A shame you don't profit more, for all the work you put into your craft. I for one wouldn't mind you making a little coin on it, hey you deserve it a lot more than companies that manufacture kits. Although I have a confession, the only kit I have by you is the Atmospheric Booster, which I haven't even built yet, I'm using it as incentive to build my backlog first. I know your kits are expensive, but I also know that they're not cheap to make. I'd by them all if I could, but with a wife in school and 2 kids, I have to be really picky. That's why I suggested Battroid stuff, because it seems you could just make conversion kits, rather than full blown kits. It's be a way to make affordable stuff for the masses and pocket something for yourself.

MP Jetfire!! Oh wait we have that already, it's Hikkie's VF-1S with and autobot decal. I still stand by my masterpiece Predacons. 1 every three months, and in 15 months BAM! Instant MP Predaking!!!!!!!!! However, back to reality, you know they're only going to do POPULAR MP characters, and Rodimus Prime would be easy to make, and make well. Binaltech pretty much covered the regular autobots, so I doubt we'll see them. And that's fine, BT's were awesome anyway. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say Soundwave...simply because he's the only truly ICONIC one left to get the MP treatment (not counting cheezy repaints). I'd personally like to see the Predacons because I think they'd be easy, and easy to make the ultimate Gesalt (which Predaking was), or the Insecticons would be cool as well.

I think you should do your own non-canon scheme. I'd love to see a stealth or Arctic monster.

I wasn't addressing necessarily what you said, just in general. I just think it's stupid, because if they could all agree, they could all make a nice profit. They're all greedy bastards as far as I'm concerned, but the funny thing is they're all shooting themselves in the foot over a potential profit that doesn't exsist for any of them at the moment.

Morphine was awesome. I listen to "yes" almost weekly. I've seen a few acts with members who have died. Most notably Alice In Chains, Nirvana (which was to this day the worst concert EVER), Blind Melon, and most tragically Skinny Puppy (lucky they got back together though). The best show I've ever seen though was Pop Will Eat Itself. Damn, I wish they'd come back for a new album.

Furthermore, HG owns the rights to ROBOTECH. That would be SDF:M, Southern Cross, and Mospeada. You can add in the Sentinels and that lame Shadow Chronicles as well. Maybe even Megazone, since they had some sick perverted thing going on with that too. However, why should HG be able to block Macross Zero, Seven and Frontier? Here's how I see it: Macross Zero: Ok, Roy's in it. A prolific character of both RT and SDF:M. But, that's it. Why should HG get ANYTHING from it, when they had nothing, and I mean NOTHING to do with it? No mecha designs, no other characters, NOTHING! What, they should get a chunk of money because a character that they didn't even come up with owns the rights to it in NA? Actually, his last name is even spelled different. So technically, it's like Smith and Smyth. Two different people, arguably. And maybe the mecha is "simular", but not by much. Macross Seven: Ok, it wouldn't be a big hit over here. But the same as the argument for Zero. Max and Millia Jenius vs. Max and Miriya Sterling. So you could really argue this one, except why when the only people that would welcome a US release and English dub would be hardcore fans. Macross Frontier: Now this REALLY, REALLY pisses me off. For the most part, it has NOTHING to do with SDF:M, save for a couple Homages/references. Why can't we have it? I guess here's the way I see it. HG, if they were smart, would unblock the Macross flow for TV/DVD releases, treating RT and SDF as separate universes. Allow it for maybe 15% of the take, maybe 30% if they dub it, translate it, all that jazz. Then, get Toynami to actually make something better than MPC's and 1/100's. Or, cut ties with Toynami, pick up Yamato or share with Bandai, and go from there. Best case scenario: Bandai sees the potential in Macross, especially with Gundam basically dead in NA, and buys HG (which they could afford, I'm sure), and disintegrates the company and RT is no more. Then, Carl Macek and Tommy Yune are dropped off naked on an obscure island populated by cannibals covered in steaksauce, with the bottles shoved up their...well you get the point. I mean, how much could HG be worth anyway? Not THAT much I'm sure. On another note, how did Macross Plus and 2 ever get slipped into a US release?

Lucky...I always wanted one of those kits.

I'd like them to reissue the F-14 and VF-0A soon, I missed out on those and could only get the 0S and Ghost 0S/0A.

Man, this this has gotta stop. You're associating Asimov and the Terminator with a f**kdoll. So basically, you're hypothisizing that pissed off women robots are gonna revolt and kill us all because they didn't get the big O? Women have been doing without the big O for THOUSANDS of years from us, and they haven't killed us YET. I stress yet, because if I happen to accidently leave this thread open and my wife reads what I've written, I'm so f**king dead...

Eww...gross. The original schemes look way better.

You know what the sad part of all this is? with 8088 members currently on here, if everyone threw 10 bucks in a pot, we'd have over 80,000 US to retain a lawyer and fight HG, unless there's a lawyer on here. That might do some damage.

That's funny,. I just bought the Megabloks RX-78-2 Gundam for 25 bucks on ebay (my steal of the year), and built it. I was really amazed by the articulation, quality, and the stand and little Amuro were just too damn cool. I'm thinking of selling it just because I don't have room to display it, it's too damn big!

Hi-Def and Home Theater Thread 2
Excillon replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hey thanks VT 1010, that was extrememly informative. So basically upconversion is a scam (for lack of a better term)? I was only considering one because I already have Blu-ray, but I just bought a 40" 1080p and I have like 300+ DVD's, and I didn't want to see my collection rendered obsolete, but I was worried they'd look like crap on the TV.- 376 replies

I know what you mean, with the exception of VNV, Imperative, and a small handful of others, I'm not all that impressed. Like Assemblage 23, I HATE them. or Apoptygma Berzerk... Circling Overland is my favorite 242 song hands down...so much so I've been working on a custom decal sheet to make a 1/72 Hasegawa VE-1 model solely dedicated to that song, with the front by front ball thing on the face of the big radar dish on top, among other 242 designs placed elsewhere. Just seems fitting.

I can't wait. I swore off toys, but these are too cool to pass up. -
Krylon Matte is pretty good, and readily available at walmart or your local hardware store. I've used it several times with no problems.

Most 'USEFUL' mode 'OVERALL' of all the Variable Fight
Excillon replied to ruskiiVFaussie's topic in Movies and TV Series
I have to say Battroid, because if I'm in a battroid, odds are I'm supposed to be doing some damage, and I think that mode is best equipped for that. -
The fold booster is easy to put on, and makes fighter mode look so good. You have excellent taste by the way, not only in your choice of valks but your display. Well done!

Hi-Def and Home Theater Thread 2
Excillon replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have a question about upcoverting. I know it's not true 1080p, but do you HAVE to buy a player as in it's different hardware, or could I get a program that I could just put on the tower running to my tv and get upconversion playing DVD's that way?- 376 replies

That's funny because Firefly was the only one I got. But then, he's the only one I really like, other than Hit and Run who was my favorite, but he won't be out for a LONG time probably.

Nice!

Ummm, welcome back? I'm not big on the toys anymore, however I can recommend the 1/60 YF-19, and the new VF-25 model kits.
