It's the rapture, repent now!

Gorgeous, and if you watch carefully at the end, you will see a trio of VF-17s parked on the ramp that the YF-19n lands on, they are right in front of the VF-11 battroids.

Mac7 can be hard to watch at times, but it is still a good and important series in the Macross mythos. I've said this before, but I think that M7's biggest problem was that it was too light, but that was the era when it was produced, an overly dark anime back then would have likely failed. If you watch M7 today and just imagine basara actually being the grunge rocker he looked like off stage, and the darker storylines about the protodevlin being, well, dark, it improves the story a great deal IMHO. Also, realize that Basara could easily be retconned to be the child of Shin and Sara from M0, this would explain his abilities nicely and and his attitude.

Very cool, and the song works with it great.

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Vol. 1

That was my biggest gripe, minimal data on the exo-atmospheric FAST packs and equipment, as well as the VT-1 and VE-1. -
Quote your sources SMC. Yes the Wing Sweep was computer controlled, but that was it, and it was easily overrided, the other control surfaces were just good old hydraulically boosted. As for the glove vanes they were there for two reasons: 1) to destabilize the aircraft for supersonic MANEUVERING, otherwise the F-14 would not be able to pull hard maneuvers at high speed (with the wing swept) 2) to compensate during wing sweep for the change in CG, but only during transition. The navy soon realized that neither was needed hence why all later F-14s had them bolted shut or in the case of the D model, removed (IIRC). SO quote your source, I'll get the NATOPS and maintenance manual I was given during one of their last deployments, and the declassified tech manual that Bill Miller (grumman project pilot for the F-14) gave me.

Wait what, ow ow ow, my brain hurts. The F-14 did not have a Fly By Wire control system, it was a purely analogue plane, where did you get that information? The first mass produced fighter with FBW was the F-16, that was why it was referred to as the electric jet. The F-14 was a marvelously aerodynamic aircraft, still is, but it was not some unstable POS, the only computer controlled control surface IIRC (DH correct me if I am wrong) were the glove vanes, but they were eliminated what it was determined that their use had no effect on how the aircraft handles during transition.

Uh, DH the F-35B is still flying, at least BF-02 is, as for the issue that has ground BF-01, well I can't go into too much on that here, so it is being used for ground and load testing. Anyways, BF-02 recently began inflight refueling tests, and has been performing quite well, let me talk to the JSF CTF guys and find out what is going on with hover tests, I know that they are not suppossed to be long in coming.

Quick question for any of you lucky people who have one. Some of the pictures I have seen show the SDF-1, TV version, but the prometheus looks different, was it redesigned for the book, can anyone confirm of post a clean scan of it? The picture on the hlj page in particular makes the Prometheus look like it was crossed with the carrier from Macross-0. -

We need a fragging translation of this book, and pictures, lots of pictures. -
I remember that show, and remember that I liked it alot more than the other Sonic shows that came out around the same time, or since.

I looked at page or two of that Doug Bendo thread on RT.com and wow, I have had religious debates with people who gave greater concessions then him, that guy is seriously hard headed and refuses to acknowledge any other point of view beyond his own, even when the others are bringing in the scientific numbers to back up their arguments. Also, can no one on the RT board spell to save their lives or what? I know that spelling and grammar mistakes creep in on the boards, but man some of the errors I saw there made my eyes bleed.

Hmm, I sense a money making oppurtunity here, I wonder if I should get copies burned to disk from Don and then sell them off my website. Oh and Ghost Train, yeah it reminded me of that, but in Mac+ the YF-21 went to burner to accelerate away so fast, in the video the real YF-23 was still in mil power.
-
HOLY SCHNIKIES!!! One of the Northrup guys here worked on the F-20 and the YF-23 programs back in the day and he pulls me aside today to watch a couple of videos of them he had. Now, the F-20 one was cool, lots of footage I have never seen before, some nice stuff of watching the plane dance around everything up there with it, very cool. But then, he pulls out this tape and puts it in the VCR, I told him he needs to burn them to disk ASAP, and the screen opens with a frigging aviation orgasm of the YF-23 in mil power outrunning an F-15 at full burner. The videos were so freaking cool, and showed images of those planes I have never seen before, hearing the comments from photo-chase was the best part. The Chase guy in one shot starts doing barrel rolls around the YF-23 contrail simply because he can't keep up, he even says on the video, "I'm at full burner, can't catch up, so I'm going to do something I always wanted to do." Then starts to roll around the contrail, and you can see that the YF-23 is still at Mil power, mind you this was PAV-2 with the GE engines, and I was told that with those engines nothing, NOTHING short of a missile could out accelerate it in a flat run. Goram that was so cool. I can hear DH salivating now, that or plotting to strangle me, it's a bad connection.

very nice, too bad you didn'y make the main cannon open able, for firing though, like in ep 1

Oooh, sounds like some materials and structures guys better start looking for new jobs.

Need Urgent Help On A Car Question
Knight26 replied to the white drew carey's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
IIRC Diesel nozzles are smaller then gas nozzles to prevent gas from being put into a diesel, it is an issue of contamination ratio. A little diesel in gas will give your car the hiccups but if it isn't much it won't kill the engine. Putting gas in a diesel on the otherhand can be much more damaging. Also, most diesel handles are green instead of black, so that is usually enough to keep most dumb @$$es from putting it into a gas tank.
