    There's also the Dragon Momoko kit that recently came out, if you're willing to build it yourself. I should be getting mine in soon-ish, so if you want I'll post some pics of an unpainted build so you can see what you're getting with the minimum amount of effort. I think Kuma Style is right on this one; I don't remember the WPP being a "canon" equipment setup, either. Personally, I think they added it just to appease the fans who get surprisingly irate about even the slightest bit of asymmetry. I still remember the amount of crap-tossing people did about the Quanta "ruining" the 00's "perfect symmetry"...

    Well, isn't the Switch hardware slightly underpowered even compared to the base Xbox One, the weaker of the two consoles? Plus its ARM architecture is different from the x86 of consoles and PCs. Porting would probably be a very intensive and expensive endeavor on its own, to say nothing of code optimization and platform-specific bug fixing... That said, it would be frickin' lovely if Square brought its Android ports to Switch. The World Ends With You can't be released on enough platforms.

    Eh, I think it's perfectly decent. It's not nearly up to the same level of quality as Rockstar's internal dev teams, but it does some interesting things. I agree though that, on its own merits, it doesn't warrant a re-release on modern hardware. For better or worse, it's enough a part of the zeitgeist that a re-release will probably be an easy profit.

    Oh, no arguments here. Thinking on it more, I think I was just surprised. I had thought the Exia remained more or less the same from release to release. A 40% reduction in size was... unexpected.

    I'd have felt pretty damned uncomfortable myself at that same scene if I'd brought my nephews with. That guy, just... wow. Your little summary of events makes me think he'd have fit right in with a certain group of people in that movie. It boggles my mind how lever-actions 1) were never adopted by either the Union or Confederacy, or heck even going into WWI, and 2) ever went out of style.

    Ah, well, either way, comparing the MB to the MG, the MG's feet are definitely proportionally larger than the MB's. (stealing the pic from http://gundambeginner.blogspot.com/2013/04/mg-exia-vs-mb-exia.html ) The blog post makes the point that the feet are roughly 40% smaller than their Master Grade counterpart. That is INSANE. I hope the Dragon Momoko kit I bought doesn't share that...

    Well, I always thought the Exia's feet were of fairly average size. Certainly decent enough for its design as to not be noticeable. So I do wonder if this instance is one of again the camera and slant of the feet playing tricks on my eyes or if they actually are that size, since other pics of the figure don't make them look out of step with other renditions (HG/MG/RG kits, Robot Damashii figures, etc.)

    Huh, now that you've pointed it out I can't ignore it. They do look small, but that might just be due to the camera angle and the slant of the feet. I don't remember the promo pics with the Dash parts having small feet like that.

    Wouldn't this belong in the Anime/Sci-Fi section? I don't remember this in Macross... Maybe it's time for another rewatch.

    The development of LA Noire was notoriously strenuous. The game's director was damn near a slave driver, demanding long hours of his staff and making unreasonable demands of the game designers. The game is set in a sandbox like GTA, but is an entirely linear story-driven experience. The final product is good, but not good enough to reflect or justify all the trouble that went into it. I believe the director has largely been ostracized from the gaming community because of his treatment of his staff.

    Oh, Reina was fine. And I mean, leveling that criticism at her is kind of like calling one saltine cracker out of a package dry and bland. I like that she's grabbed Chuck's glasses to play around with while they're still attached to him. And the fact that he's totally comfortable with it is cute, too. I'm not surprised, though I don't see her being able to be legit polyamorous with them, ie sustaining a meaningful romantic relationship with both of them. And I would seriously hope - and I've said this before, I know, but I still stand by it - that she doesn't end up with Hayate at all, at least not with the specter of Freyja hanging over whatever relationship they might have. Trust me, no one wants to switch up the pairings more than I do (and I wouldn't even want to thrust her upon Messer because the creep factor surrounding her is just... unclean), but just from appearances, they look like the mom and dad of the group. No, you know the writers were super angling for that whole "broody a-hole with a heart of gold who actually fights tooth and nail to protect the woman he loves and the girl who draws out his emotions and saves him through the power of love" BS. Because that's "romantic." And judging by all the fan art of these two, they succeeded. frakk that. I still get irrationally angry that they just completely dropped the Kaname/Arad subplot (that is to say, not more so than I get about all the other interesting story threads they dropped), because THAT one actually had some teeth and looked to be going somewhere. Did something actually come of that? I seem to remember her crying after his death, with the implication being that they had actually had something going on off-screen.

    Not gonna lie, I'm kinda digging the romantic implications here... Putting aside the age difference that otherwise creeps the pairing out of existence, Reina and Chuck don't look bad together. Mirage looks like she's about to embark on a wild menage-a-trois binge with both Hayate and Freyja AND Makina and Reina. And Arad and Mikumo top it off as the "mature" pairing of the group. I'll just pretend that final couple doesn't exist. (Which is easy to do because it doesn't OHHHHHH)

    Does anyone have any information about this Asuka Langley figure? The Ebay info I could find says: - 1/6 scale - PVC? - made by Hobby Japan(? I thought they were a magazine...) - My search terms had to include "Evangelion Q" for this figure to even show up in the results - also Asuka Shikinami Langley, not Soryu - 2007? - WonFes exclusive? EDIT: But I can't confirm any of that info.

    Movie stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen (aka Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch) as a Fish and Wildlife tracker and rookie FBI agent, respectively, who team up to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. I saw it last week, and just wanted to say that it's the first movie of the summer that I've left feeling satisfied and thinking, "Yep. That was just an all-around good, well-made movie." You should see it. You'd probably enjoy it.

    So I'm looking up reference pictures (I finally know what I want to do with my YF-29!), and during the final cast shot at the end of The Wings of Goodbye, there are some seemingly random characters. Anyone know if they have names?
