  1. I didn't know there was a fifth ninja turtle! Which Renaissance artist is he named after? He's got some wolverine style cat claws.
  2. @Shawn wow you must have a math degree! Sometimes, it's hard to reconcile these crazy prices we see with these releases, but damn, they're the same old prices. We only forgot to adjust for inflation.
  3. @Ignacio Ocamica I can't get over the size of that thing! It's a gargantuan beast!
  4. Looks like the armored valk has reached "Order Stop" status at HLJ. .
  5. @Ignacio Ocamica That is an amazing level of detail on those! Can't wait to see how it looks painted with all those details brought to life!
  6. I would imagine the hands, forearms, and elbow area would also show significant signs of wear. It wouldn't be as pronounced as on the feet but significant nonetheless. Those feet look great!
  7. I think @wm cheng means this one: http://www.macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/dragonii.htm It's the plane Roy flies during the unification wars.
  8. @Froy From your picture, I think I much prefer the Bandai armor color to the Yamato one. Wow what a difference!
  9. Whoa! What is this thing being hoisted above the Valk? I've never seen something like that.

    Box Art Library

That Black Aces kit box top is getting cut out and framed on day one! I like the 72nd scale picture better but this one will be big enough to have a nice presence on the wall. Tenjin did a great job once again!
  11. I only ordered 2! Wow, should I up my order to 4? All joking aside, that box art looks amazing! I don't care for that large red font though.
  12. @peter It's great to see you posting again! @wm cheng Beautiful work, as always! Loving the tub on that Eagle! Also, I'm really enjoying the Foundation series so far. What is it that you do for the show? @derex3592 Your Q-Rau is looking very nice so far! If you're worried about using really old decals, I recommend the the decal film pictured. It works really well. I used it on my old battroid build a while back where the decals were falling apart as soon as I got them wet.
  13. I believe you that there will be a glut but what is the reasoning behind your statement?
  14. I've been looking for a 1/3000 SDF-1 for ages and ages! I got one for christmas as a kid but it didn't survive childhood. I've never been able to find one for a reasonable price.
  15. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/89872 There's a preorder available for the Bandai Chogokin GX-71 Voltron Reissue at BBTS. It'll release soon.
  16. They're secretly working on its development and will be released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the SDFM series premiere. You heard it here first!
  17. @pengbuzz You have a real good eye for proportions. Your Cat's Eye is looking just the right shape so far!
  18. A member here built the Arii 1/72 Glaug.
  19. I'm planning on starting something soon. I still have to decide what I'm going to build. I'm excited to see what everyone else enters into the contest.
  20. I'm not sure if this qualifies but here goes... This is an amazing wool valk in gerwalk mode!
  21. I'd like to enter. I think I'll set up a FB account first though. The Cap mentioned he prefers we post there. Then I have to get to actually choosing which kit I want to build and enter. It's an involved process and I'm barely at the 'thinking about thinking about entering' phase. I think, in order to win, you would need to do more than build a kit. I think it requires maybe a vignette or small diorama. So, I think it'll be quite an involved commitment to beat the deadline. This contest is just what I needed to motivate me to build something better than I've been building lately.
  22. Whatever it is, I'm in.
  23. @Urashiman Nice VT-1! Keep us updated on the build! @electric indigo Nice job on that Siren kit. She looks just about finished. @007-vf1 wow, didn't know you could sculpt! The Breetai and Exedol will make for a nice diorama. @pengbuzz elevator engineering is impressive. I don't know how you guys do all this electronic stuff. @MechTech I agree with you on the over-weathering. Sometimes I see builds with every square millimeter covered with some sort of rust, chipping, or weathering and it just doesn't look convincing. Those manipulators look great. Your project is coming along nicely. I just finished this big girl. Started over well over a decade ago but, hey, at least she's done!
  24. Wow, that is some really nice detail work! Seems like it was a laborious process but I bet it'll look amazing all painted up. I agree with your sentiment about not overdoing it. Sometimes you just gotta "get 'er done"! A little bit more progress on the battroid and I finished the 1D.
  25. Thanks @MechTech. I want to get into fabricating parts like you. What's the absolute minimum set of equipment to get started? I'm thinking a set of very small lathe, table saw, and drill press would do it? I dunno...
