  1. Just finished the latest ep. So many feels, so many Easter eggs, so many cameos, so many callbacks (even to Rebels stuff), so many great moments! They absolutely nailed this episode!
  2. Just a coincidence. Plus, it’s high away, so the kiddos’ won’t mess with the WIP Macross. Went on a “get favorite books I wanted for my personal collection” binge last summer. Plus, the 1984 and Animal Farm combo put me over the $25 free shipping threshold for my cheapo Amazon account.
  3. So, I found a Macross with practically no yellowing, all the tower pieces in good condition, no broken rail-guns, and a complete unused sticker sheet. BUT. . . as soon as I took it out of the styrofoam, this happened: Both. Arms. Should have followed and read @jenius’ review advice more closely. Oh well, live and learn.
  4. This is CLEARLY the Macross’ chicken-walker/Gerwalk cruiser mode.
  5. After caving and finally purchasing a Matchbox SDF-1, I don’t know whether to be thankful or bummed about this thread. At the very least, I wanted to try an A stance mod, repaint the thighs blue, and panel-line like an idiot. But now, there’s a rabbit hole of mods to consider. In all seriousness, thank you NB4M for the detailed steps, descriptions, and pics! I definitely referred to your old custom pics to see what was possible. And thank you @tekering for starting this thread. I’m sure I’ll be referring to it a billion times in the upcoming weeks.
  6. The only things from last week’s ep that stuck out for me was: - The Martez(sp?) sisters inadvertently knocking Ahsoka down a few pegs, telling her how the Jedi didn’t do jack after indirectly leading to their parents’ death. - The brief Bo-Katan cameo. Everything else felt like filler. I’m sure watching this arc would be better if I binged through these last three eps in one sitting. But that’s just how it goes with things on +.
  7. Love the whole instrumental accompaniment on this:
  8. Vader: "Who needs the Force, when you got these GUNS!"
  9. Those X-Men avatars actually look pretty good. But I've been rolling with Chopper since the beginning. Kinda gotten attached to the cantankerous droid.
  10. Since I haven’t purchased enough of these companies’ toys to pass a judgment on best, I’ll have to list only my favorites: Yamato: YF-21 (never bought the 1/60 Version 2 VF-1’s) Arcadia: Never purchased any. Bandai: SOC Golion. . . . Never specified it had to be Macross-related!
  11. I can only guess on the big ones: Back row (starting from the left): - 1/55 Chunky; - 1/48 Yammy; - 1/48 Bandai; - 1/55 Toynami. Middle Row: - 1/60 V2 Yammy/Arcadia; - ??? - ??? - 1/60 Version 1 Yammy. The rest?
  12. One additional wrinkle to consider: posing the different Valks going from Fighter to Gerwalk to Battroid (or from Gerwalk to Battroid). For example: -1/55 Chunky Monkey - Fighter mode -1/60 Yamato V1 - Mid-transformation pose (arms back Gerwalk?) -1/48 Yamato - Full Gerwalk mode -1/60 Yamato V2 - Mid-transformation to Battroid -1/60 Arcadia - Battroid -1/48 Bandai DX - Action posed out Battroid.
  13. An oldie pic: And The Old Republic:
  14. Whiny? Yes. But calling the guy who ran into a prison cell to rescue a princess he never met, a guy that stepped into an X-Wing to face a Death Star, a guy that still chased after an AT-AT even after he got shot down, a guy that still fought Vader and tried to rescue his friends despite warnings, a guy that walked into Jabba’s palace to shake down a crime boss, and a guy that stared down the Emperor after (foolishly) tossing away his lightsaber and calling him a “wuss”? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
  15. “It’s dead, Jim. I couldn’t resurrect it, even if I infused it with fluids from a Tribble that I injected with genetically superior blood from some British guy claiming to be Khan.”
  16. Anyone got a spare Genesis Device, something that can work on an Alpha Quadrant-sized area? Something that can reset the Alpha Quadrant back to right after the Dominion War and wipes out the Kelvin timeline? 100+ years should have improved the device, right?
  17. It didn't help that Berman tried to sell the Season 3 Xindi arc as the first time Trek would do continuous story arcs. Umm. . . DS9 had ALREADY done that MULTIPLE times years before.
  18. I've watched too much Clone Wars and Rebels. So, had to fill an obvious hole in my collection and get Rex:
  19. The show is actually available on Disney+.
  20. She was already a full-on adult around the time of Star Wars Rebels (just before the Rogue One timeframe). So assuming same growth rate as humans, late 20's/early 30's at that point? So, she's probably in her 40's by the time of Mando and Baby Yoda. Edit: Or just figure, she's probably 15 to 20 years old than Luke.
  21. Definitely was fun making customs for and from this line. In any case, “Leaders lead from the front”:
  22. Nope, that's the 25th anniversary fig's from over 10 years ago.
  23. The best LRRP crew around:
  24. Still a fan of viewing Star Wars using Machete Order (IV, V, II, III, and VI). https://www.nomachetejuggling.com/2011/11/11/the-star-wars-saga-suggested-viewing-order/ All the other stuff can be viewed as side stories/supplemental material . . . of varying quality. That's how I introduced it to my kiddos, and I'm kinda glad I went that route. Too many advantages and too few drawbacks about going with this order. EDIT: A bunch of folks have used scenes from that Galaxy of Adventures to come up with anime style OP's for Star Wars.
