  1. Considering the crap treatment Hasbro's been giving to the 3.75" scale (more 5 POA figures, mediocre--at best--paint apps, rising prices for less quality, etc.), some idiot jackhole decided to make his own KOTOR-era Sith Troopers. Malak's finally getting the backup he deserves:
  2. Not sure if this has been posted before in this thread, but this is a great to-scale map of the solar system: http://joshworth.com/dev/pixelspace/pixelspace_solarsystem.html Really gives you a sense of how much empty space there is out there, especially when you're just using the right arrow or scroll bar to traverse the distances. Pretty insane how we've been able to send probes to all of these various planets (dwarf or otherwise) and still snap damn good photos of them.
  3. "Stupid, stupid, stupid! . . . And very cruel! . . . . . . And very stupid!!" But oh so very entertaining: http://mashable.com/2015/07/16/marvel-dubsmash-war/ The Agent Carter crew got some good digs on Chloe and Clark.
  4. ^^Could it have anything to do with how the point that those two rotate around is outside of Pluto's actual mass/body?
  5. ^^My "SWAG" ("Scientific" Wild-Ass Guess)? It has something to do with 1) its gravitational/tidal push-pull with Charon (think Earth-Moon tidal forces X 10000) and 2) Pluto's eccentric orbit around the sun. That massive distance between its closest and furthest approach from the sun has to have some unusual impact, right?
  6. Latest Pluto pics showing the broken-up heart: http://space.io9.com/pluto-has-a-broken-heart-in-the-latest-photos-from-new-1717785162. I remember seeing those first pics of Neptune in the newspaper. Amazing how much has changed since the last time we made our first visit to another planet.
  7. Anyone else watching Mr. Robot? The pilot and second episode were pretty damn good. There was some clunky dialogue and a few scenes that were a bit much in the third episode. But I'm curious to see how this series plays out. Plus, those extended intro scenes so far have been extremely well done.
  8. ^^Probably due to that Frozen sequel being attached to it? EDIT: A7 beat me to the punch.
  9. Her "acting" in GI Joe: Retaliation was pretty cringe-worthy. But she sorta looks the part and can unquestionably pull off the stunt work.
  10. ^^What's not to love about a motorcycle that has packs of chest missiles, two bloody extendable arm blades, and is a nice shade of blue?
  11. If the rest of the second season is as dark as this (and doesn't devolve into Inquisitor of the Week garbage), we're in for a treat. Vader was straight owning them the entire time! A few other observations: Can't wait to see what happens next with Ahsoka and Rex!
  12. Dracula, Island Cult Leader, Bond villain, Middle Earth Wizard, Sith Lord. . . . and metal afficionado: You will not be forgotten.
  13. Just finished Season 1 last night. GREAT GOOGLY, MOOGLY! THAT WAS GOOD!! Yes, the show has some utterly brutal moments. But there are appropriate moments of humor here and there. They really nailed all the supporting characters too. Not just in terms of their looks, but in their characterizations as well. D'onofrio absolutely killed it as Fisk. All in all, a really great series and addition to the MCU.
  14. Thanks for the compliment on the custom. But please don't put words into my post, ChaoticYeti: I never said the 21/22 was "the best at standing." I know the Omega has its issues. And if you look at my post, you'll see I made no mention of derex3592's comment about aligning the bellyplates. . . . Because getting the legs and arms to line up in fighter mode AND getting the bellyplates properly tabbed in everywhere is hard as stink. I've dealt with far worse toys and figures that were damn near impossible to keep standing and still hold a cool pose. The 21 is definitely NOT in that category, and I've never personally felt limited by its posing options. Now, can you complain about the 21's legs being skinny? Sure. But as you pointed out, saying that "its legs were not good enough to support it standing" is an overstatement. As for me, I personally don't mind the skinny legs, because of this: Between going with thicker legs or a thin profile in fighter mode, I'm glad Yamato went with the slimmed-out fighter profile in its design choices. I'll take that sexy side profile every time over the "plane strapped to an underside brick" look that a number of transforming plane/mecha toys have nowadays.
  15. Sorry, but that part I bolded is a simple, outright lie. The 21 can stand perfectly fine on its own, thank you very much:
  16. Of all the names to have: https://www.yahoo.com/games/news/nintendo-hires-doug-bowser-vp-131200542.html. Mario better watch his back at those boardroom meetings!
  17. Could they have crammed any more rom-com and chick-flick cliches into that trailer?
  18. Season 2 finale is tonight! Wonder if they're going to go full cliffhanger tonight? Or do something to similar to what they did last season, where they resolve one storyline but start up a few new ones?
  19. That pic reminds me of these folks: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060824033808/starwars/images/e/e5/Sithtroopermodel.jpg If only Hasbro had released a troop builder set of them Sith Troopers.
