    Depends on you, I buy kits to build and toys often get customise into diorama. I could care less about the resell value, collecting, etc .... That is not my hobby.

    Hi. KITT is nearly done, base is painted and starting on the figure. No pics as camera is on the blink. The build is straightforward with no difficult areas, I didn't paint the body and instead polished it out with a topcompound 2000. The led kit(supplied or bought separate) just drops in and is secured with4 screws. 2 colours available red=KITT, orange= CARR.

    Been changing on how I build kits, cancelled a lot of stuff from my PW. Will try more for showcase items and commissions, also trying to get back into custom paint jobs for bikes and helmets.

    Orange flight suites are the norm for testflights, green, kakhi, etc are real flights. Strange Stars Wars also uses orange for the Rebels. The Racoon has already been cleared for production plus some characters.

    1/144 progress, details and landing gear to come. After painting cockpits and onto weathering. I çan't mention enough get the Fine Molds kits before they are gone, some kits already OOS. Afte this some 1/12 Bike coolness. 3 V-Twin engines 600cc, 1000cc & 1600cc.

    Working on the 1/144 Millennium Falcon and the 1/144 Bobba Fett Slave 1. Mango Fett Slave 1 gets done next month. Stocked up a bit since Fine Molds will no longer produce Star Wars models. Next up is the Robot Battle MK44(double kit).

    I meet Suzuki San once a week for our prayer meeting, looks like they will cut down feature films as they can tie up resources for 2-3 yes. They are always busy with other stuff.

    Biggest anime market outside Japan is France followed by Italy, Germany, Middle East, South East Asia. The USA stopped being the biggest a long time ago.

    I got the Dougram kit, Roundfacer is in the PW and the Blockhead is preordered. Kits are typical Max Factory quality and detail level(very good). Don't have a 1/60 Valk so can't compare.

    I quiet like some of the early concept art of the designs from the original trilogy. Some like the MF are way different.

    Question: Would the rebels & empire still exist 30yrs after the 2nd Death Star was blown up? To me it looks more like it would fit into the prequel trilogy.

    Yesterday I was talking about detail painting on KITT. Below is an image of the steering wheel/instructions and the 2 button panels on it? 2nd image is the roof panel. In addition there are button panels/led on the dashboard, centre console, roof control panel and accelerator pedal. No decals for those parts. Not many parts to the kit. Will take some time to paint the LOT using a magnifying glass.

    With the RG kits I paint most of the decals, easier for the copper etc. Yes, some parts like to drop off so I glue all parts to the attachment points, this way I can still move it after assembly. Tamiya thin cement works well for that.

    Will you need a HoldnFold for this kit? Also you got some PE Scissors. Advice for removing parts cover one side of the sheet with sticky tape, this will prevent smaller parts from launching themselves into ......

    This going the Birthday present for my son, need to finish before end of next month. Not problem except the consoles those got many coloured buttons and those are teeny in that scale 1st is a layer of silver over which go the clear colours. Most likely will use toothpicks (no Brush) for those. Pics tomorrow in my 'creation' thread. Michael also needs some colour, LED are working smooth. Still got the 1/48 Airwolf and Blue Thunder helis somewhere.

Ordered(forthe next half year) 1/24 Audi A4 DTM 2009 1/72 Falco from Future Boy Conan 1/200 Barracuda from Future Boy Conan 1/12 Yamaha XV100 Virago 1/72 Blockhead and Roundfacer from Dougram 1/8 BMW R100RT French Police Bike 1/20 Brutishdog from Votoms 1/48 Ingram from life action Patlabor 1/35 Ingram 2 with LED set 1/20 Camel from SF3D SD new Turbo Custom x 3 Smaller items like Space battle ship Yamato. No impulse purchases from now on. Plus, there is nothing Macross related that I want nor has anything of interest been announced.

    OK, busy right now with other matters. My Buddhist sect will host a big event at Ryōgoku Kokugikan, with members from all over Japan and overseas. This event only happens once every 10-20yrs. Also my volunteer work picked up, I do teach some overseas cooking and plamo building to teens at the local community centre. As can be imagined workbench is also affected. Below I will post pics of kits as they pass across the bench towards final completion. Small progress on each. This mornings lot, 1/12 Honda Steed & Yamaha XV1600 Dragstar after lunch. My 1/12 Ride Armor has some serious breakage(old plastic) need to pull apart fix with SSP-HG which I ordered. SD Naval Fleet,the Kongo is still in my PW, the Akagi(Carrier) has over 200 parts. 'Shining Force' Ferrari 348TS Itasha. Idolmasters 1/72 Draken. SD Flight Wing. SF3D 1/20 Grosser Hund Kyklops. 1/24 Knight Rider on its Resin Base. Besides all good intentions another plan is foiled. Decided to assemble the wheels on both bikes, the Steed worked out OK. The XV1600 needs to have the airholes on the disc brakes drilled out x 3. Looks like my 0.5mm drill bit went missing, so I need to go and buy a new one before proceeding. The steed frond brake already has the holes in it.
