I think the other issue is that Hasbro has shifted its emphasis to the 6-inch lines, trying to force that to be the collectors’ line. They already had trouble making in-scale vehicles at the old 3.75” scale, and those vehicles unfortunately had a tendency to go on sale or clearance a lot. So, I can only imagine how much more cost prohibitive it is to sell vehicles at the 6-inch scale. But again, I think Hasbro has been repeatedly dropping the ball for the past decade or so.

Hey! Don’t insult the GI Joe Weather Dominator like that! Watching those old Joe episodes, you realize now just how cheesy the show could be.

Thanks for the compliment, but I know there's far better customizers than me. My spray painting technique is still hit-and miss. There's flaws in my work that I can personally accept, but I'd probably hold myself to a higher standard when doing a custom for someone else. I'm more than happy to share what I've learned and screwed up on (shameless thread plug! ), but it's just a fun diversion for me.

How much did I pay for it? How much am I willing to sell it for? Or how much of the original is still left?

Welp, Taika Waititi has been a part of The Mandalorian, as both the IG-88-type droid and as one of the directors for an ep or two. So, he has some built-up goodwill.

If Hasbro and Disney were smarter, they should have had the following figures ready to be revealed for today: * Ahsoka Tano - Siege of Mandalore version; * Maul * 501st Clone Trooper - Ahsoka paint scheme * Jesse - ARC trooper version * Gar Saxon - Maul-Mando version * Bo Katan Doesn’t surprise me, but that’s just how it’s been.

Had to look it up to confirm, but it’s from the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. * Because The Force Unleashed’s theme of “Kicking someone’s ass with the Force” is no longer on-brand for the Mouse. And Knights of the Old Republic (aka one of the best damn video games) is not part of the part of the Mouse’s official nostalgia remember-berries. * Haven’t played this game, so not knocking it. It could be a quality game for all I know. But it’s just the marketing team’s usual annoying focus on the latest new thang.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Mog replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The directors’ ep was fairly cool. * Convinces you that Filoni should have a bigger role in reviewing ALL Star Wars stories. * I never knew that Chow directed an ep of Mr. Robot. * And I would have loved to be a fly on the wall listening in on Ron Howard, Lucas, and Kurosawa having a conversation.- 1438 replies

Welp, the + has been pretty cranky about waiting until midnight (or a little later) in my time zone to release the last few Clone Wars episodes. So, it was surprising to see it already released this “early.”

May the 4th came early. Just a ton of sadness from this ending. ROTS at least gave you hope with the twins’ ending. This one just left a heavy sadness and is the shortest ep of this four-part arc. Folks who’ve watched Rebels will catch the symbolic owl. The ending feels heavy, but appropriate. A great, yet sad way to end the series. Now, I feel like I need to watch Rebels’ ending to get cheered up.

Nice! That's some impressive and seamless work. Can't even see where the original plastic ends and the styrene(?) extension begins. Very clean look! -
Caleb (thinking): “Master Windu could probably rock some bomb facial hair. . . I know! I’m gonna grow a soul-patch when I grow up!” Later seasons Kanan may have but he gained a magnificent beard in the process.

Told ya’ I’m impatient : Still have to panel-line a few spots, paint up one set of foot boosters, and confirm the main guns mesh and hold up in cruiser mode. But I’m pleased with how it all worked out. Definitely messed up in spots, but was able to come up with workarounds. -

Other than some minor touch-ups, I’m done with painting (at least spray-painting). Now comes the hard part: waiting for everything to dry properly and completely. -
They have dropped a few cameos for Rebels already: Young Kanan/Caleb Dume and Sabine’s Mama all made an Easter egg appearance in this arc. We even had Gar Saxon make an unexpected appearance, making it clear why he’s such an Imperial lackey. The code name “Fulcrum” was also dropped too. About the only additional tie-in would be how Greggor and Wolfe wound up with Rex. Curious if that will be shown next episode or if we’ll go back to Mandalore. Whatever Filoni decides to do, this arc has more than lived up to its high expectations. Between this, Rebels, and the Mandalorian, can we just make Filoni the head story lead for ALL Star Wars projects from now on? EDIT: Maybe The Mandalorian is the follow up to Rebels?

Those first 10 minutes or so are an absolute master class in building tension through musical choices. Pretty sure I heard a musical cue or two from ROTS once the big moment hit too. I’m sure Order 66 was a shock to her still, but I wonder how much her experience being hunted by the clones back in Season 5 helped Ahsoka get out of this predicament.

You knew it was coming. . . But damn, did it still hit hard. Glad to finally see the “how” of everything. Also, it was cool to see Ursa Wren at this time without the helmet. And see
