  1. The new version still has a long, long way to go, need the central engine, weapons, canards, nose sensor, central intakes (RAM Scoops and later for a new drive system) Central reverse thrusters, may redo the nose, add the ventral, dorsal fins, and the outer wings. I am also considering an alternate configuration with the two larger main engines on the fuselage and then two smaller engine nacelles with the missile jackets outboard where the two large engines are now. It would make it look like a cross between the NATF-23 proposed config and the YF-27 from Macross Frontier.
  2. Well I said progress would be slower on this one. Still have a ways to go but the engine nacelles and missile jackets are coming along nicely. Though I think it looks a little too needle nosed right now, might just be the perspective.
  3. The VF-22 was IMHO a rushed design, Kawamori knew he needed another powerful fighter for the end but had written himself into a corner regarding the YF-21 so changed the design a bit for the VF-22, basically just enough to make it a new plane. As for the gunpod storage, yes there is some serious origami to fitting the pods in, but I would wager that the gunpod can we swapped out for a reaction warhead. I'd say that those doors open for either the gunpod or the missile. In battroid you probably have the option of removing the gunpod through the doors or just grabbing off the innerside of the ventral plate. The real question is what Graham brought up though, why didn't max use the forearm beam cannons. The only reasonable explanation is that the beam cannons use the same fuel source to generate their "plasma" as the reaction engines use for fuel. Max may have been low on fuel and opted not use the beam cannons becuase he knew he wouldn't have fuel to make his escape if he started openning fire with the beam cannons.
  4. Next up on the chopping block, the Splicer 2000 Cutter, Heavy Interceptor. First up the old version and what progress I have made so far.
  5. Waaa, that is so so wrong Someone contact UN Spacy and request permission to utilize reaction warheads.
  6. Thanks that is what I needed to know, it is a droid phone, so before we take it in I will sync it up to try and save most of it, hopefully it will autosync like its suppossed to once it has power.
  7. The navy should have all their planes go back to those older schemes, especially the old WW2 blue schemes
  8. quick question: My wifes smartphone, well it was destroyed, still functions but the screen is no longer. I'm looking at getting her a replacement, but since she neglected to get the insurance on the phones we have to go out of pocket on the costs. I have found the same unit for sale second hand for around $100, and a refurbed through verizon will be twice that, so my question is this, if I get her the second hand phone, can the verizon store clone her old phone over to it, number and all, or do I need to take it someplace else?
  9. Texturing is done with the exception of markings and warnings will get to those later, picture dump incoming: Cadet Colors: Combat Colors: Flanker Inspired: Bare Metal Look:
  10. baseline (no labels or detailed markings) top texture done, cadet colors, comments?
  11. Underside detailing is finished and I have the ventral texture render running as I type, should take a while. Anyway here are a bunch of pictures for you to take a look at, let me know what you think.
  12. It's like the reverse of all the other bad superhero movies, 7 heroes versus 1 villian...
  13. I agree 100%, Kristen Stewart is really not attractive
  14. DAMN!!!!
  15. Thanks TWDC, I think the twin tail idea will really work much better. The underside is coming along really quickly, partly because I am able to reuse a lot of the old model on it, the central fuselage and underside of the wings are, for the most part straight off the old model with very little modification needed. So hopefully I can have the detailing finished by thanksgiving, then basic texturing before the end of the month, minus any custom markings *crosses fingers*. The next fighter will be an almost total rebuild though, so that should take longer and be much more interesting.
  16. Pretty much finished detailing the dorsal surface, will start on the ventral tomorrow, then will start on the textures. The grey bits are all that is salvaged from the old model.
  17. One looks partially transformed behind the laptop, and I see some extra bits laying there, possibly mockup parts for FAST packs?
  18. I applaud the concept, but the execution seems lacking, and I agree it looks like a prequel to spirits within.
  19. about damn time and just in time for Christmas yeah
  20. no, nothing so lame
  21. Thanks to WDC's suggestion of redesigning or ditching the vertical tail entirely, I am thinking of going twin tail, I have mocked these up real quick with the old vertical, which do people like more, I am preferring the wider spaced set, though I may change the angle and general design of the tails a bit. The biggest issue I have with it the twin tail is it make the spine pretty bare I might play around with a new spine before I detail if I go this route.
  22. major update nearly all the main salient features are in place, including all the maneuvering thrusters, advanced magnetic relativistic ion projector, very efficient and high thrust, but not designed for prolonged use. The last major feature to add are the internal missile launchers, loading doors and racks. Probably to the lower outer side of the engine nacelles. After that I will clean up the mesh, chop it up into top and bottom pieces then start the detailing process before going on to texturing.
  23. Based on the crowd she is hanging with, i would guess a Final Fantasy game
