  1. The story here has more grounded characters than some of the other more ridiculous anime like death note, so it probably won’t be as hard to watch, but even if it’s a great show it’s always gonna end up compared to one of the greatest anime series to have ever been made. I do still have faith in this and curious about that Gundam one as well
  2. He was definitely entertaining and somehow got himself fired a lot. I did love many of his characters from Burt Reynolds on snl to death on family guy
  3. The only thing I remember from Buffy was as that weird Pee Wee scene when he got injured
  4. Yeah, I don’t think it’s quite as fun to change this to the movies we would leave behind. That should be another thread for an angrier site. The fun about this thread is more about finding those that agree with your decision and the sometimes surprising choices others make. We all have our favorites and some of us have picked some strange and visionary and sometimes silly films as their final choice
  5. Just saw it and we loved it. I actually was surprised that it’s one of the better marvel films. The action was fun and I liked the characters. I really loved the different scene locations everything looked so different from one place to another. The only complaint that I have is about the bamboo forest, but that feels really nitpicky for an otherwise great film
  6. The matrix for movie goers was a quick fad that was the star wars of the adhd generation. It was quickly forgotten by filmgoers, but filmmakers are still riding the style of filming and probably will for a while
  7. I thought it was a fun episode. Although a new issue I’m having is trying to figure out the characters. I didn’t catch on that that was Happy until I saw the glove. It was hard to tell that he was older than Spider-Man the way he was drawn.
  8. I remember thinking the same thing after watching Godzilla vs Bambi for the first time
  9. Everything is looking really good on that little army
  10. The movie came off as goofy and only slightly creepy
  11. That would be a tough choice. I grew up thinking that was the proper music, but I like all the extras in the other version. The chair scene was so creepy, no wonder she didn’t want to sit there.
  12. The Eddie Murphy movie was an ok kids film, but it wasn’t very entertaining for me.
  13. Yeah, his upper body is massive, he probably can’t even see his feet
  14. That’s a tough one. I’m torn between classics like Die Hard, the first Indy and og Ghostbusters or a couple of newer ones like The Suicide Squad or Scott Pilgrim. I’d probably be so bored if I could only pick one movie for the rest of my life. At least I can listen to music and watch whatever tv shows. It’s too bad it’s not by franchise, because I’d probably roll with the mcu since there’s such a large amount of films there and not a lot of part three fizzle. I guess if there can be only one, I might just go with Scott Pilgrim just because it has humor and romance and crazy imagination and a great use of sound. It may also be the most faithful comic book movie ever and it’s easy to watch more than once, but it is a tough decision
  15. Oz wasn’t for me either. I’ve never been too interested in prison stories and then add booty rape, I’m out
  16. The one problem I’m having with this series is that every episode leaves on a depressing end. It would be interesting if once in a while a simple change made things better once in a while instead of disaster after disaster.
  17. I don’t try to compre the reboot since other than name and the fact that the main character was a cop, they’re almost completely different. I think Keaton made for a great modern bad guy. He’s that rich guy that tries to stay up to date, but doesn’t understand that he’s the bad guy. The old version everyone knew who was good and who was bad and just didn’t care. Human lives were so meaningless that if the bad guy had to accomplish something, it didn’t matter who died to get what they needed. And the good guys seemed only slightly better. If they were bad they got killed even if they really couldn’t put up a fight against Robocop, he still put a few bullets in them and rarely arrested anyone. I do prefer the original and think it’s an awkwardly perfect movie that shouldn’t have been rebooted at all, but it was. To me the reboot works if you disconnect your ideas of the original and think of it as it’s own thing. The reboot had some really great ideas and concepts, but it’s definitely not what people wanted
  18. Yeah, I remember watching the old clash of the titans and there’s a bit of bloody combat and a surprising amount of nudity in a pg film. Those standards should probably be updated, but there’s a part of me that loves seeing such soft ratings marked on them. 80’s through the 90’s were really harsh on films, but a lot of R rated films today would have probably gotten an X rating a couple decades ago. Robocop almost had the X for a few seconds of extra gore oddly enough
  19. It may have just been odd coloring on the videos I watched, but I remember it being a forest green rather than a drab green, but I’m getting old and I don’t trust my memory as much as used to
