And, the only reason they did that was because of how they had to fold the vertical stab in order to make it fit inside the carrier's hanger. The slab/stab actually doesn't move that much because of how large it is, and to see it move more then a few degrees was rare because of how much rudder authority the giant thing gave it.

Don't get me started on the F-22 computer system, some buddies of mine over at that CTF are going crazy over it, and the best hope of getting that computer system's replacement will probably be in a B model aircraft, but that is about impossible now with the production halt. Time will tell though since the tooling still exists and apparently plans have been drawn up using a more open architechture based on the F-35 systems.

And note, that I said intersting character, not a good one, but an interesting one. Personnally I do not care for her character, but it had a lot of room for intersting character development and growth. Sometimes that was handled well, othertimes not so much, maybe the novelizations handle it better.

Remember you are also looking at the first flight prototype, so a lot of those pitots and arials will probably be made much less obtrusive in the production model. If I had to hazard a guess I would say it's RCS will likely be close to if not slightly better then the F-35s. My biggest question at this point, what are those blisters under the wing roots, sensors, vortex controllers, small weapons bays, what?

I'm going to bet that the super/strike versions will either be DYRL variants or will include parts for both versions. It really wouldn't be that many more parts after all, even the A head isn't that drastically changed.

Exactly, I built my first sim pit for less then $50 and it wasn't that complex, I will build another in a few years after we expand the house as we just don't have room for it right now. Also, I have no idea where people come off thinking that the flight gear is SO EXPENSIVE. Not counting the flight gear I have been issued I have put together a full fighter flight gear kit, suit, g-suit, harness, helmet, mask (working comms), boots, survival vests (AF and Navy) etc... for less then $150 by shopping around, hitting the right mil surpluss stores, ebay, and craigslist. Yes if you go for the brand new kit it can get into the thousands, but if you can use a needle and thread then pick up some slightly distressed or used pieces at yard sales, thrift shops, etc... and make it nice yourself. And I'm sorry even the helmet deco he has is easy, it's all tape people, unless he painted it himself.
