  1. I saw the film last night. It actually angered my girlfriend and now I don’t think she trusts my movie judgment. It’s definitely not a film for everyone. I saw the last star wars movie and nobody seemed to walk out for more than a restroom break, but this one actually had half of the theater walk out before the half way point and by the end only six of us were left from a half crowded room. Some left so late that I don’t think they’ll get their money back, but if they have the same attitude as my girlfriend they’re probably just happy to go home. It’s a very visual movie with some very interesting scenery and some very strange things to watch for. There’s a lot going on but not a lot happening and I think overall it works as a fable, but not so much as a movie that anyone needs to spend money on. I think there’s going to be some very different opinions from anyone who does go and watch it though. I don’t think it’s one that I ever need to watch again
  2. I’m very curious about how this is going to go. It doesn’t seem to be a simple decision and this could affect some upcoming films. There’s Shang Chi for the mouse and as far as HBO Max they’re doing free non premium releases of Suicide Squad and Dune. Dune is going to be very reliant on the money it brings in to even be able to green light a sequel to the franchise. We may just get the one film and that’s it.
  3. I think this kind of lawsuit may become more common since a lot of people watched movies on HBO Max for the subscription cost and didn’t pay an extra $30 something. I don’t know much about those contracts, but the people who made a lot of those movies may have been screwed over in similar or even worse ways.
  4. Another company doing G.I. Joe. This is almost too much. Although I have a feeling that I will like these far more than the other companies, but I’ll wait to see them first
  5. This situation is a bit different than what’s going on with the nightingale. This one is a web exclusive going through markups at proxy sites and retailers. The other one was just a standard release that will definitely get re released. There’s definitely gonna be some people paying way too much, but if you’re gonna overpay at least do it for a rare item
  6. It’s more like Husband “I’m in the mood.” Wife “I have a headache.” Husband ”That’s alright, I have something to do in the barn.”
  7. I had an odd experience with one of those fuchikimas in the old video game. I accidentally stuck myself to a column and tried climbing up and the screen just violently rolled and I thought I was gonna lose my lunch
  8. That’s actually a pretty cool little character set. More mecha anime should have stuff like this.
  9. The Vietnam thing was probably due to 80’s characters from all genres were somehow involved. From G.I. Joe to Rambo to the A-Team and even Magnum- PI. They probably wanted to modernize the character, but they oddly decided not to give him a military background at all.
  10. So I finally finished the show, or at least the available episodes. I think everyone saying there is some kinda woke political agenda is really just try to justify their own political agendas. This show is far to simple for any of that. I don’t think this show is great and really isn’t worth the time if you think any of other people’s complaints would resonate with you. The real problems come mostly out of directing and casting of the voice actors. The writing is weak as well and the animation is kinda choppy. It’s a kids show with h slightly more violence and language that makes it not quite mature enough for teens and maybe too mature for children. The real problem with the Teela character isn’t just her voice, she seems written by a nerdy dude that thinks that’s how a female character is supposed to be. It’s like The writing for female characters in Zeta gundam. Or most Gundam. I don’t think it’s political at all, just kinda on the stupid side. Overall the last couple episodes aren’t as bad as the first three. There’s potential, but I’ll keep my hopes low and maybe I’ll be surprised by the upcoming second part
  11. In the future everything will be Taco Bell.
  12. I wasn’t that into Slipknot, but I liked the Murder Dolls and if I remember he played guitar with them but I may be mistaken
  13. I’m surrounded by del tacos, but no Taco Bell close enough to avoid soggy tacos by the time I get home. For me when I did go, it was the Doritos tacos
  14. I saw the above referring to the ps5 problem and to be honest, I have to thank the scalpers. If they didn’t make it so difficult to get the new system I probably would still be stuck playing video games all day. I actually gave up completely on them and I really feel much happier. I’ve been guilty of buying some items from resellers at collectors shows here and there, but mostly for items I didn’t have the money to buy when they were originally released. I do have my limits on price and I will not go above and beyond for most items. I think the example right now has been the hg nightingale kit. It’s a damn hg kit. There’s only gonna be a temporary shortage. That kit is gonna get more rereleases just like every other main kit from Bandai that sells well, like the mg Barbados. Now you can find that kit at just about anywhere
  15. I’d like to see more of The Gatchaman figure before making a decision
  16. Just because Teela is currently the main character doesn’t necessarily make this a woke agenda cartoon. It’s a change up for sure, but it’s really not that big a deal. To be honest He Man is kinda a boring character anyway. He’s a kids cartoon hero that can never do wrong and has no real flaws other than being weak in his normal life. He’s overpowered and kinda boring. I don’t hate him, but I don’t mind a refocus.
  17. Even in the old cartoon we were introduced to him as the guy that got stuck behind the wall while a radioactive gas flooded his escape route and he still finished the job by escaping the caves and a giant bear while glowing from the radiation. That’s the kind of character I wanted to see, instead of the a-hole we got in the movie.
  18. The green knight is all about stoner humor. It’s like a prequel to your highness.
  19. Nice. He needs a cartoon too. I saw the one on YouTube and enjoyed it. I would like to see a great animated series for Dredd with a wild style of animation. It looks like they are going with the comic designs on these figures.
  20. I really don’t feel that the shift in characters was a bad thing. Smith said over a month ago that this would focus on a female character and I think he even named Teela. Honestly I like the change. My problem is the writing and the voices. I’ll probably finish the show soon and have more to judge. But I don’t think it’s a show to really go out of your way to watch and isn’t necessarily deserving of absolute hate.
  21. A real scale castle grey skull would be bigger than a sofa and just be an absolute nightmare in an 80’s satanic panic era parents living room.
  22. As far as I can remember, for his original origin he was a special ops soldier back in the Vietnam war that had an accident with explosives that messed up his face and vocal chords. He had plastic surgery but still had some scaring and couldn’t talk anymore. As far as the new one, he’s just the worst person ever. This movie suffers from being attached to an existing franchise. If this were a stand alone movie that removed everything about G.I. Joe, this would have been a good film. It’s kinda like how if Solo wasn’t about Solo or any other established characters, it would have been far more enjoyable. The Joe stuff is everything that doesn’t work in this movie. The action scenes are cheesy, but not bad and most of the training stuff is fun other than the weird snake stuff. Overall I’m surprised that I didn’t hate this blasphemous movie.
  23. I’m happy with the animated series. I think a love action one would’ve just been lost in the shuffle. As far as a movie, it does have potential
