  1. I think there’s something odd about the white. I haven’t had too many problems with the grey. I used too have all kinds of problems with enamel paints not sticking to anything. I personally like lacquer ones the best and luckily they’re getting easier to find. Maybe try mixing the tamiya paint with me leveling thinner instead of water or their thinner and that may give a little more bite to the paint on the primer
  2. I’ve personally never had good luck with the white. I do like their polyester putty, but that stuff is really getting hard to get a hold of. I was shopping online for some since I’m about halfway down an old tube and hobby king was offering it for $1.99. I got excited and went to preorder and the site notified me that they can’t ship it from their Hong King warehouse.
  3. I would absolutely love that idea. Give me articulated enemy soldiers in that cool armor and I would be the happiest bastard. It would be great standing next to any of the pods, power armors or even a gnerl. And speaking of gnerl, that seams like such a simple cool kit to go with the series
  4. I really like the Bandai kits
  5. They really got into the exhaust detail
  6. I’m glad it’s doing well. If the demand is there then there’s more to come. The part separation and colors are neat, but there’s definitely gonna be some work for those that don’t like seam lines. Still can’t wait to see more pictures and definitely want to see how much this thing can pose. I also like that it has a lot of clear parts for the sensors
  7. Some of this trading kits are tough to get the one thing you really want. The sellers often don’t want to open them for collector values and others are trying to dump their entire stock and only sell the full case. You could try eBay, and see if any seller has some opened.

I’ve recently been building one of the power armors for Star ship troopers that wave put out. And I had seen a meme picture on the images of a cross between that and a tomahawk and now I’m looking at that above picture and I can see that there are so many similarities in the designs between the two, like the joints and the head
  9. I think the lack of rivets is probably since those things were made using large automated factories without the idea of repair, that they would be just slap welded without bolts, screws or even rivets or possibly any major maintenance hatches or panels. I think the most maintenance they did was to make sure they had fuel and ammo, but maybe they only worried about ammo. If there would be rivets or bolts it’s possible that they would actually be massive and few and far between due to their size. Realistically for their size it may be more like a car body where they don’t show, but I’m not a giant alien mechanic
  10. They do have size measurements in the description at most of the sites offering it. The body does look a little thin from the drawing shown, but it’s not enough to bug me. I will probably reserve my judgment until I see a full build or at least the prototype built up. I think the thing I’m still most curious about is how they’re gonna handle the knee joints. That’s always been a point of compromise between looking like the line art and poseability
  11. The d1 kit is up for preorder. Got mine from bbts
  12. I remember back when hasegawa first did macross vf 1 fighter kits and said to myself, they probably won’t do the battroid mode. Years later they’ve done all three modes super strike and an upcoming armor pack and for some reason I doubted any enemy mecha, now I’m really hopeful for more and maybe some destroids as well. I don’t even know where I would put a 1/72 monster, but I still want one
  13. I got mine at hobby search. That sale price for a couple will make up for the shipping. I honestly didn’t think a 1/72 modern kit for the regult would be that inexpensive. I guess they save on cost by not having arms
  14. $21 bucks not bad just hoping the knees have some articulation.
  15. Saw it and instantly preordered. Just couldn’t resist and hoping for more enemies. Wave took care of a couple of destroids, maybe hasegawa is getting more brave. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for macross model kits
  16. Transition to amplify, maybe. I don’t really know and never thought to question it. It’s like why is the gelgoog named that or most of the evil mobile suits . I think I heard Zaku was a marching in unison sound gouf was a running sound and dom was a heavy stomp, but I don’t really know. Gundam is weird

I have this weird feeling that if it’s not a double pack then one of them will be put off for a while and possibly forgotten altogether. So double pack for me

Finish the destroids, then give m the baddies next.
  19. I didn’t realize the orange parts on the shield were metallic until those later pictures. They reflect the light at odd angles. Personally I’d be worried about knocking that thing over. Maybe ding a large case to keep those pointy bits from snagging anything.
  20. I hope it’s an easy fix

Abs glue may work on the snapped gun

Might be a really good idea to get two, just in case the possible armor just ends up being an add on pack. More than likely it will be included with one in a future release
  23. There are a few stores offering extras on top of discounts for anyone that held out this long. USA gundam store was offering a package with hobby supplies and decals along with an entrance for a drawing for model kits for anyone spending over $150
  24. Wave does like to do reissues with extra parts. The Votoms kits all have had second releases and the starship troopers have had a couple. One command type and another that had chemical warfare equipment
  25. The last three look like they’re all on the same team. Didn’t know jack joined them
