just hot box the box so it smells like weed rather than cigs how about throwing a desicant pack in the box? The little packet labeled "do not eat" that comes with most electronics. Keeps moisture away and does a pretty good job soaking up odors if given time. At the least it won't hurt anything.

at five sure... at sixteen drunk and high not so much I to know who duran duran are and only had access to robotech. ?The show that opened for it was "tranzor Z" . I to learned about macross later. Then I forgot about everything for about a decade. Then I was trying to comeplete the armor of a jetfire [my most beloved childhood toy] a friend pawned to me when he was about to get evicted and stumbled across this wonderful site where I learned/remembered all sorts of cool stuff. This was right about when the bandai re-issues came out and I was hooked once more. Especially now that I can buy stuff off the internet and the world is a smaller comunity. To be honest, I've seen both darl/macross and robotech... when I was a kid. I have yet to watch either since. It's all about the toys for me. I may not have seen every episode or movie from either series but I'm getting prouder of my valk collection . I've never seen macross plus but I recognize a good toys whenI see it. God bless yamato and its 19a blue goodness. Obviously there are some here who's collections put me to horrible shame but I know at the least I have enough 1/55's to JART them into submission . Especially once I mount broadheads in the noses of some customs I will say this though... for many "deprived" american kids who grew up watching america's elite fighting force battle it out each day with the largest terrorist organation in the world without anybody being able to hit the inside of a barn wall with the doors closed holding a bazzoka... watching fokker die in macross was a world shattering moment

Cheaper than a jetfire in similar condition plus they come with working guns. I'd avoid picking a reissue up in a "shop" as from what I've seen and heard most local stores mark them up at least 100% and sometimes more. The $35 cannon fodder has been spotted at $115.00 ?!?!? you can also check the for sale section here at MW as there are often really good deals to be had. In fact somebody is currently selling a complete set of reissues. as for taka style noses for jetfires... they have been made although are hard to find now-a-days. Thankfully all parts between a jetfire and a 1/55 are fully swapable, from arms to heads, legs to landing gear. There are a couple exceptions such as you can't swap only half the nose cone [go figure] and when doing a 1s head swap with anyother head you must swap neckplates as well, but aside from those issues you should have no issues. One of these days I'll be posting a complete step-by-step 1/55+jetfire repair manual / parts breakdown. I'll get around to it... honest . It's been half done for over a year already

I know nothing about the kits but fibre optics are a snap. It's basically just a strand of optical cable. You can route it just like tv cable. Shine a light in one end and out it comes at the other. Shine a colored light in one end and out it comes in that color at the far end. You can use small LEDs in a compartment or even a mini mag light bulb with filters for color. On light source in a centralized location can illuminate a whole lot of fibre optic line. You can also use button celss [aka watch batteries] to minimize space requirements but they will not last near as long so make sure it's easy to swap batteries. hope that helps.

Poo?!?!? was that an option? a few jetfires you were planning on making into customs. Don't feel bad. I have way more than a few I simply need to assemble from my parts bin. I guess I was a little to successful in my 1/55 parts drive as it seems like every time I get one assembled and 100% another two worth of parts come in the mail . SPeaking of which... I should pm that guy... seriously... better modding a re-issue than a jetfire. Besides the fact you should restore it to 100% before you custom it [which can be a royal pain if you don't have a massive parts bin] but you still have the jetfire blunt nose. I do love my jetfires mind you, but a blunt nose is a blunt nose. Thats why taka's make better lawn darts than jetfire . Until you mount broadheads in the nose anyways

I was gonna ask the same thing LOL. I'm always willing to help one become whole again... just ask my legion. don't quote me on this, but VF-1X might be driving a truck for extended periods banking up. I think it was VF-1X who sold me my tree maxx spawn figs moc just before he took off but it could have been somebody else. I know I had some dealings with VF-1X but with the passage of time all the wheeling and dealing tends to become a blur. HEck... I can't even remember what I got from phatslappy, although I'm pretty sure I got something at somepoint somewhere

I'd be down for a super max. Still don't have a 1/48 at all and a super would save time. Where's monkey and his love of hot fries when you need him? I'd pay him up front.

I was thinking about that too. You can only buy the Max reissue from Hong Kong sellers and with shipping it can excced the US$120 price of my local hobby shop. They also have the Hikaru and brown reissues at the same price, they might not know the Max and Miria have more collectable value. 323070[/snapback] at least you know which to buy LOL. You should probably pick up some cheap ones from ebay and sell them to the store for a lot less than they are charging. you both make money... which cuts down on how much the max actually costs you out of pocket
