They’ll just ban me when they find out. But I won’t need them anymore at that point.
-
I'll handle quality control with all the prototypes, first and random factory runs sent to me. I'll also handle PR when people start complaining about delays and shipments.

Nice pic! -
@sqidd, new CEO of Arcadia? Hmmmm
-
AE has always had an “indefinite private warehouse”. I’ve had items sit with them for over a year.

Yamato: Any of the Low-Vis/Stealth 1/48 VF-1s. Arcadia: VF-0S. PF SDF-1 for non-Valk entry. Bandai: DX VF-1...I'll go with the Max 1A since it's Max. These are also my favorites because I like the best!

Yeah, I took a hiatus for a while so I missed a lot and I have a policy of not going back on anything I missed if I couldn't find or order it myself at retail unless I find deals that I can't pass up (thanks Mandarake!). Yeah, there is no way I could display everything I had unless I open a museum (something that has been discussed and would love to do someday). I did add another policy of not buying anything I don't plan to open and display but I haven't been able to keep up with that rule and it doesn't apply to duplicates...which puts me deeper into my situation of having more stuff than I can deal with. Those displays by @tekering and others are incredible though. I think @Kicker773 might just have the title of top dog from what I've seen as far as pure quantity.

Yeah, before the DX VF-1 came out, I was always saying the Arcadia 0S was the best Valk toy ever made. I still think it's a tossup in some areas but objectively, must say the DX has a slight edge. With PF treatment, the 0D will have a significant edge in the finish department but either way, more awesome toys for me is a great thing and I don't need to worry about which one is better because I will have them all!

Haha, thanks @DYRL VF-1S and sorry, I’m just going to respond to this. I said exactly the same thing about there not being proof either way, which is why none of us “need” to keep hearing about the same accusations over and over again. As long as these threads get interrupted with negative posts about a place that I’ve used hundreds of times with all positive results, I’m going to share it because there are always new eyes on these forums. Now, the situation with some European customers seems unfortunate but I have no idea about that because I don’t live in Europe so it’s great if people who do want to talk about that in the thread @DYRL VF-1S made. I’ve had bad experiences with other shops and guess what?...I don’t use them anymore and I don’t mention them unless people specifically ask about them. When I do answer about them, I just give the facts about what happened in my experience and leave it up to the person who asked to decide if they want to go with them or not. Now, can we kindly just sit back and wait for this to be released so we can see some pictures and talk about the figure? Thanks!

Lol! I ordered 3 VF-4s from NY and they shipped before any of the other main shops even requested payment. Shrug. Yeah, it sucks.
-
Always these conspiracy theories against NY. It is normal operating procedure for them to ask for payment about a month before release. That’s when they requested payment for this, as usual. As for the delay announcement that came after they asked for payment, you can speculate if they knew it was coming or not but I think some people think these businesses have a lot more time to deal with these minor scams than it’s worth. I don’t like paying early for anything either but I have no problem when it sometimes happens.
-
Yeah, that would be sweet. I'm not going to buy another Calibre...I'm "happy" with just the one I have.
-
I wouldn't pass on M&M, they are fantastic. No issues on either of my head lasers but if it was a concern, nothing a little Future or other acrylic polish can't fix easily.
-
LOL, welcome back @LRS! Always great to have get back into this hobby and see where it takes you from your initial thoughts to reality. Share some pics when you get your new stuff!

Somewhere in the middle exists. It’s Arcadia.

Takatoku 1/100 transformable Valk figures. I didn’t mean you need the exact SSP Roy version in the link that apparently only a few exist in the world but a standard Roy would do. It is a shitty but extremely fun toy that had perfect transformation although some forms looked far from perfect, lol!

Haha, these are toys so playability is a big part of evolution, imo. BTW, I’m a bit offended that you mention that “no collection is complete” without the rare item you linked to. That means basically no one’s collection is or can ever be complete. But then again, that is always the case when it comes to collecting Valks.
-
I say it’s an evolution when it comes to playability because I had that thing with me everywhere as a kid. The 1/55 is the best toy ever imo but that little POS involved imagination and again, I transformed that thing hundreds of times a day everywhere I went. And I don’t mean he has to have one of the few in existence for the display but at least some version of the Roy like the one I have.

While the DX VF-1 is the overall best VF-1 ever made, I feel it doesn’t match up to the Yamato 1/48 and especially V2 1/60’s in a level of feel and refinement. The V2s just feel like a different kind of precision and quality toy compared to the typical figures that Bandai does. It’s hard to describe but visually, it comes down to something as simple as how cleanly and precisely the arms line up in fighter mode and wings fold in Battroid mode. Something that Bandai can’t seem to get on the DX. That being said, the DX is more detailed, robust and solid feeling compared to the Yamato 1/48. For me, I love them all for different reasons and if you have all the Yamato 1/48 you want decos of, you may want to get a DX just to have one to experience. For me, my Yamato 1/48 is focused on the non-cannon decos (all the low vis) that I’m quite sure Bandai will never make. I’ll get most the standard decos that DX comes out with.

I still think you need the HMR and one of these

Haha, who me? Congrats on some nice pickups! If I had pics of my SV-262 with Super Parts, I’d totally use them to try to convince you to get those too. -
Nice work @VF22fan! If I had the time to do that, I’d love to try too.

Overall, it looks good but you do have the whole, bunch of highly articulated figures just standing straight thing going on that I dislike. Your overall problem is a problem a lot of us have. I’m so deep in stuff, my entire hobby room and garage is full of boxes and I can’t see anything on display except the one shelf I shared above.

What part are you ashamed of? That you couldn’t fit more in there?

Yes, they only have Japnese customers and they get charged shipping.
