  1. Got the Dark Empire clone Palpatine and DE Luke. Both are pretty damned cool figures. The Luke needs the soft goods instead of the hard plastic flaring cape, but at least he's super articulated. The Emperor is a bit freaky with those lumpy splotches over him and looks a bit freaky without the robe, but is a damned cool figure with the robe. Release of the year so far, IMO, and there have been some cool ones.
  2. Get it. Love my YF-21, even though it's t-bar partially broke in my struggles of the first couple transformations.
  3. I'd love to get a Battle 7.
  4. Sounds like I'll be waiting for this one to hit used or markdown after a year or so.
  5. lol isn't gonna be no non-Blu-ray version. They wouldn't be able to play 95% of the games. There are maybe 2-3 games that are both optical/download. A few dozen mediocre PSN games.... BD-ROM costs Sony maybe $30 bucks per console...
  6. Is the Mk II out yet? That's the one I like...
  7. SOCOM Warhawk MGS4 Little Big Planet Heavenly Sword Super Stardust HD (PSN download) Uncharted for sure.
  8. This is starting to read like a Chuck Norris thread. Noone cares about the centaur?
  9. hopefully it will be inspired by the (Larry Hama) comic run and deadly serious. I don't want that camp from the crappy cartoon (which I despised even as a kid).
  10. Showed Kamjin my Home Bowling skills amidst some rather amusing converstion.
  11. I only have the one PS3, but what happens if I take my 320GB out of my current PS3 and just put it in another one? Would it just run or would that PS3 have to format it and then I'd have to do a restore? I am planning on a second PS3 anyway for the bedroom (if they ever come out with a silver one in North America, before I have to go and import an HK or JP satin silver!) anyways, so might find out about this myself one of these days anyway.
  12. I thought they executed some things well on the show. Other things not so much. More miss than hit, thoguh, from my perspective and a bunch of wasted opportunities. On the whole, I compare it with another show that had promise but ended up being a soap opera directed at a male demographic: The Shield. Liked it at first, but then some of the story evolutions seemed too contrived and not given enough forethought. Seems obvious the whole human-cylon thing was more a budget choice than one based on storytelling. The Final Five makes it patently obvious that this show did not have B5-style preplanned story arc and that they were making it up as they went. That smacks as cheese as bad, if not worse than the contact basketball outfits Hatch and Benedict wore.
  13. Drown RIAA and MPAA.
  14. Yeah. Also tried to condition it once, too.
  15. Ah that sux. Glad I have my original 60GB out. If I ever have trouble, I'll pull out my current 320, put the OG drive back in before I send it off and ensure I have all my music, video, and game stuff on there. Reminds me I am due to do another backup onto the USB drive, though. GL. Hope nothing ever happens to my original hardware, cause i love it and would only want another PS2BC/SACD model. At this point, i'd seriously consider trying to do a diode repair myself, maybe...
  16. macbook pro battery taking a poo on me. Says "check battery" and charge is only showing ~1300 max mah when it was in the high 4000s last month. Fortunately still on the original 1 year Applecare
  17. I still have the Action Fleet TIE Defender that I got used and open box off ebay a couple years. Have no clue where it is since I moved.
  18. Stop paraphrasing David and leaving out the qualifier he tossed out that the carriers as a symbol for the [military] power of the USA.
  19. Indeed. Which is where this image always brings it into perspective:
  20. I'd like to see all of the famous WW2 carriers "reincarnated." Yorktown, Saratoga, and Ranger could/should all come back before Enterprise (at least on the map until the current Enterprise is mothballed).
  21. I was thinking a "fool and his money" but that wasn't Barnum either (Tusser). As far as David's issue, it's not RROD so it's not covered. I would personally wait for it to RROD and wait for the replacement unit. You know it will happen eventually, since you almost certainly don't have a jasper. The one you get will be new, at least to you, and fully covered for x-period of time and you might get lucky with a Falcon or something. Unless you think you can get actually sell it for a $100, in which case it becomes the hapless purchaser's issue...
  22. Apparently it's due to the combination of 35mm and IMAX. You should probably watch it. I can spot some of the halo'ing but that's decidedly minor IMO. A bigger issue is more like DNR that was applied. In any case, I don't find it particularly egregious. Looks and sounds great, especially the IMAX portions. Could it be better? Yes. Is it horrible? Not at all.
  23. ROFL. If he was really smart the cavities in these things would be sealed with rubber and can just be hosed out. If it was me, I'd think the "base station" for these things would be a combination charger and bidet that automatically performed such "maintenance."
