    Monitoring Trackalaker all day is not ideal but it beats getting in line at my local Microcenter at 2am, lol. Apparently some people are still doing that, ugh. For the last several years its been a painful time to be a gamer caused by pandemic chip shortage, crypto, and now AI. I'm concerned it'll get worse even with the RTX 60xx series with nVIdia and AMD is chasing wholesale AI bucks. But I hope I'm wrong.

    Watching the new season of The White Lotus and some of the plot line is really f'd up. Yeah, I know its HBO Max but wadafuq?

    I've been following Trackalacker like it was a stock ticker yesterday and though I wanted a 5070 Ti I decided to splurge on a MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G SHADOW 3X OC for $1249 from their website. Still above my planned budget but I've always had mid-range cards so what the heck, lol. That being said supply seems to be improving, not great, but still improving. So scalpers can get f'd! Now I'm waiting on MSI to release their new MAG 850M mobo so can start on my next complete build soon!!

    Kinda sad I'm not the only one underwhelmed by this. Hollywood should move on to other properties and there many out there that they already bought the rights to. Tops for me in no special order would be: 1. Warhammer 40K 2. Attack on Titan 3. AKIRA 4. Deus Ex 5. The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers

    I used Win11 for work and its fine for me. I think as long as its not like Win8 I'll be OK with it. OMFG those stupid tiles. Win8 is one Microsoft OS that I'm glad I skipped.

    The only time nostalgia in ALIEN worked well was in Isolation which I think is still the best media in the ALIEN franchise since ALIENS.

    Weird clip that is trying to hit the nostalgia buttons. They keep forgetting what made ALIEN and ALIENS (even for a sequel!) so successful is that both felt fresh. Still, I'll check it out if it has good reviews.

    Yeah, Win10 is still good imo but its EOL is why I'm building a new PCs with Win11 for me and my children this year. For my children's PCs the parts will mostly be hand me downs from my current rig or used parts. Only part will be new will be the case so it'll look like a new PC to them.

    Try the used market like Criaigslist or Facebook Marketplace to save some $$. I see 5800X3D's selling for $300 to $350 which I think is a tad high. I'll be buying used PC parts for my son's complete build later this year.

    Congrats. Good excuse for a road trip. Last year I looked at the Taycan or other 4 seat sports car before I settled on a 2 seater 2024 Jaguar F-Type because of children, lol. Had a reminder of that this month when my daughter vomited in the back seat of my wife's Subaru Outback 🤮 I'm currently looking at replacing my dadmobile (2013 Nissan Juke) that has over 100K miles this Summer. Looking at something similar in size like a Kia Seltos or maybe a pre-owned Tesla Model Y. It's nice having a smaller AWD transport so it can easily fit in most parking spots. But yeah, we have 3 cars. 2 for transporting the family and the F-Type for fun and dates nights.

    Watched ANORA with my wife on Hulu. It's the film that practically nobody heard of but got multiple Oscars including Best Picture, lol. It was entertaining with lots of (.)(.) that you'd think it was a HBO MAX film 😎 Worth a watch but wouldn't pay money to see it in a theater.

    Not unless I pay scalper prices, lol. Seriously tho, I have time to wait at about two months before my set date at end of May for my next complete build that I took a week off of work for. Still waiting on MSI mobo to be available to buy too...

    I bought 990 Evo Plus as well for my next complete build. Bought a 2Tb for OS & games and a 4Tb for media that needs fast editing. I have everything for my next complete build except the mobo and GPU. Currently looking for a MSRP 5070 Ti but ultimately waiting on MSI Mortar 850M Wifi mobo to be released hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

    Godzilla 2014 had the best VFX and Godzilla Minus One had the best human story to this day. It'd be nice if that could be combined, it would be a perfect film!

    Not a boxing fan but had the George Foreman grill too. It was OK but no match for a outdoor charcoal grill or a super hot pan for steaks.
