  1. **irrelevant news** In Maaya Sakamoto's video comment of the new single, she mentions the name as "Triangular" (http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/maaya/triangler/asx/v-01716B.asx) ... Still, on the cover of the CD it's called "Triangler". Might as well put a [sic] next to it
  2. Availability: In stock on April 29, 2008 According to Amazon Japan... strange, they usually have the items before the release date.
  3. there's a plug-in for winamp that you can download to play those files but don't worry, there are at least 3 more versions now (flac, 320kbps...)
  4. yep, in Bandai's press release for the DVD and Blu-ray it says 9 discs total BTW, Triangler is already available online ! ... in .wv format
  5. Regarding the upcoming japanese Blu-ray and DVD releases, the episode count for the first two discs is as follows: Disc 1: Episode 1. ONLY. In 2 versions. Disc 2: Episodes 2 - 4
  6. 13,440 円 according to Yamato's website...
  7. Sorry, just saw this post. It's just a list of the Macross toys that Yamato has released: http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_023/index.html
  8. Amazon Japan has the release date set for June 25th...
  9. FYI, Macross Zero will be released in a Blu-ray set, no subtitles. Includes: Macross Zero Zero and audi commentary Release date: August 22nd. SRP: 21,000 Yen
  10. And speaking of Zero... ever wondered why it wasn't re-released along with the rest of the Remastered series? Here's the answer: MACROSS ZERO Blu-ray BOX SET http://product.bandaivisual.co.jp/web_serv...em_no=BCXA-0062 To be released on August 22nd... no mention of subtitles though
  11. Thank you!! Now if we could only have some release dates...
  12. It's a newsletter in Japanese you can subscribe to. Nothing too trascendental most of the time, just some news like "the weathered edition VF-1S is limited to Japan" and stuff like that. The only important things I've found out via this newsletter are the Macross toy story pages that Yamato made some moths ago, but that's it. edit: sp
  13. According to the link that kresphy posted, and the info on CD Japan, the first DVD / Blu-ray will ONLY include episode 1 of the series in both versions... And in Amazon Japan you can already pre-order volume 2... but not volume 1
  14. more news from ANN: Bandai Visual of Japan has announced (PDF format) that it will release the ongoing Macross Frontier robot anime television series on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc starting on July 25. It also confirmed that the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 sequel series will also be released on both formats starting on August 22. The first volume of Macross Frontier on Blu-ray and DVD will contain the first episode in two versions: the preview "Deculture Edition" that aired last December, and a new complete "Yakku Deculture Edition" that will run 32 minutes. The initial pressings will also contain goods that celebrate the 50th anniversary of the fictional Nyan-Nyan Chinese restaurant chain. All pressings will come with 16 pages of liner notes and an audio commentary. The Blu-ray version will have a Linear PCM stereo soundtrack and 16:9-aspect, 1080p-resolution video. The eight remaining volumes will be released monthly starting in September. Macross Frontier marks the 25th anniversary of this science-fiction romance classic. So, it's just as Graham said... a new complete "Yakku Deculture Version"!
  15. Of course, 3 episodes per disk = 26. Wow, those are going to be some expensive disks
  16. Yep, thought so too! But.. if we deduct the time of both versions of episode 1 from the total running time of 82 mins, we're left with 23 mins. That might mean that the first DVD only includes 2 episodes... who knows what the rate of episodes per disk will be for the 8 volumes that follow. I really hope the Yakku Deculture Edition is as you mention!
  17. according to this document: http://www.bandaivisual.co.jp/pdf/2008/pr080410.pdf Macross Frontier will be released in both DVD AND Blu-ray on July 25th. Price: 5040 yen (Blu-ray), 3990 yen (DVD) Running time: 82 mins Audio: Blu-ray = linear PCM (stereo), DVD = Dolby Digital (stereo) both include lineart and both versions of Episode 1 AND... an audio commentary volume 2 will be released in September, for a total of 9. Future Blu-ray discs will cost 7350 yen, DVDs 6300 yen edit: regarding the first episode, the DVDs include the "Deculture Edition" that runs for 27 mins (the one aired in Dec) and the "Yakku Deculture Edition" (full version) that runs for 32 mins... so that means there's a THIRD version?
  18. Apparently that's the pre-order deadline. Still, it looks like it'll be released sooner than expected. Maybe they moved the date to release it before the re-re-release of Bandai's VF-1S??
  19. the new issue of Newtype will be released tomorrow... and so far no news from the guys that kindly get the scans before the mag is released
  20. One of the sponsors (for the first episode at least) is Bandai Namco Games (in addition to Bandai Visual, for obvious reasons)... if they do have a game planned, I hope it's something decent
  21. To all the seeders: THANK YOU very much... 5 hours to go BTW, the official Macross F website has been updated in the "story list" part, apparently it will be updated every time an episode airs.
