There was a Custom VF-1A in gbp armour on this site a while ago painted to look like box art of a model kit does anyone know where this is? It looked like the crusader mech scheme from battlettech with tan and red scheme for the armour

Even hasbro is giving their transformers line a gerwalk mode look at generations whirl! So can't be all bad liking the blitzwing gerwalk pic earlier

I imagine its difficult to get too far away from orig design too much once people are familiar with it or else it will lose the reason people are interested in it in first place, wonderfull evolution in these valks tho i think they have run out of where to go with the evolution of the head design including this one as they seem to be looking more cluttered and less funtional

I think all the macross mecha have that insect look, eg vf-1j head and especially the vf-0s it even has mandibles, i think kawamori knew what he was doing when making the battroid head design to compliment the visible wings and head antenna/cannons colour scheme is also insect like on some of the other frontier valks

Im making a custom too and have picked up some tips for the clear parts, colour them with the appropriate sharpie pen iys a lot simpler than other methods such as using thinners on paints and dipping them. Curious how you get on with the canopy decal, i ended up masking mine, praying and spraying!

Thats some great paint job! Im in the process of a custom paintjob too but finding it difficult to do the black verniers on arms and legs, do you have any tips?

Also like mechaninac the only regret is buying before cf the vf-171 price drop, that and not preordering the rvf-25, you cant win! the vf-19s is amazing Just wondering if price will increase or decrease in the coming months

There should be pin lengths and Width sizes on the instructions, make sure your using the correct width, i used the correct pin held firmly with pliers to push an incorrectly placed pin out.

Hey Mickyg your camo valk is looking good can see you have gaps in the parts that fit into the legs on the metal t bar, i had some problems with mine do u find when you fit the legs the removable cover for the air intakes doesnt stay on?

im just finishing my 1-s i had some trouble with the same head part and actually used the wrong pin in it. using pliers to push pins in seems to work well as long as you dont go in at an angle, i found a toothpick cut to sizemakes a good replacementpin for the 2mm haha i remember seeing an alternative instructions on the net telling you to use alternate pins to the translated instructions not sure where found them but might be of some use.
