Thanks! I guess we'll have several "unlockable" characters and VFs... the SV-51, VF-11 MAXL, GBP-1S are not even listed in the Official Site

I guess we'll know what's the official version of the head once Bandai releases the 1/100 BTW, I'll check today how the VF-4 looks like in the PS2 game... -

The SHE model had two different heads, why's that? all the battroid line-art I've seen has the one with the simple design. -

Bandai is promoting these as action figures: (from the Macross F Blog) トイ(コレクターズ)コーナーではVF-25のDX超合金や1/100スケールアクションフィギュア、そして旧作より「オリジン・オブ・バルキリー」シリーズを一挙展示しちゃいます! ... so I don't think they care too much of how many parts need to be swapped for transformation. -

According to the Official Blog, it appears that the DX will be on display (along with the 1/100 and the Origin of Valkyrie series) in this weekend's Chara Hobby (http://www.chara-hobby.com/) トイ(コレクターズ)コーナーではVF-25のDX超合金や1/100スケールアクションフィギュア、そして旧作より「オリジン・オブ・バルキリー」シリーズを一挙展示しちゃいます!

Correct. And the VF-X2 (and basically every PS game ported to the PSP) also has some limitations that are not so bad. The PSP has only 2 "shoulder" buttons, as compared to the PS (and PS2 and PS3) 4 shoulder buttons, so there are some functions missing. Good thing that in VF-X2 the speed and transformation options used by the shoulder buttons are cyclic, so it's just a bit complicated but still playable and enjoyable. Another plus: the small screen of the PSP makes the VF-X2 fighters look very nice hehehe

Not really. All UMDs (the discs used by the PSP) are region-free, so you can buy a PSP anywhere and play the game. But since you're already buying a PSP, there are many things you can do with a modded one. For example, I have VF-X2 on my PSP while I wait for Macross Ace Frontier

I did use a Pandora Battery. I had some options: go to the nearest electronics mall to have someone do it, or research the "how to" in the internet. But instead of trying to find which of the 1001 ways to create a Pandora Battery and "Magic Memory Stick" worked ( with the risk of spoiling more than 1 battery if I didn't do it correctly), I bought a set. Apparently there are some online retailers that sell the Battery + Stick. I found one, ordered it and in 2 weeks + 5 mins (2 week shipping time + 5 min actual installation time ) my PSP was modded. And best of all, I did it

My 2 cents: I got a PSP just to play this game (since it looks like there will be no PS3 version any time soon). But in the meantime I got some games to play.... and I must say that swapping discs to play is not so nice, especially when you're on the go. Then I found out about the software mod. And I installed it on my PSP. WOW. You can fit more than 7 games (depending on the size) on a 8 MB Memory Stick... without the need to swap anything. I think the 2000 is the best way to go. If the updates in the 3000 were a built-in Hard Disk and bluetooth, I'd definitely consider it. But it's basically the same. And as yellowlightman said, the hacked firmware might take a while to appear.

Found this in Yamato's latest newsletter, and I think somebody was asking about it: Q:旧1/60VF-1のアーマードパーツは新1/60VF-1シリーズに装着出来ますか? A:装着できる様にはなっておりません。新1/60VF-1でもアーマードパーツの販 売を企画中ですので今後の展開をお待ち下さい。 web translate: Q: Old 1 / 60 VF-1 of the new Armored 1 / 60 VF-1 series attached? A: It is like you can wear. Yup, that would be the best solution: to have another point for support for the shoulder articulation. Do the 1/48's shoulders lock somehow? edit: sp
