Oh sure, just blame OUR social lives for YOUR lack of skill. Just because I don't like people means there's something wrong with me.... Anyways, like previously stated, if you enjoy games as opposed to other forms of entertainment then you can easily beat games. It's not unusual for me to beat a game in 3 days, not necessarily beat every difficulty or get all gold ranks etc. Games are not made as difficult as they used to be, but they can be difficult due to poor controls and design. You can feel it and it kills your desire to go deeper into the game. And where are you guys getting the idea there will be a sequel? How many Macross-only games have had another edition? One from my memory.

I just think it's sad that Sony has again made a unit that was a player first and a game system 2nd. This time it's better because nobody had a Blu-Ray player, yet a bunch of US people had DVD players. They're going to lose their pull in the next series of consoles, and then it isn't going to be as good as this one because they can't justify throwing so much money into another one. That talk about expecting the PS3 to be around for 10 years was brilliant. But enough ranting, it is very good for Blu-Ray, haven't really got the other media stuff to work with my computer video. The extra 100-200 dollars will give you a player that'll be good for 5 years (like all consoles) as opposed to one that'll only be good for 2-3 years. You'll probably spend that 100-200 on the next budget player, yet you can get a very good player for the whole period. And if you really want to set up a decent home theater system then that'll be something to think about.

Whatever you do, hit the MUTE button when playing 8. Gosh who let HG do the dub for that?! Got to see the demo of 9, and those challenges seem slick. Good thing I don't care too much about them anymore. I guess that they geared them to the Japanese-kids-with-too-much-skill/time-on-their-hands.

Yeah I even skipped over it until I completed the other NES games to avoid that nightmare. But the 2nd time around wasn't bad at all for me.

I'm hitting up the anniversary set because I didn't beat 7 or 8 yet. It only took me one day to beat 7 though, and that's pretty typical for the others. Does it really take to much effort to get anywhere in this version? I'd want it to be something special if it's going for the retro feel with today's tech. Is there going to be a demo out for PS3? Jeez I can't keep buying games if I don't finish the ones I have...

For most of that I was thinking it was a dream sequence, because it was so corny. I was thinking they'd play it smarter, haver her do more sneak attacks. But again we have the main "heroes'" abilities to size up the obvious less than even mine. Makes that Dark Helmet sig all the more relevent to this show. But at leas they found some mechanism that gives Hiro some limitations.

A few goodies on the Virtual Console side - Super Mario RPG was released as it's 250th game, and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Part 2 is out. I'm playing thru that right now. Hopefully they'll release Earthbound soon...

Yeah, as I recall half of MW hated that stuff. They were talking about doing a few extras for the "summer" in-between seasons but with the writers strike those were quickly scrapped.

Will also played the white guy off of Wild Wild West movie adaption. I think what you mean is have characters that resemble their artists' visions of them, instead of the directors wanting to throw curveballs (hey let's make Starbuck a girl this time lol) or they want to pay for big actors instead of taking risk and throwing some no-names out there who would probably be more willing to put more into it.
