1. Man am I the only one who thinks it sucks that they kill of Cyclops, just so the Hugh Jackman lovers get to see their boy get the girl, hey jerk off she's married.
2. I have heard some some spoilers regarding my favorite character of cyclops, some very bad rumors, can anyone confirm them?
3. Very nice update to the original design
4. At least little valk was original and funny, and had better artwork
5. It looks like an account will be required to look at the story, sorry guys, but I have already gotten one comment back, so I may try a significant rewrite of it.
6. Ok it is posted, but you may have to create an account to look at it, sorry: http://bar.baen.com/WB/default.asp?action=...ad=82542&fid=65 Please feel free to make any comments.
7. Which stick and throttle combo?
8. Once I put it up I will, but I can't do that at work, the IT folks have some wierd protocol as to which forums they block and that is one of them, ugh.
9. Hey all, it looks like the publisher Baen books is getting ready to start a new sci-fi magazine. I am going to try and submit some of my short stories to them. THing is their submission system works one of two ways. I can send in an unsolicitated submission via their submission form, or I can do it through their bulletin board after which, if enough interest is generated they may publish it. So, would I be able to count on you guys to help out and go to the Baen's bar on www.baen.com and take a look at the short stories I put up there in order to increase traffic and apparent interest, leaving comments would be doubly helpful as well. Thanks
10. Arg I can't see them since they are on blogspot and I am at work
11. They overloaded the barrier by launching a buttload of nukes inside his fortress and getting hit by the blasts.
12. I like the spidertank desing aspect, very cool
13. Oh my God, VF5SS sue them. LOL
14. The GSh-301, does fire in bursts, as does the 23 mm carried by earlier migs, I will have to see just how many, but I want to say something like 15 round bursts.
15. Suckas!!!! 397722 How so?
16. The series pretty clearly shows that the Macross itself and the earth in general is outclassed militarily by the Zentraedi. The only reason they didn't just blast us out of existance was curiosity and then when they saw that we had Reaction weapons they decided to try and get them themselves. So, thinking that the reaction weapons came from the Macross they chase after it and try not to kill it but to capture it. Then of course Boldolza realizes the threa humanity poses and says screw it blast the suckers into oblivion, which they did to good effect. Unfortunately for him the grand cannons cut neough out of his fleet for the Macross and Breetai's fleet to get in close and nuke the SOB into the next level of existance.
17. nice can we gen an animation of it in action?
18. The MiG-23/27 line has never been that popular amongst enthusists as they are, let's face it, not the sexyist beasts out there. They are however quite capable airframes, and let us not forget that most russian fighters are designed for the close in knife fight. So, with those big swing wings fully out I could see a MiG-23 giving an F-16 a run for its money in a turning fight. Also in regards to the 30mm cannon, yes a single burst from it is more then enough to disable or destroy an F-16, american planes for the most part are not designed to take that kind of punishment. Warsaw pact aircraft on the other hand are, and can take a lot of punishment, not surprising when they are primarily built for a defensive role.
19. Like hell you do. 398060 LOL, hey VF5SS, haven't seen you on for a while, didn't you archive the little valk stuff somewhere?
20. We need dueling Macross comic strips, or at least a cameo by little valk
21. Just watched the video, very nice, that thing really performs well, though I wonder if the more powerful engines may be too much for it.
22. Very funny, Llamas?
23. Very nicely done
24. I think that no matter whether or not everyone likes his later designs that SK will always be considered one of the top mecha designers for one reason. He was the first to design and impliment in a show a truly viable and realistic variable mecha design. Let's face it prior to Macross all variable mecha had to employ a level of anime magic that made them complete unrealistic. Macross on the other hand gave us a variable mecha that when looked at you could see how it could work.
