before he enlists, he tries to give Misa a bouquet of flowers! As Gubaba said, it's definitely different from both SDFM and DYRL. Personally, I think it's much cooler than both, but that's just me.
  9. Not sure, but it's definitely too Gundamesque for my tastes, and not Macross enough. Anyhow, it's titled something along the lines of, "(tentatively named) Banzai Attacker: Klan Klan's special attack specification power-suit composed of VF parts" PS: You forgot the 4 VF-11B dorsal Super Parts and VF-25 body and wings.
  10. You mean Macross Chronicle? Or the article in the Macross Ace magazine? The former refers to it as Ghost X-9, and in the later, I only see "Super Bird" and "Ghost". Kazutaka Miyatake Design Works Macross & Orguss pg 43 to 46 is titled "Ghost Series", with the M+ roughs titled "Advanced Ghost", the M+ version as "Ghostbird X-9" (or Ghost Bird X-9), and the M0 as "the first/original Ghost". On the last page, it has "Super Bird", which wasn't in Macross, but is described as something that he designed in the '78 to '80 period, and is clearly what the SDFM Ghost is based off of. Therefore, I'm tempted to say that the designer's pet name for it is "Ghost Bird X-9", but the common name is "Ghost X-9".
  11. :!: I just checked for that a few days ago. <Internetfu> Ah, it was JUST released today (JST). That's odd that it's being offered overseas at the same time...
  12. No. I was referring to his misunderstanding that the entire rest of the world is pacifist and communist, when it's not.
  13. I *love* it when people make gross errors like this. The brotherhood of non-metric using nations are Burma (Myanmar), Liberia and the United States of America. Ask yourself if that group of 'real men' is a healthy group to be part of.
  14. I get: Variable Fighter & the Variable Craft group of mission specialized specification. Could it also be about the Variable Patrol craft in M7? Anyhow, the MF site's news has an image of the VF-5000 sheet: it's transformation.
  15. Interested. Another one?!?! I thought it was all covered! B sheet. Called it in preceeding post. Interested in this, with a capital Very. Drool, drool, drool. Wait. The Nona? Yay!

  17. Not according to some sources: http://www2.gsu.edu/~wwwesl/egw/jones/differences.htm
  18. Who said that it's a good arguement? It's the arguement used in the series to explain the development of the VF-1. From the events of SDFM, we already know that some of the "won" arguements by the UN [united] Government didn't pan out, either. (The Grand Canons for starters). The other thing we have to be careful of is, is viewing the technology in an "after the fact" manner. No one will debate the effectiveness of the developed equipment post SWI. However, pre-SWI, there was little to no evidence of the war making capabilities of the enemy small craft and personnel/infantry. The other angle to look at is that the majority of the equipment fielded by the UN Forces in SDFM were never considered to be the ideal solution. They were the solutions that the limits of humanity's understanding of OTEC allowed the UN Forces to produce at the time. The concurrently (to the VF-1) developed VF-X-2 is a good example. So, too are the VF-X-3 and VF-X-4 that started design and prototyping long before the VF-1 started mass production, let alone had a completed design.
  19. I think someone's changed the title of this topic - completely dropping Macross Chronicle. Can a mod add it to either the main title, or the sub-description? Anyhow, finished the translation of the VF-5000 in TiAS:M+: http://www.macrossroleplay.org/forums/inde...g33504#msg33504 Next project: Macross Chronicle's VF-5000.
  20. There's a magazine or a book on the shelves right now that has a section related to this. It's about the places he went to in preparation for MF. Can't remember the name of it... but it wasn't sealed in plastic by the store to stop tachiyomi... It's in Macross Ace #004.
  21. There is at least one set - in the Macross Hobby Handbook. Not sure if others have made any...
  22. 03.25 21:30~23:00 inaccessible. >.<
  23. There you go reading too much into things, again. It takes place outside of the events of the TV series, yet it is still part of the canon TV series. Period. End of story. The character sheets related to the episode in Macross Chronicle counter any opinions otherwise.
  24. Agreed. All the extra report has implied is that the episode's event takes place outside of the TV series' events. Which isn't really new information...
  25. 03.24 21:00~?? JST MW unaccessable. Currently (03.25 01:41) accessible.
