Dangit, @tekering! I was just going to do my usual "paint the visor to make the HUD's display less visible" bit, but then I saw you do this beautiful addition: I liked that brighter color for the windshield and had to try that with my copy. I first tried using just Tamiya Clear Orange on the windshield, but its already tinted color made it hard to see the painted orange (the final look went way beyond burnt orange). Then I tried just painting the windshield burnished gold. It looked alright, but it was a shade brighter than even the side headlights. So, I added the Tamiya Clear Orange on top of the gold paint for this effect: Close enough match to the blinker lights on the chest. And yeah, I finally used that Tamiya Clear Green (with a bit of Clear Smoke) to hide the HUD lines: It actually came out kinda darker than I'd like. But under certain light it's still pretty translucent: More pics: The boys are settled into the display case and ready for the long wait for their red-armored girl: Also, checked the above crew and thankfully didn't find any obvious cracks on those troubled joints. I usually find it easier to remove the arm gauntlets at the pistons/shock absorbers when I'm going between modes. So, I wonder if doing that keeps some of the pressure off those particular joints?

It's all good. I know how annoying it can be to set up the perfect pose, snap the correct shot, download it onto the computer. . . . and then realize one minor, itty bitty thing is "slightly" off.

I was about to ask where his trusty machete was, but I see that it’s just angled almost dead-on to the camera.

Haven’t really checked yet. If it did, it’s either really small, or I really didn’t notice it. I too got a scratch on my Stick from that part, but it’s kinda hard to spot it, unless you’re really searching for it.

Nah, the algebra teacher in Wonder Years was a different actor. . . . “And you don’t have to grade it; it’s an A”

There is a little “cheat” to pulling it off: There’s a ball joint at the top of the shock absorbers; I wind up just popping off that joint from the bike part that connects under the armpit/side torso. Frees up the posing angles some.

Just barely got my copy of Yellow this past Monday. First impressions? Still wish the bike and armor were a shade or two lighter. Lot of the joints are pretty tight on mine, compared to my Stick and Rey. I did wind up popping off some of the ball joints during the transformation process, one shoulder armor/pauldron liked to come off while I was futzing with poses, and the flaps on my wheel boosters like to come off when I'm angling out the booster. But all the pieces can be popped back into place (with a little lots of patience). Also, the transformation for the arm gauntlets was a little tricky to follow in the instruction booklet. But overall I'm pleased to finally have the bladed bastard. A few words of advice: 1) Be careful pushing in the windshield assembly for armor mode. It looks like you can push it in more, but the clear plastic windshield will start to push upward and could pop off or break. 2) As with the first two Ride Armors, when separating the crotch armor from the rest of the bike, open these joints from the bottom up. It takes a bit of effort to get the parts to separate, but it's a little easier and less stressful than trying to separate these parts from the top down. Tried to do the super-hero landing/kneeling pose, but just couldn't pull it off in full armored mode. However, Yellow can impersonate a certain surly Canadian just fine: Bring on Houquet, and complete the team!

Dammit. Rest In Peace, Constable.

Well, it's not like there was a huge Imperial presence in Tatooine at that time. They only started showing up in droves once they figured out some battle station plans were ejected onto the planet. Plus, Vader's mommy died on that planet; probably not a place he likes to frequent.

The only feasible story they could try to do is a parallel story of A'Sharad Hett and Obi-Wan. Use a bunch of eps. to fill in some backstory and their shared history. Intermix it with some current issue/story with the Tusken Raiders, possibly starting issues with Uncle Owen. Bring everything together at the conclusion.

If they insist on telling a story about his time in the desert, there's only one story they could conceivably tell.

Welp, they're already filming Season 2 of Mando, Season 7 of Clone Wars animated will be dropping in February, and, supposedly they'll start filming Obi-Wan next year. The first two will be moving forward, regardless of TROS' results. And I suspect hubris and/or stubbornness will force Disney to move forward with Obi-Wan, since they already made a big announcement about it. At this point, for me, it all depends on who's running the show/film. Filoni and Favreau get the benefit of the doubt. Most those associated with the sequel trilogy, I'm scrutinizing heavily with heaps of salt.

Hulk, Cap, and Thor were all “okay” movies, but they were clearly building up to Avengers. Other than the Sequel trilogy, the Disney Wars movies are all off-shoots/side-stories. I’m curious to see how they pull off the Obi-Wan series. But if he ever gets off Tatooine between Sith and New Hope, I’m screaming BS. Because there’s no way in hell, he abandons his primary mission.

And there’s eps that all good Trek strives for: you can watch it years later, and it’s still bloody relevant to our current world. Shows that still stand the test of time and can still hit you in the gut. It’s also one of the few shows that treated the divide between religion and secular life with respect for both sides.

Motion denied. As much as I enjoy referring to The Child as Baba Yaga, I suspect “Baby Yoda” is gonna stick. I did enjoy Episode 5 this week.- 1438 replies

Nah, there’s a sandbox of characters Filoni could pull into the Mando’s neck of the galaxy. EDIT: But yes, they need to stay the hell away from the First Order, the Resistance, and probably barely a cameo of Luke’s Jedi Order, if even that.

Simply the best Trek series ever. Was doing long story arcs before it was even considered a thing. Even the recurring guest characters had awesome, well developed stories.

One quick tip: With the Falcon Fighter Jet, the best way to remove it from the Strato Weapons Module is start by removing the clip closest to the Jet’s backside/thrusters. An easy way to cause this to happen is to push down on the Jet’s canopy, which you’ll probably discover on your own as you try to pose Voltron or re-angle the Jet as a chest piece. Also, looking back at the forearm cars, I do wish they could have been positioned on Voltron with the canopies was away from the body (instead of always locked facing toward the front). However, I suspect it was a design compromise, in order to still make the Turbo Terrain Fighter feasible and to not make the elbow connection too complicated.
