  1. Just about to get this off my bench; just a few more small things to finish.
  2. Interesting, that’s a B-tank for a torch, usually filled with acetylene dissolved in acetone and absorbed into a porous mass.
  3. This is a great project! I don't often pay attention to the toy side of things, but both ships are shaping up nicely!
  4. Did you track down the wheel? Is it Hasegawa?
  5. I once saw a huge Vajra model, maybe 72nd scale; I think it was a wonderfestival resin kit. It was actually really cool! The ships in 350th would be awesome to have in plastic!
  6. Great work! These turned out excellent!
  7. That’s great and keep at it!
  8. Looking good!
  9. You found it! Thanks, I had not seen this but that’s the one!
  10. Nice work!
  11. I’m doing the Bushmasters Squadron from the MG decal sheet (there’s only a profile view - the green one). These are very cool tho!
  12. Thanks Bolt! If anyone has any ideas on the paint scheme, please let me know! I only have the profile to work from. thanks, Anthony
  13. Hi All, I'm working on the Model Graphix decal sheet variant along with the flight deck kit. Here’s some progress shots: The resin panels of the deck need to be squared up. I compressed the oleo on the front gear. Added brass barrels to the GU-11. Mounted pylons for a bomb payload.
  14. Nicely done! I really like the 'in flight' poses!
  15. Cool project @ChristopherB! Looks very well done, congrats!
  16. CAUTION - BEWARE OF BLAST 2.pdf decals and instruction sheet. This is a pretty cool kit; I’m glad it was made and it was cool to have had a hand in it. It would definitely be a doable project to make up your own from sheet stock.
  17. I will definitely replace the pistons with brass rod.
  18. ok the 3 panels are the same size: 8 3/4" l x 3 7/8". The grids are 1"x1". The pit for the hydraulics is 7 1/4" L x 1 1/2" divided into 3 sections: two 1 3/4" and the centre dividers are 1/16" The interior of the pit is lined 1/16" vertical bars. There's 2 tabs per section to mount the shields. The 4 shields are 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall. It seems to me that it was constructed with evergreen sheet stock and that checks with conversations I had with fellow who made it at the time.
  19. That’s a cool idea! What would it look like? Is there any refs out there?
  20. Yes, I think so! Let me get some measurements together! I’ll add it to the list!
  21. Here’s a cool little footnote in the history of Macross kits: a flight deck kit that was pretty accurate to the deck of the Prometheus. It was sold through the Starship Modeler store iirc. I built the Valkyrie for the box display and I have the sample build. It needs a little TLC and then I’ll post up some pics. I have one “fresh” kit that I will be using for my Bushmasters build.
  22. Interesting! I bought the COTB vhs from a Coles bookstore in Niagara Falls, NY probably around 92-93 and was blown away because I didn’t know anything about it other than I recognized the SDF-1! Good luck on the hunt!
