  1. Ah yes the NGP, nicer design, since it is a bit bigger, but what is with the wing, that just wierds me out at this point, need to see some aero numbers to figure out that one. Also I wonder since it has the aft passneger door if it is a 4 or 6 seater, the cargo door is throwing me off on that point.
  2. What does everyone think of the new Cessna LSA concept, it's been quite a while since Cessna introduced a whole new bird and maybe its just me but I really don't care for it. The fuselage and wing just seem very off to me, maybe I'm just used to the old cessna lines or something, but the new curves seem odd, though more aerodynamic I agree, and the new wing just seems really off.
  3. Yes a new firefighting airplane is badly needed in the US too many of the ones we have are getting on in years and are starting to break down because of it. The problem is that no one wants to invest the money to build up firefighter from the ground up, they would rather retrofit something that already exists.
  4. KISS-Formers yet more proof that transfans have issues and are pediphiles lol
  5. arrgh the link is dead and I can't find the thread on your boards cap
  6. My wife lost hers on our honeymoon and I want to get her a new one, but she does not want me to pay too much, anybody know of a place online to get refurbed ipod nanos for not too much, besides ebay?
  7. Are any of the color schemes marine corps type? I was thinking of getting one of these for my granpa before he died, but now that he is past I would still like to get a marine corps one as a way of remembering him.
  8. Holy Damn, that is hot, and if you could get them to actually fire the nukes that would be over the top. Imagine recreating the openning battle from DYRL, or at least the nuke intercept sequence, man that would awesome.
  9. Yes the landing gear stores in the LERX just like that.
  10. That is freaking amazing work man, super impressed. Is the Avenger out?
  11. Quick TF question, which is considered more canon for G1, the cartoon or the Marvel Comic?
  12. The only way it would be worth it is if the plane is not just super detailed but looks like Doc Robs modified 1:18 hornet. All the details have to be present down to the rivets, access panels will have to be openable, the wings will have to sweep, the feet move, all the control surfaces, etc... While a fully variable one would uber cool it just wouldn't be practical at that size due to the material strength requirements, all plastic wouldn't hold up and a large amount of diecast would make it far too heavy. But for a non transforming one I would want the following features as a minimum: 1) detailed cockpit 2) openning cockpit (duh) 3) variable wings 4) moving control surfaces (all of them) 5) folding tails 6) fully retracting undercarriage, including wheel rotation 7) moving thrust vector feet openning and closing intakes 9) Openning and closing radome, with detailed radar 10) Openning and detailed maintenance panels, showing engine and transformation details, etc... 11) Different weapons packages, missiles, bombs, missile cases, nukes, gunpod, etc... 12) Moving head, make the head be able to pull out and swivel (like and hikaru and max both did in the VF-1S') Now for a still not full variable one I would also want the rest: 1) Bending knees and hips (you can guess why) 2) Folding backpack (come on you have to have figured it out by now) 3) Fast packs and fast pack attachement (yep I want it super and strike capable) Anything more then that and it would have to be fully variable, even stalking gerwalk would not be enough for most fans.
  13. Looking good, but what are you using for reference material? I ask becuase it looks a little too short and stocky in fighter mode and the wings look way too small.

Ok, I am officially eating crow, one question though, did you have to modify the slide rail the armor piece sits in at all in order to make it work? I ask because the pictures are a little fuzzy in that regard and I cannot tell if in fighter mode the armor is actually held in the rails or if it is floating.
  15. Uh there is already a topic on this and no SK has no involvement, this is strictly a HG production, may it never see the light of day.
  16. I definitely agree, better to put it on a credit card and then pay it off a month later, or better yet get a friend who can afford it to float you a loan.

Ok my bad, should have worded it better, as for those who do not what what the VEFR-1 is, here is the listing on MAHQ: http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/sdfmacross/vefr-1.htm

I'd love to see you make a perfect variable 1D, the only way I could it possilby working is if the cockpit armor somehow split in two, which would explain the seam on the VF-1D cockpit armor plate. Also when it comes to color schemes you have three official ones ready for the VF-1D, plus all the myriad unofficial/semi-official VT-102 (O) Virgin Road (O) Funny Chinese (O) but would require some new parts (not technically a VF-1D but based on the same airframe, it is the precursor to the VE-1) Cannon Fodder (S) I swear there is a scene when Hikaru is training that he is in a CF VF-1D Angel Bird (S) you know the demo team had to have at least 2 seater Low Vis (U) people would buy it up you know it Stealth (U) people would buy it up you know it etc...(U) the possibilities are pretty endless on how to repaint it Then you have to retool again to make the VT/VE two seaters, but they are basically the same except for the heads and fast packs. And again you have the two official schemes and a myriad of unofficial ones you could cram into there.
  19. I get to see the V-22 fly all the time, it is quite interesting to watch.

The biggest problem Yamato will ahve with a VF-1D or any two seater is as Captain America showed us you can't make them perfect variable. There just is nowhere that you can shoehorn in the cockpit armor, it has to be seperate. That is of course unless they can pull some serious magic acts.
  21. Those Wacky Isrealis are at it again, check out the first concept on there, very interesting but way too dangerous and impractical. http://www.fartechnologies.com/ Oops, we dropped it.
  22. I'm leaning that way myself what with how finances are going right now, and lets face it the collectable toy is not the most kid friendly. Heck right now I am considering starting to sell some of my stuff off. I think datterboy really hit the nail on the head though, all these toys now are designed less for play and more for the collectors market. I love my yammies, and think they are great but no way I would let the kids even touch them, they are more like an investment, but I wonder whether that invest was really worth it now, especially now.
  23. Hey now I love Buckaroo Banzai, it was exactly what it was suppossed to be, totally campy and a load of fun.
  24. I still think it is funny that the JASDF actually painted up two planes like that, I know it is for some official reason, but you have to wonder if some JASDF general is secretly a macross fan. "I order that the pilots who fly these fighters, paint their hair blue or green"
