they r spring loaded. At least on the taka 1j I just checked. I didn't want to remember where my taka gbp got to so I grabbed the first taka I saw. oh yeah... the pics of the mystery taka were on page two of the revisited thread... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...pic=16592&st=20

I could use another set once his needs are met in case anybody has two of each lying around

If money is no object expand your house with a dedicated toy room that or buy everything, send it to me, and then display the pictures I took of the stuff you sent me... that would save lots of room

it's the same story with a number of the 1/55's/ The vf-1s strike for instance. I think most of this was covered in the "1/55 revisited" thread. The biggest problem is finding original mib varients with original owners to compare with/against. If you didn't buy it factory sealed it may have been repaired and/or have mismatched parts like my mystery taka 1s.

I started a thread without knowing about it funnier still was the wife didn't pre-empt my spending but our ebay account was hacked. it could have been real bad but rather than bidding on tons of stuff the hacker relisted my camaro 5 times so while I still owe the irs some loot I'm not cut off from toys... yippie. as for tips on how to aquire a collection with a non-toy loving wife... first off... don't let her "transform" your officers pod [shudder] I'll fix that glaug eventually buy and sell. If you only buy they notice, if you buy and sell they notice less, especially if you make a profit. My wife still brags to her family about how much the "little metal men" [ie battletech mini's] I bought by weight sold for. trade as often as possible. I trade by neccessity as I'm not rich, but packages coming and going often with little change in the bank account balance seems to be acceptible to the wife... till she asks what happened to the psx2 anyways There is aways the "retirement fund" aspect as well. Simply point out how your 1/48 low vis has increased in value substantially more than your 401k in the same time period Help out over seas bidders. I've helped out a few here and there. I am currently helping out Deimos as he is in the phillipines and it is easier and cheaper for me to win stuff on ebay, have it shipped to me, and then ship large boxes to him. He has always paid promtly and while I make no profit the stuff I buy for myself doesn't get noticed by the wife. Out of the last 10 items I won 8 were for Deimos. One of the ones for me was only $10 shipped. unfortunately I just won another musha gundam at a good price... but more than I should have spent... hopefully I can blame it on Deimos saying it was another $100 "robot dog" [ie AT-AT] not that I didn't get severly reprimanded for the couple of insufficient funds charges when I picked up my first 1/48 for myself and one for a friend from neova. I should have had my friend pay in advance... now with owing the irs some loot and wanting a 1/48 gbp plus a vf-0 and a stealth with fast packs I need to sell some stuff and get a second job. When I sold the camaro and bought a truck I bought her a laptop as well. She wanted one but doesn't like spending money [i sooo love her] so I convinced her that the laptop would pay for itself as she could make auctions for ebay while watching tv . Expect lots of auctions from me in the near future

I haven't opened my first and I already want gbp for it... and a stealth... and a cannon fodder... damnit... I was so close to having all the 1/55's and yammie had to make something else I wanted. I sure hope gundam doesn't realease any more musha real-types

thats a long break... got any old citadel paints with flip top lids lying around???

you must be new here. Do a search on lego macross and all sorts of cool stuff pops up. Variable vf-1s lego sets, destroid monster lego, zen battle pod lego, destroid defender lego, even a glaug lego [mine will be better when I get to it though ]. I'm sure there have been others as well. I warn you though that you better be buying lego's by weight if you want to do bigger projects, and the specialty pieces will kill you.
-
so how many gbp is that now? The IRS gods are frowning on me. The wife changed the ebay password in anticipation of how much we owe... damnit time for me to get a second job to pay for toys I don't have time to play with

+ strike parts! Or Vf-1s Hikaru + normal fast pack. 376214[/snapback] + gbp armor... + any other accessories they come up with.

1/48 1s Roy For Sale At Bbts $109

looks like everybody can just bite me I guess... Props to those who got such a deal and also f-u from those of us who didn't . lord knows I don't complain,,, my unopened 1/48 with unopened strike armor is trying to figure out how my bandai lovin butt can justify buying a gbp from kev without the wife stabbing me. I wouln't worry about a strange chick but the wife aquired half the cool weapons I now own and has a few personal bows and swords of her own... mocking the wife is fun but when she pins you to the floor with a crossbow bolt through your foot and you can't answer the ups folk in a timely enough fashion things go rapidly down hill. on the posative note I have been told my titanium bo-staff should be ready soon. It will actually be a tungsten/berillium alloy for 18 landing gear 1"diameter 5' rod but after 1 year plus waiting I'm happy to get anything. The next one will come striaght from mc-d. Which reminds me I need to nag as while I have a challenger piece I don't have a voyer bit yet... and my pet rock in space never made is -

I'm trying to justify getting a 1/48 gbp now that my bandai 1/55 lovin but finally aquired one. Selling off excess missles would help justify the cost but would detroy the 20 year from now mib resale value... Let me think about it. You might actuallty be better off buying the new units and selling off units missing 4 missles each on ebay

clicky the link and get a 1s for 154.99?!?!?!? what did I do wrong? -
I already have the other 3 ones: 17S,17D and 19 fire. I really want to get that last one and I don't like those bootlegs. (maybe a bootleg 19 fire is just ok, but a 19S blazer is totally horrible!! ) 374345[/snapback] I'l keep my eyes open for you

I believe the technical diference is 115 +- 10 volts or 110 +- 10 volts so you should be fine. That and potaqntially a plug convertor. To be honest I'd feel much more comfortible doing it with a lamp than a laptop though

Where to buy in Japan?
kanata67 replied to Fortress_Maximus's topic in Where to Buy Macross, Auctions & Dealers Specials
udon is where it's at... not ramen. When you've eaten ramen dry out of the package for a month straight while living out of a car you will know why it's worth the extra quarter for the good noodles -
get a bootleg rather than a bandai [the only thing my my bandai lovin butt will say that about is the 17 and 19] if you can't afford a yamato which is so much better. If you are gonna get a bandai get the super cool chrome one that you need to whipe your finger prints off of because it's so shiney.
-
bandai re-issue jetfire ie blunted nose vf-1s super bandai re-issue elintseeker bandai re-issue ostrich re-issue 1/55 gbp-1s proper 1/55 scale glaug/officer's pod/marauder 1/55 scale joke machine 1/100 zen pod conversion kit [like a destroid conversion kit but with zen pods] re-issue 8" cyclone re-issue taka 1/3000 sdf-1 { I want shooty bits!!!!!} robot wars style destroid monster. Yeah I'm gonna build a monster lawn ornament that shoots tennis balls but it will never be robot wars or better capable how sad is it that most of my dream toys have already been made? how about a 1/55 max and milla marriage set? I know there have been customs but how about an official?
-
heineken 16oz can. spilled guinness draught I would suck out of my t-shirt
-
got a custom box to go with a custom toy that friggin sweet?
-
lord knows I love my marauder most of all... especially inner sphere with upgraded ppc's. Second comes the glaug, and finally comes the officers pod. yamaoto is much truer to the anime than HG, and a lot more inteligently designed as it wasn't "borrowed" from prior designs so blatently. Not that I don't have every hg 1/55 mpc made, but everyone around here knows I prefer my traditional 1/55's more even if it's a joon's or a jetfire. graham's comment almost made me do the same with beer

lets see if anybody has it already scanned before I dig up mine, pull it out of the box, and scan it myself. I would so rather let somebody else do it. having problems transforming it? it's pretty straightfoward. The only thing I needed the directions for was knowing the "head" radar split. Five of the friggin things I've repaired and I never knew that
-
I've got many of them saved but I'll let the original creators post the pics as I'm sure their pics are better. If they don't do it quickly I'll post my own picks of their work. I know al11 did some fantastic evil jetfire box art.
