Remember those 1/55 MechWarrior figures that came out this spring? I'd like the Destroids to be something like those, with some improvements, though. High diecast, sturdy construction, nice paint, opening cockpit. Add a nice yamato sculpt and some more detail, missile hatches, etc. And at the same $25-$30 pricepoint.

Yeah, a real bandai is only 10-15 bucks more......

I'd think plastic weld, like Tenak, ProWeld, or Plastruct, would be good for that fix.

Maybe it's a fixed transformation GK that can be built in F, G or B.

I managed to ruin a Banpresto. Paint weakened the plastic somehow during a customising attempt, and some parts snapped during reassembly.

I only got my first Yammie last october. It came to a time where I became certain of my desire for a Valk, and I was torn between a Yammie and the Bandai reissues. The Yammies are a cooler valk overall, but the bandai appealed to my "fetish" for 1980s mecha toys. I ended up going with a Yammie Max 1A, and have bought a few more valks since.

I have a feeling these things will start showing up in unusual places, so have no fear.....

That sounds great.... except us foreigners have one heck of a time putting the billing address down.... that even when retailers take foreign credit cards. Ahh, that's why we have a "Comments" field during checkout so that you can put in the complete address to your heart's content lol. The only reason why I like hlj is because all they ask is for the shipping address.... no billing or anything. I never understood why they could do that while most other e-tailers had to ask for billing address. Umm, well, in the U.S., when you process a credit card, you verify the card by matching it with the billing address. The credit card processor will tell you if it's a match. And many people have different billing addresses (such as a P.O. Box) than their shipping address (such as their work address, etc.) Also, some customers purchase items as a gift and want it shipped to someone else. I have no idea why HLJ doesn't ask for a billing and shipping address. But hey, they're in Japan, I don't know how things work there. I see. Oh well.... by the time the Hikaru 1s comes out... I will give my card a try with one of MW e-tailers. I just had to keep this going..... Lol. It's like when you plug a camera into the TV and then point it at said TV.

This thing is pretty cool!

I often find myself seeing similarities between Macross and the real world. And the way the world is going,a world war doesn't seem to impossible.

Tell that to the Pink Pecker Squadron... lol... not only were they pink... but the name is extremely gay. Hah, lol, it's so hard to imagine Ray flying a pink valk, too.....

If the VF-0 looked less advanced, than no onwe would want to watch it. I mean, it would probably look like the Methuss tot the Valkyrie's Zeta Gundam.

That makes sense. And not only are the uniforms more frienly looking, they are more styled, and clearly designed with appearance in mind.

I'm glad Isamu lives. If I want to see a tragic anime, I'll go watch something by Tomino. Macross is, while still dark in places, mostly a relatively optimistic and bright anime.

Maybe oversweep is only used on surface vessels, where there isn't room to fold and unfold the backpack (ceiling clearance), and the full back is only used in space carriers.
