The newest firmware hackupgrade lets you also do iso`s of your roms and backed up UMDs. Cool now I can take several games with me crammed on the 1gig memstick and still have room in the UMD slot for one more.

Well back in the day I worked for Bandai/Nintendo when the Snes and Gameboy just came out. Not as Glamourous as you might think. Spent all day in a work shop fixing broken customer returns listening to the same bit of Mario music played on dozens of t.v monitors, most of the staff went nuts in the end. I tranasfered to the warehouse and kept my sanity. I did get to play with the Prototypes of the Gameboy colour, bear in mind this was many years before they eventually released it due to the price of mini lcd screens. cool at the time but people soon got sick of me saying I can play that in colour at work..... I should have been more inteligent and bought up the Macross stuff they had in the warehouse. I could have retired by now. I would love to work for Takra or Hasbro, Hell at the moment I`d just settle for working in a Model shop again.

Unlike 1/55 FP which fall off on any day of the week with a y in it

Yeah they are well built on par with Joons and you can readily add Jetfire bits to them or just mod the plastic to look more Macross. They spring up on eBay too from time to time

These were also available as a bittorrent a while ago in somewhat better quaility. Does anyone know the name of the show ? I would like to find out if more are available or if it`s still shown on tv. My friend has a Tivo type thing in Tokyo and could grab em for us Im sure.

Well Im now thinking that may be I need a Phalanx too to make my 1/72 line up more complete. So John can I still get one ? My display cabs are full so Im making another one to put all my TF`s in so the space they give in the other cabs can be filled with 1/72 Macross goodness. A 1/72 CareBear in fast packs or GBP would be cool.

Yours should be right behind mine, thats if your still in blighty.

It`s great to see the leaked eBay prototypes look nothing like the film characters. Just keeping with tradtion of dumbed up and smothed over kids toys that so many Toy MF`s do. the Mega Prime looks alright Hopfully it will be available and of a good size the wheels dont look right so maybe someone will do garage based proper replacements. As for if the film does well, You kinda know that HG will jump on the bandwagon, eaither that or we will see dozens of Tf Clone movies or some such related tosh. Maybe we could get a Gundam movie that looks good ??!!

Mine arrived this morning. John How do you manage to get it from Canada to the U.K so quickly. Im still waiting on a similar sized package to arrive from London and thats only 50 miles away, they were posted on the same day. This is the First of Johns kits I have bought, and IIRC the second scratch built/ Garage kit I have ever bought. The attention to detail blew me away. Appart from a coulple of smalllish sinks/air bubbles and a bit of sprew cutting its good to go. Even the Box is awesome. I was just expecting it to be a ziplock baggie and a brown non discript box. I also liked the blue high desity foam you used to pack mine in, this will do great for someting I had planned to do (not macross) Excellent raw material. This kit is great. If your not sure if you want one or have never bought any of John`s kits then dont delay get one now. This will not be the last kit of Johns I get, Provided he dosnt just do Carebears or some other sissy stuff in future. Thanks again John

Grahams posts should come with a wealth warning. Everytime he posts I want to spend money. I suspect the Zent one will be a chase figure. It reminds me of a zent colour scheme I saw somewhere in the custom valk paint schemes on MW somewhere.

Just for the record my Fast Packs are the same as yours. I think the pictures from the booklet are of the advanced prototype. Yamato and Takara/Hasbro seem to do this a lot. Sometimes you can make out "extra" detail on the pictures that isnt on your Valk or TF. The most anoying thing is when the pictures obviously show that something has a better way of going together or that the prototype is painted and not just crappy colored plastic. The Binaltech/Alternators are great for this as the pictures on the box oftern show chromed or silvered plastic parts but when you get one they are just off grey parts instead.

New Robotech Shadow Chronicles Vid
big F replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Quite a while ago there was an original vhs of the movie on eBay I watched the auction ( I had no intention of buying it) The final price was lofty shall we say but enought that you could have bought a 1/48 and Strike pack and still had plenty of change. I remember thinking Surely it cant be worth that much. -
LOL "catastrofrak" A new word I kinda like it.
-
Maybe this thread should get pinned. For one thing it would help the new people. Another there were a few sites there I didnt know about so therefore I can assume that others are thinking the same.
-
There were other Chapters ??!! Only kidding... I bought all the Robotech dvds and remember when watching series two that I was feeling like end already.. please. Even when whatching M7 I only felt like that for a couple of episodes that were a bit pointless to the whole story. Mospeda was better but better in its original context and language. kanedaestes If you ever make a live action Macross anything you know it will be great as you`ll have all us lot as official advisors to the project. You`ll have to pick a really long track for the end credits to get all our names in though

Check the top of this thread.

Thanks I was kinda thinking I would be doing some painting at least. Hopefully they will do the Hazel`s in 1/100 some day

Well what can I add to what everyone else has said ? Keep em comming.

Yeah it aired in 1989/90 on Sky cant remember which channel. We didnt (and still dont) have Sky so all the kids at college (yup I was at college in 1989) had a lot to say about it. I had seen most of Robotech by then borrowed on vhs from Blockbuster. So when they guys started drawing Valks and Minmay on their college folders etc I know all about them. I was able to add the Macross bits for them. A few didnt even know it was Japanese, and one thought it was Transformers. Considering we are all engineers you`d think that he would know better.
