  1. You got that right Bro. Often HLJ list stuff as discontinued when they run out and have not ordered a new batch. With Yamato and Hasegawa they often get told it's discontinued by the manufacturers even when they are going to make more. I wouldn't worry the 1/48 is too much a cash cow for Yamato to drop altogether.
  2. You really have some colour co-ordination issues there David. Attention to detail is great. If it were mine I'd have just left in the brown box it came in. She knows You'd never get to Christmas day if she didn't hide it
  3. Two years from now you'll be all Valk'ed out and penniless Welcome on board
  4. Yeah I saw it in the Lego shop in Munich last month. Yup it's huge makes the old one look tiny. They had all the kits built up they are great. Nearly bough an ATAT.

    Bandai Reissues!

Yup I'd like a 1/72 Glaug. Its the only scale I'm interested in.
  6. That is very true. Especially great at Zucchini and other related Squash/marrow like veg.
  7. Sadly mine are not quite minty fresh but its nice to see stuff that is.
  8. They'd probably do quite well. CM figures are well made and actually look like the character unlike some figures for other producers.

    Bandai Reissues!

Yeah M J Fox is on the Board of Directors, and you know what car he drives. I'm going to wait until one of you guys gets one and tells us all about how good/crap it is
  10. Painting a toy and getting it to stay is the Holly grail of custom work here. The very nature of the product means that your gonna want to ply with it even if you lock it in a glass box and throw the key away. Its all got to be hard waring and also still allow the thing to move. At least with a Model you build it paint it display it and you know never to touch it as it will fall apart as soon as you do. Skull knows all about this as his daughter loves his Valks, Theres never a better road test on a toy than a little kid.
  11. I had a list for my relitives to look at and pick something. all sorts of stuff from car bits, clothes, books and Models and Toys. So far the only person that has looked at the site was my Dad and that was only after I told him That I only wanted stuff on that list. He said he didn't like any of the stuff, and had to be Pestered into just getting something. I mean FFS it's my present, He doesn't have to like it. Grumpy old git. Next year I wont bother and do what I normally end up doing, Throwing all the pointless crap and thoughtlessly chosen stuff in the trash or giving it away to charity. My family has never been any good at Christmas since I was 12 (the last year I got toys), I mean WTF does a Vegi need a Stake carving set for. Any ways Ho ho ho merry Christmas to you all. If you all were my family I'd get all the right gifts.
  12. Mmm theres something I didn't know.

    Bandai Reissues!

Plus your looking at 15 year old plus molding techniques.
  15. No harm was meant by it Skull. I just had an image kinda like a mad scientist in his bunker developing a dooms day weapon. "Hah ha I will get this 1/55 Valk gun hybrid to fly Hahaha !! " Now what color shall I paint it" It's just my mad English sense of humor I can understand the need for guns. Yes they are fun tools and obviously they have a darker side to them as well. I have had some good times on the firing range and clay shooting. The fact that they are largely outlawed in the U.K doesn't stop the criminals from having them and that kinda taints them. In the U.K the right to defend is utter crap. At least in the U.S if someone attacks you it's OK to use force to defend yourself. I got my mum to carry a can of mace but under U.K law it is technically a deadly weapon and she should have a permit or licence for it. If she had to use it say against a rapist then he/the goverment can sue her for GBH and it's irelevent that she was defending herself. I'd sooner teach her to use a gun and just shoot the guy in the leg but under our dumbass laws she'd do time just for owning the gun without shooting anyone. Remember kids "guns don't kill people. People do"
  16. Theres a side of you I didn't know about.
  17. The only way the seal will work is if they seal it with something that you cant get off the shelves at your Local Newsagents. Crappy cheap tape can be replicated. Plain old glue on the box tabs can be replicated. it has got to be a holoseal or some sort of special heatshrink wrap. There is something to be said about using an exacto knife on a fresh sealed box though regardless on if the contents is Macross or not.
  18. his Blue Angels build is also very nice.
  19. Not sure about the picnic table bolted on the back. I still think that it looks like something Michael Bay rejected for TF's Set guy " OK Michael how bout this Barricade in black" M Bay " mmm......Na looks like that campy talking car from Knight Rider" Set Guy " Yeah ... you're right well keep it as we can make that next year" M Bay "mmmmm"
  20. Yeah he's a busy guy but his work is good. Kurt may be up for it but IIRC he has a back log of commissions.
  21. Smaller boxes would help. You then don't need an X Files sized warehouse to store em in.
  22. Well no HD for me then.
  23. Never really considered it on my Taka but he's only been out twice in three years since I had it and prior to that no more than a hand full of times.
