    Recasting of the voice actors has been announced: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-05-10/production-i.g-new-legend-of-the-galactic-heroes-anime-recasts-main-characters/.115900 Maybe Sentai should have waited to license this newer one? I'm not too hopeful about the remake, I kind of like the old voice actors, they seemed really appropriate. It is only the prospect of updated animation that excites me. On the novel front, volume 3 is out. Volume 4 will be out June 20. I might just order those two when June comes. If only Amazon had a PW-like function, I would have wanted to ship them with my Valerian comic preorder.

    Which movie? I really don't remember. If it looked good on the Major in the anime unfortunately didn't look good on ScarJo. I would have preferred if she wore it more (or some other stylish jacket) instead of that other jacket.

    I hate that jacket of hers. Anybody know what inspired them to make that? I would have settled for at least the red jacket from Arise even if I didn't like that series.

    Soundtrack was meh. I liked how the movie ended. and I liked the villain here better than the first one. Though on the funny scale i liked the first movie a bit more...still a good sequel.

    Those are exceptions. What about the other movies? I am tired of getting disappointed. So far casting has been OK but the story side has mostly been meh (except for those you mentioned). Anyway maybe I should stop reading this thread as it makes my blood boil just thinking what could have been if Marvel Studios were making the Xmen movies...

    I cannot have all the toys that I want because I cannot afford it all. Acceptance of this fact is key to contentment but yes, it's still hard. And I am reminded that I am fortunate to be able to buy these toys every time I see a beggar or a homeless person on the street. I love Macross and as long as the quality of the future shows don't dip below Delta I am OK with that. If they do go below then I have SDF Macross and Macross Frontier series to fall back on. There are other better things/hobbies we can spend our time on than anime/toys we don't like. So yeah it's still worth it (at least the stuff I can afford).
