  1. They're secretly working on its development and will be released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the SDFM series premiere. You heard it here first!
  2. @pengbuzz You have a real good eye for proportions. Your Cat's Eye is looking just the right shape so far!
  3. A member here built the Arii 1/72 Glaug.
  4. I'm planning on starting something soon. I still have to decide what I'm going to build. I'm excited to see what everyone else enters into the contest.
  5. I'm not sure if this qualifies but here goes... This is an amazing wool valk in gerwalk mode!
  6. I'd like to enter. I think I'll set up a FB account first though. The Cap mentioned he prefers we post there. Then I have to get to actually choosing which kit I want to build and enter. It's an involved process and I'm barely at the 'thinking about thinking about entering' phase. I think, in order to win, you would need to do more than build a kit. I think it requires maybe a vignette or small diorama. So, I think it'll be quite an involved commitment to beat the deadline. This contest is just what I needed to motivate me to build something better than I've been building lately.
  7. @Urashiman Nice VT-1! Keep us updated on the build! @electric indigo Nice job on that Siren kit. She looks just about finished. @007-vf1 wow, didn't know you could sculpt! The Breetai and Exedol will make for a nice diorama. @pengbuzz elevator engineering is impressive. I don't know how you guys do all this electronic stuff. @MechTech I agree with you on the over-weathering. Sometimes I see builds with every square millimeter covered with some sort of rust, chipping, or weathering and it just doesn't look convincing. Those manipulators look great. Your project is coming along nicely. I just finished this big girl. Started over well over a decade ago but, hey, at least she's done!
  8. Wow, that is some really nice detail work! Seems like it was a laborious process but I bet it'll look amazing all painted up. I agree with your sentiment about not overdoing it. Sometimes you just gotta "get 'er done"! A little bit more progress on the battroid and I finished the 1D.
  9. Thanks @MechTech. I want to get into fabricating parts like you. What's the absolute minimum set of equipment to get started? I'm thinking a set of very small lathe, table saw, and drill press would do it? I dunno...
  10. I'm working on the battroid still. Also, I built a small 1D fighter in the meantime. Just need to paint the lights.
  11. I've been patching up my old kits lately, too. Trying to match paint is tricky! Good luck! @arbit that 3D figure looks amazing. The whole process seems very complicated. Very impressive.
  12. @peter Good luck on the next Star Trek build! @electric indigo Your build looks super clean. It's coming out great! Currently decaling the big boy...
  13. Hey be careful with that electricity stuff! @derex3592 Awesome! A Q-Rau build! I recently picked that one up when they last re-popped it. I'm excited to build it. Please keep us updated on your progress. There's a guy on YouTube that built it and articulated the pilot figure. https://youtu.be/pwdCyVpZ5j0 So I've put a freeze on all new builds until I clear out some of my extensive backlog of unfinished kits. I started this VF-0 well over a decade ago. I began work on the leg armor. I'm slowly pulling off the masking tape and I get super nervous! Is the paint gonna lift with the tape? Did some paint seep under the edges of the tape? Was the alignment with the edge crooked? So many things can go wrong! I've quit many a project because of paint mishaps.
  14. Nice collection! How many valks in your collection?
  15. You might need to do both sides? Otherwise they may not match.
  16. @peter You had me laughing so hard at having the picture of the queen at your desk! I'm not even gonna ask why you have it there. Great pic of her handling the hardware as well. @pengbuzz I can't believe what a great deal you got on your USS Missouri. Nice! @MechTech Thank you for posting that link. The prices seem reasonable and, thanks to you, I think I'll take the plunge and try lighting a kit. I came across one of my older builds and the arms fell off. They were just sitting in a box apart from the main kit. I filled the holes with Milliput and will insert a 2mm brass rod to secure the arms. These hasegawa battroids are fragile!
  17. What an awesome video! Thanks for posting that. The thigh joints are a great idea but look a little bit difficult to pull off. I was looking through the rest of his videos and looks like he also built a nice looking Q-Rau.
  18. @Thom Thank you! @derex3592 I use a circle cutting template. It's easy and takes just a few seconds. @peter I'm sure you're intelligent enough to light the kit, judging by how good all your kits come out. I think what you lack is maybe patience? I'm very intimidated with the whole lighting a kit thing. I haven't made much progress on the variable kit but still chugging along. Almost done with the battroid though.
  19. Oh wow, super excited to see all the differences.
  20. @peter I always enjoy seeing your updates and I love it when decals behave nicely. You're amassing quite a fleet of Star Trek ships there! Currently, I'm working on a Hasegawa Battroid Kakizaki version, an old Bandai variable 1/72 kit in CF livery, and a Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire. It feels great getting back to the workbench.
  21. @Parabellum Congratulations on completing the collection. Beautiful!
  22. @MechTech your project is coming along nicely! I really like your attention to detail! The way you fabricate these details with so much precision is super impressive. You're my hero!
  23. Ok, this is so awesome! I've been wanting this release! I knew it would happen someday. I'm getting three!
  24. Wow! I take a bit of time off and this is what I come back to?!?! 😂 Seriously though, everybody's projects are coming along great! I hope to post something soon!
