  1. I wanted that too, but I just got an e-mail from Amazon Japan stating that the release date has been delayed. They originally had the Dec 25th release date... so if it was changed and everywhere else December is mentioned... I think the release date is the 31st
  2. I think the "confirmation" that there are 50 issues comes from this: http://books.shopro.co.jp/macross/backnumber/index.html It's the "back issue" section in the Macross Chronicles website edit: sp
  3. Hi guys!! was waiting for the site to be "open" again... didn't know the board was already functional I saw my forehead! Glad to have met all of you. Sorry I couldn't post earlier... I was in KL last week for work (and I just found Pang's number today )
  4. From ANN: Famed character designer and manga creator Haruhiko Mikimoto (Macross, Gundam 0080, Aim for the Top! Gunbuster) will be drawing the tentatively titled manga The Super Dimension Fortress Macross the First in the recently revealed Macross Ace magazine from Kadokawa Shoten. The January issue (on sale on November 26) of Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine will make the announcement. Vol. 001 of Macross Ace will debut on January 26, 2009 with 80 pages from Mikimoto's new manga. The manga will feature the star of the original Macross space war romance story that Mikimoto co-created, Lynn Minmay. The magazine will also feature a tentatively titled Macross Frontier: Secret Visions story from Hiroyuki Yoshino, the series script supervisor for Macross Frontier. Macross Frontier is the recent 25th anniversary television series that helped bring about a resurgence in this science-fiction franchise's popularity. Monthly Shonen Ace's Hayato Aoki (Macross Frontier manga), Monthly Comp Ace's Sorahiko Mizushima (Macross Frontier: Dakishimete, Ginga no Hate made manga) and the Sneaker Bunko imprint's Ukyō Kodachi (Macross Frontier novels) will appear in the magazine.
  5. After the concert sounds ok to me! BTW, last call.... Diamond VIP ticket ... anybody interested? It includes the entrance to AFA by the way
  6. Confirmed, she cannot make it So, I have a spare ticket that I'll pick up early tomorrow... please PM me if interested, price negotiable. And what time r we meeting on Sat? there's no consolidated schedule for AFA available is it?
  7. Damn, I guess we'll have to meet later. BTW, the friend that was going w/me to the concert might not make it, so I might have a Diamond VIP ticket available in case anyone is interested (I'll know tomorrow for sure). I don't think filming is allowed... I'm actually concerned that they might not let us in with cellphones.
  8. I agree, dinner on Sat perhaps? since May'n's concert is on Sunday evening... Haven't been to Xin Wang HK-cafe but sounds good! Phone is S'pore: 91133001

  11. From ANN: Kadokawa to Launch Macross-Related Magazine in January -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An ad in the December issue (released on November 10) of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine has announced that Kadokawa will "super dimensionally launch" a Macross-related magazine next January. Shogakukan and We've, Inc. have already been releasing Macross Chronicle, a biweekly reference publication devoted to this science-fiction romance anime franchise, since this past July. Kadokawa has been publishing Gundam Ace, a monthly manga magazine that focuses exclusively on a different robot anime franchise, since 2001. Macross has experienced a resurgence in popularity since the latest television series, Macross Frontier, aired in Japan from April to September of this year. Gakken published a Macross guide series called Macross Frontier Official File in a magazine-style book ("mook") format, although only two volumes have been published so far.
  12. Bandai and the holes they like to put in the shoulders of the Valks... First they released the VF-19k with holes in the shoulders... I expected a Sound Booster and nothing... and now this one... at least this time they will release a Pack. These crappy close-ups are from the images are from the ad, included in the last page of the Official File 2:
  13. a bit of news, from Yamato's latest newsletter... Q:1/60のVF-1D、VF-11Bはいつ頃発売ですか? A:まだ正確な時期は未定ですが、VF-1Dは来年2月頃、VF-11Bは来年春を予定し ております。 Google translate: Q: 1 / 60 of the VF-1D, VF-11B will be released around the ashes? A: we do not have yet the exact time, VF-1D in February next year, VF-11B is scheduled for next spring. I guess we should see a prototype anytime soon...
  14. Thank you for your work and for sharing! This is for the full 8GB ISO's right?
  15. Count me in... we should go to a Nyan Nyan-style place
  16. I know what you mean But I found out something that upset me... In the Mission Select Menu, next to the name of the series , it says "ALL" and below "MECHANIC". Pressing down on the analog pad (and after clicking "YES on the window that appears) changes the option to MECHANIC, and different records show: some stages are cleared, not all of them but with different ranks (and in this option, Friendly Fire is PENDING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!). Anybody knows what's this for???
  17. Hehehehe, it appears we all decided to get SS in Friendly Fire / Sad Sniper this weekend I had all stages in S / SS except an awful B in this stage. After 4 hours playing, I did basically what Omega did and it worked. Although in the last part I got lucky and my first SPA hit Brera directly, finishing him off. Perhaps what happened to Omega was that Alto got in the way of the SPA after he had killed Brera. In these 4 hours, I could get only 3 C's (when I barely made it), and an A. In all of them Alto died. So definitely Alto NEEDS to be alive to get a SS in this stage. What's needed to get Gepelnitch ? By the way, I got the cable to connect the PSP to the TV and, although the game doesn't fill the screen, it helps avoid eyestrain (and some targets look clearer). It still looks like a PSOne game though...
